| 1 | Fluoroquinolones for the treatment of latent Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection in liver transplantation显示文摘Solid organ transplantation(SOT)is the best treatment option for end-stage organ disease.Newer immunosuppressive agents have reduced the incidence of graft rejection but have increased the risk of infection,particularly due to the reactivation of latent infections due to opportunistic agents such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis.Active tuberculosis(TB)after SOT is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality.Most cases of posttransplant TB are secondary to reactivation of latent tuberculosis infection(LTBI)due to the effects of long-term immunosuppressive therapy.Risk minimization strategies have been developed to diagnose LTBI and initiate treatment prior to transplantation.Isoniazid with vitamin B6 supplementation is the treatment of choice.However,liver transplantation(LT)candidates and recipients have an increased risk of isoniazid-induced liver toxicity,leading to lower treatment completion rates than in other SOT populations.Fluoroquinolones(FQs)exhibit good in vitro antimycobacterial activity and a lower risk of drug-induced liver injury than isoniazid.In the present review,we highlight the disease burden posed by posttransplant TB and summarize the emerging clinical evidence supporting the use of FQs for the treatment of LTBI in LT recipients and candidates. | Jose Tiago Silva Rafael San-Juan Mario Fernández-Ruiz José María Aguado | 2019 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2019，25，26： | 5 |
| 2 | Postpartum depression:A systematic review of the genetics involved显示文摘Postpartum depression is one of the most prevalent psychopathologies. Its prevalence is estimated to be between 10% and 15%. Despite its multifactorial etiology, it is known that genetics play an important role in the genesis of this disorder. This paper reviews epidemiological evidence supporting the role of genetics in postpartum depression(PPD). The main objectives of this review are to determine which genes and polymorphisms are associated with PPD and discuss how this association may occur. In addition, this paper explores whether these genes are somehow related to or even the same as those linked to Major Depression(MD). To identify gaps in the current knowledge that require investigation, a systematic review was conducted in the electronic databases Pub Med, LILACS and Sci ELO using the index terms 'postpartum depression' and 'genetics'. Literature searches for articles in peerreviewed journals were made until April 2014. PPD was indexed 56 times with genetics. The inclusion criteria were articles in Portuguese, Spanish or English that were available by institutional means or sent by authors upon request; this search resulted in 20 papers. Genes and polymorphisms traditionally related to MD, which are those involved in the serotonin, catecholamine, brain-derived neurotrophic factor and tryptophan metabolism, have been the most studied, and some have been related to PPD. The results are conflicting and some depend on epigenetics, which makes the data incipient. | 3 | High prevalence of vitamin A deficiency in Crohn's disease patients according to serum retinol levels and the relative dose-response test显示文摘AIM:To assess the vitamin A status of patients with Crohn's disease(CD) by evaluating serum retinol levels and the relative dose response(RDR) test(liver retinol stores).METHODS:Vitamin A nutritional status was measured by serum retinol obtained by high performance liquid chromatography and the RDR test for evaluation of the hepatic stores.Body composition was performed by densitometry by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry.Vitamin A dietary intake was assessed from a semiquantitative food frequency questionnaire.RESULTS:This study included 38 CD patients and 33 controls.Low serum retinol concentrations were detected in 29% of CD patients vs 15% in controls(P < 0.005).The RDR test was positive in 37% of CD patients vs 12% in controls,which indicated inadequate hepatic vitamin A stores(P < 0.005).Individuals with hypovitaminosis A had lower BMI and body fat compared with those without this deficiency.There was no association between vitamin A deficiency and its dietary intake,ileal location,presence of disease activity and prior bowel resections.CONCLUSION:Patients with CD have higher prevalence of vitamin A deficiency,as assessed by two independent methods. | Márcia Soares-Mota Tianny A Silva Luanda M Gomes Marco AS Pinto Laura MC Mendon?a Maria Lúcia F Farias Tiago Nunes Andrea Ramalho Cyrla Zaltman | 2015 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2015，21，5： | 4 |
