2Malus-metasurface-assisted polarization multiplexing显示文摘Polarization optics plays a pivotal role in diffractive,refractive,and emerging flat optics,and has been widely employed in contemporary optical industries and daily life.Advanced polarization manipulation leads to robust control of the polarization direction of light.Nevertheless,polarization control has been studied largely independent of the phase or intensity of light.Here,we propose and experimentally validate a Malus-metasurface-assisted paradigm to enable simultaneous and independent control of the intensity and phase properties of light simply by polarization modulation.The orientation degeneracy of the classical Malus’s law implies a new degree of freedom and enables us to establish a one-to-many mapping strategy for designing anisotropic plasmonic nanostructures to engineer the Pancharatnam–Berry phase profile,while keeping the continuous intensity modulation unchanged.The proposed Malus metadevice can thus generate a near-field greyscale pattern,and project an independent far-field holographic image using an ultrathin and single-sized metasurface.This concept opens up distinct dimensions for conventional polarization optics,which allows one to merge the functionality of phase manipulation into an amplitudemanipulation-assisted optical component to form a multifunctional nano-optical device without increasing the complexity of the nanostructures.It can empower advanced applications in information multiplexing and encryption,anti-counterfeiting,dual-channel display for virtual/augmented reality,and many other related fields.Liangui Deng Juan Deng Zhiqiang Guan Jin Tao Yang Chen Yan Yang Daxiao Zhang Jibo Tang Zhongyang Li Zile Li Shaohua Yu Guoxing Zheng Hongxing Xu Cheng-Wei Qiu Shuang Zhang 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:7

4Rational design of phosphorus-doped cobalt sulfides electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution显示文摘Moderate anionic doping is an effective approach to improve the performance of electrocatalysts toward hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)since it can adjust the electronic structure,activesite,and phase.The reported studies mainly focus on designing P doped C0S2,while otherphases of cobalt sulfide,such as Co1-xS and Co9S8 doped with P are rarely investigated for HER electrocatalysts.Herein,various cobalt sulfides(including CoSg/Co1-xS,Co1-xS,and Co9S8)doped with P are anchored on carbon cloth through a facile hydrothermal method.Among tested electrocatalysts,P doped Co1-xS exhibits excellent electrocatalytic performance with an overpotential of 110 and 165 mV(vs.RHE)for currentdensities of 10 and 100 mA·cm^-2,respectively.Density functional theory calculations reveal that P doped Co1-xS possesses a smaller bandgapand more optimal hydrogen adsorption sites than pristine Co1-xS.This work initially investigates various cobalt sulfides doped with P and furthergets in sight into the activity improvement mechanism of P dopi ng,which could guide the desig n of earth-abunda nt HER electrocatalysts for the'hydrogen economy'.Guoxing Qu Tianli Wu Yanan Yu Zekang Wang Yang Zhou Zhendong Tang Qin Yue 2019Nano Research2019,12,12:5
5Filling ability of semi-solid A356 aluminum alloy slurry in rheo-diecasting显示文摘The effects of slurry temperature,injection pressure,and piston velocity on the rheo-filling ability of semisolid A356 al- loys were studied by the reho-diecasting methods.The results show that the slurry temperature of the semi-solid A356 aluminum al- loy has an important effect on the filling ability;the higher the slurry temperature,the better is the filling ability,and the appropriate slurry temperature for rheo-filling is in the range of 585-595℃.The injection pressure also has a great effect on the filling ability, and it is appropriate to the rheo-filling when the injection pressure is in the range of 15-25 MPa.The piston velocity also has a great effect on the filling ability,and it is appropriate to the rheo-filling when the piston velocity is in the range of 0.072-0.12 m/s.The filling ability of the slurry prepared by low superheat pouring with weak electromagnetic stirring is very good and the microstructural distribution in the rheo-formed die castings is homogeneous,which is advantageous to the high quality die casting.Yuelong Bai Weimin Mao Songfu Gao Guoxing Tang Jun Xu 2008Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2008,15,1:5
