| 1 | Differential colorectal carcinogenesis:Molecular basis and clinical relevance显示文摘Colorectal cancer(CCR) is one of the most frequent cancers in developed countries.It poses a major public health problem and there is renewed interest in understanding the basic principles of the molecular biology of colorectal cancer.It has been established that sporadic CCRs can arise from at least two different carcinogenic pathways.The traditional pathway,also called the suppressor or chromosomal instability pathway,follows the Fearon and Vogelstein model and shows mutation in classical oncogenes and tumour suppressor genes,such as K-ras,adenomatous polyposis coli,deleted in colorectal cancer,or p53.Alterations in the Wnt pathway are also very common in this type of tumour.The second main colorectal carcinogenesis pathway is the mutator pathway.This pathway is present in nearly 15% of all cases of sporadic colorectal cancer.It is characterized by the presence of mutations in the microsatellite sequences caused by a defect in the DNA mismatch repair genes,mostly in hMLH1 or hMSH2.These two pathways have clear molecular differences,which will be reviewed in this article,but they also present distinct histopathological features.More strikingly,their clinical behaviours are completely different,having the 'mutator' tumours a better outcome than the 'suppressor' tumours. | Alberto Morán Paloma Ortega Carmen de Juan Tamara Fernández-Marcelo Cristina Frías Andrés Sánchez-Pernaute Antonio José Torres Eduardo Díaz-Rubio Pilar Iniesta Manuel Benito | 2010 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2010，2，3： | 5 |

| 4 | On the criteria to create a susceptibility map to debris flow at a regional scale using Flow-R显示文摘Studies on susceptibility to debris flows at regional scale(100-1000 km^2) are important for the protection and management of mountain areas. To reach this objective, routing models, mainly based on land topography, can be used to predict susceptible areas rapidly while necessitating few input data. In this research, Flow-R model is implemented to create the susceptibility map for the debris flow of the Vizze Valley(BZ, North-Eastern Italy; 134 km^2). The analysis considers the model application at local scale for three sub-catchments and then it explores the model upscaling at the regional scale by verifying two methods to generate the source areas of debris-flow initiation. Using data of an extreme event occurred in the Vizze Valley(4 August 2012) and historical information, the modeling verification highlights that the propagation parameters are relatively simple to set in order to obtain correct runout distances. | 12 | Low-grade fibromyxoid sarcoma of the liver: A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Low grade fibromyxoid sarcoma(LGFMS)is a rare and benign mesenchymal tumor with indolent course,most commonly found in young or middle-aged men.The majority of the LGFMSs are located in the trunk and deep soft tissue of the lower extremities.They appear as well circumscribed,although not encapsulated,which often leads to incomplete surgical resection.Despite their seemingly benign appearance,these tumors have aggressive behavior with high metastatic and recurrence rates.Accurate histopathologic examination of the specimen and its immunohistochemical analysis are mandatory for a precise diagnosis.CASE SUMMARY We report a case of a 38 year-old-man who presented with jaundice and upper abdominal discomfort.Multi-detector computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging showed a large left liver tumor mass,extending to the hepatoduodenal ligament.Left hepatectomy was performed with resection and reconstruction of hepatic artery and preservation of middle hepatic vein.Histopathologic examination confirmed the tumor being a low-grade fibromyxoid sarcoma.Three and a half years after surgery,the patient died after being diagnosed with spine metastasis.CONCLUSION Due to poor response to all modalities of adjuvant treatment,we consider that the focus of treatment should be on surgery as the only option for curing the disease. | Vladimir Dugalic Igor I Ignjatovic Jelena Djokic Kovac Nikola Ilic Jelena Sopta Slavenko R Ostojic Dragan Vasin Marko D Bogdanovic Igor Dumic Tamara Milovanovic | 2021 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2021，9，1： | 1 |
