Trichoderma-Induced Improvement in Growth, Photosynthetic Pigments, Proline, and Glutathione Levels in Cucurbita pepo Seedlings under Salt Stress显示文摘Salt stress is one of the major abiotic stress in plants. However, traditional approaches are not always efficient in conferring salt tolerance.Experiments were conducted to understand the role of Trichoderma spp.(T.harzianum and T.viride)in growth, chlorophyll(Chl)synthesis, and proline accumulation of C.pepo exposed to salinity stress. There were three salt stress(50,100,and 150 mM NaCl)lavels and three different Trichoderma inoculation viz.T.harzianum,T.viride,and T.harzianum+T.viride.Salt stress significantly declined the growth in terms of the shoot and root lengths;however,it was improved by the inoculation of Trichoderma spp.C.pepo inoculated with Trichoderma exhibited increased synthesis of pigments like chl a,chl b,carotenoids, and anthocyanins under normal conditions. It was interesting to observe that such positive effects were maintained under salt-stressed conditions,as reflected by the amelioration of the salinity-mediated decline in growth, physiology and antioxidant defense. The inoculation of Trichoderma spp.enhanced the synthesis of proline, glutathione, proteins and increased the relative water content. In addition,Trichoderma inoculation increased membrane stability and reduced the generation of hydrogen peroxide. Therefore,Trichoderma spp.can be exploited either individually or in combination to enhance the growth and physiology of C.pepo under saline conditions. | Mona H.Soliman Taghreed S.Alnusaire Nessreen FAbdelbaky Aisha A.M.Alayafi Mirza Hasanuzzaman Mohamed M.Rowezak Mohamed El-Esawi Amr Elkelish | 2020 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2020,89,3: | 4
结果术前1个月BMI(47.00±7.15)kg/m^2,术后6个月BMI(33.79±6.06)kg/m^2,BMI下降(13.21±5.47)kg/m^2(t=26.103,P=0.000)。
我们检索了MEDLINE、Embase、Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials和Cochrane Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects等数据库,以及有英文翻译的国外文献。

An explicit and novel structure, lattice dynamics, and photoemission of La-doped nanocrystalline SrZrO_(3) perovskite显示文摘As no complete and comprehensive studies have been previously reported for La-doped nanocrystalline SrZrO_(3)(SZO),we researched herein a detailed investigation for pure and La-doped samples.A modified solid-state reaction process, including successive cycles of milling and sintering at high temperature, was followed to produce SZO and Sr_(0.9)La_(0.1)ZrO_(3)(SLZO)powdered ingots.Rietveld analysis of X-ray diffractometer data predicts that the two samples exhibit orthorhombic structure with an increase in crystallite size by~25%for doped sample.A great reduction in Raman modes intensity(~60%)and an annihilation of several vibration modes were detected using Raman spectroscopy. The degree of ordering on the B-site was recorded to be higher in La-doped sample.According to ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)absorption,a decrease in the optical gap width(E_(g))from 4.40 eV to 4.21 eV was achieved by La incorporation due to the presence of additional defect states such as oxygen and Sr vacancies at the band edge. The process of electron-hole recombination was studied using photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy.Deconvolution of PL spectra yielded four emission bands:one green band, one blue band, and two violet bands.Highly intense violet emission atλ=393 nm approximately five times greater than that detected for pure SZO is realized as La^(3+)substitutes for Sr^(2+).Such property nominates SLZO for technological applications requiring highly intense violet emission,e.g.,light-emitting diodes. | Kamilia Sedeek Nahed Makram Hanan Hantour Taghreed Zaghloul Amer Shimaa Ali Said | 2021 | Rare Metals2021,40,1: | 0
Liver dysfunction-related COVID-19:A narrative review显示文摘The coronavirus 2019 disease(COVID-19)is caused by a novel coronavirus, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2.This disease was designated by the World Health Organization as a pandemic on March 11,2020,which is not seen before. There are no classical features among the cases of the disease owing to the involvement of nearly all body tissues by the virus.Hepatic involvement is one of the characteristics of the COVID-19 course. There are six possible mechanisms of such involvement:Direct virus injury,drug-induced effect, inflammatory cytokine storm,hypoxia-ischemic destruction, abnormalities in liver function tests, and pre-existing chronic liver diseases.Liver abnormalities are seen commonly in the severe or critical stage of COVID-19.Therefore,these abnormalities determine the COVID-19 severity and carry a high rate of morbidity and mortality. The elderly and patients with comorbidities like diabetes mellitus and hypertension are more vulnerable to liver involvement.Another issue that needs to be disclosed is the liver manifestations following the COVID-19 vaccination, such as autoimmune hepatitis.Of note, complete vaccination with third and fourth booster doses is necessary for patients with previous chronic liver diseases or those who have been subjected to liver transplantation. This review aims to explore the various aspects of liver dysfunction during the COVID-19 course regarding the epidemiological features, predisposing factors, pathophysiological mechanisms, hepatic manifestations due to COVID-19 or following vaccination, role of liver function tests in the assessment of COVID-19 severity, adverse effects of the therapeutic agents for the disease, and prognosis. | Taghreed S Saeed Al-Rawi Raid M Al-Ani | 2023 | World Journal of Meta-Analysis2023,11,1: | 0
Elabela is a reliable biomarker for predicting early onset preeclampsia:A comparative study显示文摘BACKGROUND Preeclampsia(PE)is a multisystemic metabolic disease with an undetermined etiology.PE is a worldwide cause of maternal and perinatal morbidity, subdivided into early(EoPE)and late-onset(LoPE)according to 34 wk of gestation as a divider. Many researchers investigated biomarkers for predicting PE to halt its consequences on the feto-maternal outcome.Elabela(Ela)is a newly discovered peptide hormone that was implicated in PE pathogenesis.Earlier rodent studies discussed Ela’s role in controlling blood pressure. Moreover,Ela deficiency was associated with PE development.AIM To test whether plasma Ela could serve as a reliable marker for predicting PE based on the time of onset(EoPE vs LoPE)compared to age and body mass matched healthy controls since no definitive treatment exists for PE but to terminate a pregnancy.METHODS This case-control study recruited(n=90)pregnant who fulfilled inclusion criteria;they were allocated into three groups:EoPE(30/90)(<34 wk of gestation);LoPE(30/90)(≥34 wk of gestation);and healthy pregnant(30/90).Demographic criteria;biochemical, hematological, and maternal plasma Ela levels were recorded for comparison.RESULTS Serum Ela was significantly reduced in EoPE compared to LoPE and healthy controls(P=0.0023).The correlation confirmed a strong inverse relationship with mean atrial blood pressure(r=-0.7,P<0.001),while gestational age and platelets count showed a moderate correlation with(r=0.4 with P<0.0001).No correlation was confirmed between the body mass index(BMI)and urine albumin. The predictive ability of 25 centile serum Ela had an Odds ratio of 5.21,95%confidence interval(1.28,21.24),P=0.02 for predicting EoPE.The receiver operator characteristic curve defined the Ela cutoff value at>9.156 with 96.7%and 93.3%sensitivity and specificity,P<0.0001 in predicting EoPE.CONCLUSION A strong correlation of serum Ela with PE parameters with excellent sensitivity and specificity in distinguishing EoPE independent of the BMI,age, and blood pressure which makes Ela a recommendable marker in screening.Further research is warranted to explore prognostic and therapeutic applications for Ela in PE. | Eham Amer Ali Wassan Nori Alea Farhan Salman Taghreed S Saeed Al-Rawi Ban H Hameed Raid M Al-Ani | 2023 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2023,11,17: | 0
