| 1 | Spatiotemporal characteristics of GNSS-derived precipitable water vapor during heavy rainfall events in Guilin,China显示文摘Precipitable Water Vapor(PWV),as an important indicator of atmospheric water vapor,can be derived from Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)observations with the advantages of high precision and all-weather capacity.GNSS-derived PWV with a high spatiotemporal resolution has become an important source of observations in mete-orology,particularly for severe weather conditions,for water vapor is not well sampled in the current meteorological observing systems.In this study,an empirical atmospheric weighted mean temperature(Tm)model for Guilin is estab-lished using the radiosonde data from 2012 to 2017.Then,the observations at 11 GNSS stations in Guilin are used to investigate the spatiotemporal features of GNSS-derived PWV under the heavy rainfalls from June to July 2017.The results show that the new Tm model in Guilin has better performance with the mean bias and Root Mean Square(RMS)of−0.51 and 2.12 K,respectively,compared with other widely used models.Moreover,the GNSS PWV estimates are validated with the data at Guilin radiosonde station.Good agreements are found between GNSS-derived PWV and radiosonde-derived PWV with the mean bias and RMS of−0.9 and 3.53 mm,respectively.Finally,an investigation on the spatiotemporal characteristics of GNSS PWV during heavy rainfalls in Guilin is performed.It is shown that variations of PWV retrieved from GNSS have a direct relationship with the in situ rainfall measurements,and the PWV increases sharply before the arrival of a heavy rainfall and decreases to a stable state after the cease of the rainfall.It also reveals the moisture variation in several regions of Guilin during a heavy rainfall,which is significant for the moni-toring of rainfalls and weather forecast. | Liangke Huang Zhixiang Mo Shaofeng Xie Lilong Liu Chuanli Kang Shitai Wang | 2021 | Satellite Navigation2021,2,1: | 6 |
| 2 | Cloning of two plastid division ftsZ genes from Nicotiana tabacum and their expression in E. coli显示文摘Two cDNAs of plastid division gene NtFtsZ1-1 and NtFtsZ1-2 are isolated from Nicotiana tabacum by RT-PCR and rapid amplification cDNA ends (RACE) method. Analysis of the deduced amino acid sequences encoded by NtFtsZ1-1 and NtFtsZ1-2 indicate that these two proteins possess the typical conservative motifs and GTP binding sites existing in all FtsZ proteins. The existence of putative plastid transit peptide in their N-terminal suggests that there are at least two transit-peptide containing FtsZ proteins in higher plants. Phylogenetic analysis based on amino acid sequences of FtsZ proteins also supports this interference. These two NtFtsZ genes demonstrate a similar expression pattern during the plant development, detected by Northern blot. Expression of NtFtsZ1-1 and NtFtsZ1-2 in E.coli interrupts the normal division process of host cells. | 4 | Effect of interleukin-2 on neurogliocyte and neuron apoptosis in rat models of acute spinal cord injury显示文摘BACKGROUND:Interleukin-2 (IL-2) may influence the growth and survival of nerve cells following spi-nal cord injury and resuscitate the proliferation and maturation of oligodendrocytes. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of IL-2 on neuronal apoptosis of neurogliocytes at different times fol-lowing acute spinal cord injury in rats. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING: A randomized grouping trial based on cellular morphology was per-formed at the Institute of Traumatic Orthopedics of Shandong Province between October 2004 and January 2006. MATERIALS: A total of 72 adult,male,Sprague Dawley rats were included in this study and were divided into a control group and an IL-2 group. The Bcl-2 monoclonal antibody and TUNEL kit were purchased from Wunan Boster Biological Technology Corporation. METHODS: Spinal cord injury was induced in all the rats by dropping a weight from a height of 25 cm onto the exposed spinal cord at vertebral levels T7-11,thus producing a mild lesion. Immediately following the modeling,the rats were injected with daily IL-2 (10 μL) intramuscularly (the IL-2 group). Other rats re-ceived an injection of physiological saline 0.5 mL/d (the control group). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Bcl-2 immunohistochemistry was applied to detect the Bcl-protein and positive cell expression. The TUNEL method was used to count the number of apoptotic cells. RESULTS: The expression level of Bcl-2 proteins increased significantly in spinal cord tissues during the first day after acute spinal cord injury,reaching a peak on days 3 and days 8 in the control and IL-2 groups,respectively. They were more prevalent in neurogliocytes than in neurocytes,and then began to decrease on day 14. From then until day 21,less expression was detected (P < 0.05). In the control group,many apoptotic cells existed after 24 hours,and most of them were gliocytes; apoptotic cells reached a peak after 3-8 days. They then decreased gradually until day 21,when a small number of cells were still available. In the IL-2 group,the number of positive cells was significantly lower than in the control group (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The expression of Bcl-2 and the number of apoptotic cells in neurogliocytes undergo simi-lar changes with time after acute spinal cord injury. Because of the endosymbiotic origin, plastid division might have mechanisms in common with those involved in bacterial cell division.