6A Novel Hybrid FA-Based LSSVR Learning Paradigm for Hydropower Consumption Forecasting显示文摘Due to the nonlinearity and nonstationary of hydropower market data, a novel hybrid learning paradigm is proposed to predict hydropower consumption, by incorporating firefly algorithm(FA) into least square support vector regression(LSSVR), i.e., FA-based LSSVR model. In the novel model, the powerful and effective artificial intelligence(AI) technique, i.e., LSSVR, is employed to forecast hydropower consumption. Furthermore, a promising AI optimization tool, i.e., FA, is especially introduced to address the crucial but difficult task of parameters determination in LSSVR(e.g.,hyper and kernel function parameters). With the Chinese hydropower consumption as sample data,the empirical study has statistically confirmed the superiority of the novel FA-based LSSVR model to other benchmark models(including existing popular traditional econometric models, AI models and similar hybrid LSSVRs with other popular parameter searching tools), in terms of level and directional accuracy. 7Direct Numerical Simulation of the Pulsed Arc Discharge in Supersonic Compression Ramp Flow显示文摘Direct numerical simulation(DNS)of shock wave/turbulent boundary layer interaction(SWTBLI)with pulsed arc discharge is carried out in this paper.The subject in the study is a Ma=2.9 compression flow over a 24-degree ramp.The numerical approaches were validated by the experimental results in the same flow conditions.The heat source model was added to the Navier-Stokes equation to serve as the energy deposition of the pulsed arc discharge.Four streamwise locations are selected to apply energy deposition.The effect of the pulsed arc discharge on the ramp-induced flow separation has been studied in depth.The DNS results demonstrate the incentive locations play a dominant role in suppressing the separated flow.Results show that pulsed heating is characterized by a thermal blockage,which leads to streamwise deflection.The incentive locations upstream the interaction zone of the base flow have a better control effect.The separation bubble shape shows as'spikes',and the downstream flow of the heated region is accelerated due to the momentum exchange between the upper boundary layer and the bottom boundary layer.The high-speed upper fluid is transferred to the bottom,and thus enhances its ability to resist the flow separation.More stripe vortex structures are also generated at the edge of the flat-plate.Furthermore,the turbulent kinetic disturbance energy is increased in the flow filed.The disturbances that originate from the pulsed heating are capable of increasing the turbulent intensity and then diminishing the trend of flow separation.SONG Guoxing LI Jun TANG Mengxiao 2020Journal of Thermal Science2020,29,6:2

10A CO and CO2 tolerating (La0.9Ca0.1)2(Ni0.75Cu0.25)O4+δ Ruddlesden-Popper membrane for oxygen separation显示文摘A series of novel dense mixed conducting ceramic membranes based on K2NiF4-type(La1-xCax)2(Ni0.75Cu0.25)O4+δwas successfully prepared through a sol-gel route.Their chemical compatibility,oxygen permeability,CO and CO2 tolerance,and long-term CO2 resistance regarding phase composition and crystal structure at different atmospheres were studied.The results show that higher Ca contents in the material lead to the formation of CaCO3.A constant oxygen permeation flux of about 0.63 mL·min−1·cm−2 at 1173 K through a 0.65 mm thick membrane was measured for(La0.9Ca0.1)2(Ni0.75Cu0.25)O4+δ,using either helium or pure CO2 as sweep gas.Steady oxygen fluxes with no sign of deterioration of this membrane were observed with increasing CO2 concentration.The membrane showed excellent chemical stability towards CO2 for more than 1360 h and phase stability in presence of CO for 4 h at high temperature.In addition,this membrane did not deteriorate in a high-energy CO2 plasma.The present work demonstrates that this(La0.9Ca0.1)2(Ni0.75Cu0.25)O4+δmembrane is a promising chemically robust candidate for oxygen separation applications.Guoxing Chen Marc Widenmeyer Binjie Tang Louise Kaeswurm Ling Wang Armin Feldhoff Anke Weidenkaff 2020Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2020,14,3:0
