| 1 | Hazard assessment of landslide disaster using information value method and analytical hierarchy process in highly tectonic Chamba region in bosom of Himalaya显示文摘The present study is focused on a comparative evaluation of landslide disaster using analytical hierarchy process and information value method for hazard assessment in highly tectonic Chamba region in bosom of Himalaya. During study, the information about the causative factors was generated and the landslide hazard zonation maps were delineated using Information Value Method(IV) and Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP) using Arc GIS(ESRI). For this purpose, the study area was selected in a part of Ravi river catchment along one of the landslide prone Chamba to Bharmour road corridor of National Highway(NH^(-1)54 A) in Himachal Pradesh, India. A numeral landslide triggering geoenvironmental factors i.e. slope, aspect, relative relief, soil, curvature, land use and land cover(LULC), lithology, drainage density, and lineament density were selected for landslide hazard mapping based on landslide inventory. Landslide hazard zonation map was categorized namely 'very high hazard, high hazard, medium hazard, low hazard, and very low hazard'. The results from these two methods were validated using Area Under Curve(AUC) plots. It is found that hazard zonation map prepared using information value method and analytical hierarchy process methods possess the prediction rate of 78.87% and 75.42%, respectively. Hence, landslide hazardzonation map obtained using information value method is proposed to be more useful for the study area. | 2 | Development and characterization of an atorvastatin solid dispersion formulation using skimmed milk for improved oral bioavailability显示文摘Atorvastatin has low aqueous solubility resulting in low oral bioavailability(12%)and thus presents a challenge in formulating a suitable dosage form.To improve the aqueous solubility,a solid dispersion formulation of atorvasta tin was prepared by lyophilization utilising skimmed milk as a carrier.Six different formulations were prepared with varying ratios of drug and carrier and the corresponding physical mixtures were also prepared.The formation of a solid dispersion formulation was confirmed by differential scanning ca lorimetry and X-ray diffraction studies.The optimum drug-to-carrier ratio of 1:9 en hanced solubility nearly 33-fold as compared to pure drug.In vitro drug release studies exhibited a cumulative release of 83.69% as compared to 22.7% for the pure drug.Additionally,scanning electron microscopy studies suggested the conversion of crystalline atorvastatin to an amorphous form.In a Triton-induced hyperlipidemia model,a 3-fold increase in the lipid lowering potential was obtained with the reformulated drug as compared to pure drug.These results suggest that solid dispersion of atorvastatin using skimmed milk as carrier is a promising approach for oral delivery of atorvastatin. | Ankush Choudhary Avtar C.Rana Geeta Aggarwal Virender Kumar Foziyah Zakir | 2012 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2012,2,4: | 10 |
| 3 | 培养角膜缘上皮移植后穿透性角膜移植术的早期结果显示文摘目的:描述曾行培养角膜缘上皮移植的患者再行穿透性角膜移植(PKP)的早期结果。
方法:对因化学烧伤造成角膜缘干细胞缺乏而行培养的角膜缘上皮移植后又进行穿透性角膜移植术的患者有关人口统计学、原发病因、角膜缘移植类型、眼表稳定性、视力、移植片透明度和并发症方面的资料进行回顾和复习。对受体角膜片组织病理学特征进行研究,重点观察上皮状态。
结果:在患有角膜缘干细胞缺乏而进行培养的角膜缘上皮移植术的125例患者中,15例接受了穿透性角膜移植术(PKP)。角膜缘上皮移植术后(自体移植组n=11,同种异体移植组n=4)平均间隔时间为7个月(范围2—12个月)。同种异体移植组的4例患者均接受了免疫抑制疗法。15只眼中14只眼(93%)获得了含有稳定的角膜上皮的健全的角膜植片。15只眼中14只眼术前最佳矫正视力低于20/200。PKP后平均随访8.3±5.0个月,8只眼最佳矫正视力高于20/60,5只眼最佳矫正视力20/200至20/60。2只眼低于20/200。15只眼中3只眼发生异体角膜植片的排斥反应但被成功治疗。1只眼发生植片排斥的同时发生了青光眼。同种异体角膜缘上皮移植无一例显示排斥表现。

| 19 | Elimination of antibiotic resistance genes and control of horizontal transfer risk by UV-based treatment of drinking water: A mini review显示文摘Antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARB) and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) have been recognized as one of the biggest public health issues of the 21 st century. Both ARB and ARGs have been determined in water after treatment with conventional disinfectants. Ultraviolet (UV) technology has been seen growth in application to disinfect the water. However, UV method alone is not adequate to degrade ARGs in water. Researchers are investigating the combination of UV with other oxidants (chlorine, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), peroxymonosulfate (PMS), and photocatalysts) to harness the high reactivity of produced reactive species (C1-, C1O -, Cl2-,-OH, and SO4-_) in such processes with constituents of cell (e.g., deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and its components) in order to increase the degradation efficiency of ARGs. This paper briefly reviews the current status of different UV-based treatments (UV/chlorination, UV/H2O2, UV/PMS, and UV-photocatalysis) to degrade ARGs and to control horizontal gene transfer (HGT) in water.
