1Catch bond-inspired hydrogels with repeatable and loading rate-sensitive specific adhesion显示文摘Biological receptor-ligand adhesion governed by mammalian cells involves a series of mechanochemical pro-cesses that can realize reversible,loading rate-dependent specific interfacial bonding,and even exhibit a counterintuitive behavior called catch bonds that tend to have much longer lifetimes when larger pulling forces are applied.Inspired by these catch bonds,we designed a hydrogen bonding-meditated hydrogel made from acrylic acid-N-acryloyl glycinamide(AA-NAGA)copolymers and tannic acids(TA),which formed repeatable specific adhesion to polar surfaces in an ultra-fast and robust way,but hardly adhered to nonpolar materials.It demonstrated up to five-fold increase in shear adhesive strength and interfacial adhesive toughness with external loading rates varying from 5 to 500 mm min^(-1).With a mechanochemical coupling model based on Monte Carlo simulations,we quantitatively revealed the nonlinear dependence of rate-sensitive interfacial adhesion on external loading,which was in good agreement with the experimental data.Likewise,the developed hydrogels were biocompatible,possessed antioxidant and antibacterial properties and promoted wound healing.This work not only reports a stimuli-responsive hydrogel adhesive suitable for multiple biomedical applications,but also offers an innovative strategy for bionic designs of smart hydrogels with loading rate-sensitive specific adhesion for various emerging areas including flexible electronics and soft robotics.Zuoying Yuan Xiaocen Duan Xing Su Zhuoling Tian Anqi Jiang Zhuo Wan Hao Wang Pengfei Wei Bo Zhao Xiaozhi Liu Jianyong Huang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,3:1
2Monitoring of Avian Influenza Virus and Newcastle Disease Virus in Suichuan Region of Jiangxi Province显示文摘[Objective] The research aimed to investigate the epidemiological characteristics of Avian influenza virus( AIV) and Newcastle disease virus( NDV)of wild Ardeid birds in Suichuan region of Jiangxi Province. [Method] A total of 110 nasopharyngeal swabs and 110 cloacal swabs of Ardeid birds were collected from Suichuan region of Jiangxi Province in October of 2014. The swabs were conducted the virus isolation using SPF chicken embryos,suspected positive samples were screened by hemagglutination( HA) test and identified by Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction( RT-PCR). [Results] HA titre of all 110 test samples was 0 except four samples. Detection on AIV and NDV of the test samples by RT-PCR showed that all the samples were negative,which indicated that the infection risk of avian influenza( AI) and newcastle disease( ND) of Ardeid birds in Suichuan region in Jiangxi Province in the summer of 2014 was low. 3Symmetry-driven half-integer conductance quantization in Cobalt–fulvalene sandwich nanowire显示文摘Precise manipulation and monitoring spin transport in one-dimensional (1D) systems is a long-sought goal in the field of nano-spintronics. Based on first-principles calculations, we report the observation of half-integer conductance quantization in the Cobalt-fulvalene sandwich nanowire. Compared with a pure monatomic Cobalt wire, the introduction of fulvalene molecules leads to threeimportant features: Firstly, the strong coupling between the fulvalene and the Cobalt prevents the contamination of the ambientair, ensuring both chemical and physical stabilities;Secondly, the fulvalene symmetry-selectively filters out most of the d-typeorbitals of the Cobalt while leaving a single d-type orbital to form an open spin channel around the Fermi level, which offers amechanism to achieve the observed half-integer conductance;Thirdly, it maintains a superexchange coupling between adjacent Coatoms to achieve a high Curie temperature.
