1The temporal and spatial patterns of terrestrial net primary productivity in China显示文摘In this paper, we use CEVSA, a process-based model, which has been validated on regional and global scales, to explore the temporal and spatial patterns of Net Primary Productivity (NPP) and its responses to interannual climate fluctuations in China’s terrestrial ecosystems over the period 1981-1998. The estimated results suggest that, in this study period, the averaged annual total NPP is about 3.09 Gt C/yr -1 and average NPP is about 342 g C/m 2 . The results also showed that the precipitation was the key factor determining the spatial distribution and temporal trends of NPP. Temporally, the total NPP exhibited a slowly increasing trend. In some ENSO years (e.g. 1982, 1986, 1997) NPP decreased clearly compared to the previous year, but the relationship between ENSO and NPP is complex due to the integrated effects of monsoons and regional differentiation. Spatially, the relatively high NPP occurred at the middle high latitudes, the low latitudes and the lower appeared at the middle latitudes. On national scale, precipitation is the key control factor on NPP variations and there exists a weak correlation between NPP and temperature, but regional responses are greatly different.TAOBo LIKerang SHAOXuemei CAOMingkui 2003Journal of Geographical Sciences2003,13,2:14
2Optimized Separation of Pharmacologically Active Xanthones from Securidaca inappendiculata by Capillary Electrophoresis显示文摘A capillary electrophoresis (CE) method has been firstly used for the separation of the therapeutically important xanthones from Securidaca inappendiculata. The separation of the nine xanthones was systematically optimized with respect to pH, concentration of running buffers, addition of sulfated b-CD, applied voltage and column temperature. 4The genetic equidistance result:misreading by the molecular clock and neutral theory and reinterpretation nearly half of a century later显示文摘In 1963,Margoliash discovered the unexpected genetic equidistance result after comparing cytochrome c sequences from different species.This finding,together with the hemoglobin analyses of Zuckerkandl and Pauling in 1962,directly inspired the ad hoc molecular clock hypothesis.Unfortunately,however,many biologists have since mistakenly viewed the molecular clock as a genuine reality,which in turn inspired Kimura,King,and Jukes to propose the neutral theory of molecular evolution.Many years of studies have found numerous contradictions to the theory,and few today believe in a universal constant clock.What is being neglected,however,is that the failure of the molecular clock hypothesis has left the original equidistance result an unsolved mystery.In recent years,we fortuitously rediscovered the equidistance result,which remains unknown to nearly all researchers.Incorporating the proven virtues of existing evolutionary theories and introducing the novel concept of maximum genetic diversity,we proposed a more complete hypothesis of evolutionary genetics and reinterpreted the equidistance result and other major evolutionary phenomena.The hypothesis may rewrite molecular phylogeny and population genetics and solve major biomedical problems that challenge the existing framework of evolutionary biology.HU TaoBo LONG MengPing YUAN DeJian ZHU ZhuBing HUANG YiMin HUANG Shi 2013Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,3:2

17Ultrasound-assisted co-precipitation synthesis of mesoporous Co_(3)O_(4)–CeO_(2)composite oxides for highly selective catalytic oxidation of cyclohexane显示文摘The one-step highly selective oxidation of cyclohexane into cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol as the essential intermediates of nylon-6 and nylon-66 is considerably challenging.Therefore,an efficient and low-cost catalyst must be urgently developed to improve the efficiency of this process.In this study,a Co_(3)O_(4)–CeO2 composite oxide catalyst was successfully prepared through ultrasound-assisted co-precipitation.This catalyst exhibited a higher selectivity to KA-oil,which was benefited from the synergistic effects between Co^(3+))/Co^(2+))and Ce^(4+)/Ce^(3+)redox pairs,than bulk CeO2 and/or Co_(3)O_(4).Under the optimum reaction conditions,89.6%selectivity to KA-oil with a cyclohexane conversion of 5.8%was achieved over Co_(3)O_(4)–CeO2.Its catalytic performance remained unchanged after five runs.Using the synergistic effects between the redox pairs of different transition metals,this study provides a feasible strategy to design high-performance catalysts for the selective oxidation of alkanes.Shangjun Fu Kuiyi You Zhenpan Chen Taobo Liu Qiong Wang Fangfang Zhao Qiuhong Ai Pingle Liu He’an Luo 2022Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2022,16,8:1

20Separation of Biphenyl Nitrile Compounds by Microemulsion Electrokinetic Chromatography with Mixed Surfactants显示文摘A mixture of nine biphenyl nitrile compounds with high hydrophobicity and similar structures was successfully separated by microemulsion electrokinetic chromatography (MEEKC) within 30 min. The buffer system contained 100 mmol/L sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), 80 mmol/L sodium cholate (SC), 0.81% heptane, 7.5% n-butanol, 10% acetonitrile and 10 mmol/L borate. The addition of SC, organic modifiers, sample preparation and temperature all showed remarkable effect on the separation.
