1[Zn4O] Cluster-Based Metal-Organic Frameworks as Catalysts for Conversion of CO2显示文摘Summary of main observation and conclusion One unique two-dimensional (2D) Zn-MOF {Na[Zz1.5(μ4-O)(L)]}n (1) was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Four Zn atoms are bridged through μ4-O to form [Zn4O] clusters, which are further linked to form a 2D layer n etwork through shari ng Zn as vertexes. 1 exhibits high thermal stability up to 280 ℃ and keeps stable in comm on solve nts and water solutions with pH ranging from 1 to 13. The catalytic studies reveal that compound 1 exhibits excellent catalytic activity for cycloaddition of CO2 with epoxides into cyclic carb on ates un der mild conditions. Furthermore, 1 dem on strates good gen erality in CO2 coupli ng reactio n with extensive epoxides. 2Intellectual Property Protection and High-quality Development of Cotton Industry in Xinjiang显示文摘This paper firstly introduces the general situation of cotton planting areas in China and cotton industry in Xinjiang,and the current situation of intellectual property protection of Xinjiang's cotton industry.Then,it analyzes the main problems in its intellectual property protection and high-quality development.On this basis,it comes up with the recommendations for high-quality development of cotton industry in Xinjiang under the strategy of strengthening the country with intellectual property.The recommendations include improving the level of creation of creative intellectual property rights,building an intellectual property rule system in the entire cotton industry chain in Xinjiang,building protected zones for production of major high quality agricultural product cotton,establishing a demonstration zone to undertake the transfer of the domestic cotton textile and garment industry,undertaking education on the sense of community for the Chinese nation in response to the Xinjiang cotton incident,and developing the'Belt and Road'blue market for Xinjiang cotton and its products.Miaomiao XU Yueqiu HE Wanzhen XIONG Chengshun SONG Zhiguo SUN 2022Asian Agricultural Research2022,14,6:7
3Cotton Breeding in Xinjiang and Its Intellectual Property Protection显示文摘In 2021,Xinjiang's cotton output was 5.129 million t,accounting for 89.50%of China's total.The autonomous region produces high-quality long-staple cotton,natural colored cotton,fine-staple cotton(upland cotton),organic cotton,etc.The southern Xinjiang cotton area is one of the three major long-staple cotton(island cotton)producing regions in the world.This paper introduced the history of cotton planting and breeding in Xinjiang from the aspects of cultural relics records,history of entering Xinjiang,historical achievements of breeding and breeding leaders.We studied the intellectual property protection of cotton breeding in the autonomous region from the aspects of biological genetic resources,invention patents,utility model patents and new plant varieties,analyzed the six main problems existing in cotton breeding and its intellectual property protection,and discussed the tactics for cotton breeding and its intellectual property protection in Xinjiang under the strategy of strengthening the country with intellectual property.Eight suggestions in response to the Xinjiang cotton incident were also put forward,including establishing a Xinjiang national cotton germplasm nursery,protecting biological genetic resources,and strengthening the protection of creative intellectual property rights in the field of breeding to escort technological innovation in the cotton seed industry.Miaomiao XU Wanzhen XIONG Yueqiu HE Chengshun SONG Zhiguo SUN 2022Agricultural Biotechnology2022,11,4:7

5Bi/Bi2O3 nanoparticles supported on N-doped reduced graphene oxide for highly efficient CO2 electroreduction to formate显示文摘Electrocatalytic CO2 reduction(CO2 ER)into formate is a desirable route to achieve efficient transformation of CO2 to value-added chemicals,however,it still suffers from limited catalytic activity and poor selectivity.Herein,we develop a hybrid electrocatalyst composed of bismuth and bismuth oxide nanoparticles(NPs)supported on nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide(Bi/Bi2 O3/NrGO)nanosheets prepared by a combined hydrothermal with calcination treatment.Thanks to the combination of undercoordinated sites and strong synergistic effect between Bi and Bi2 O3,Bi/Bi2 O3/NrGO-700 hybrid displays a promoted CO2 ER catalytic performance and selectivity for formate production,as featured by a small onset potential of-0.5 V,a high current density of-18 mA/cm2,the maximum Faradaic efficiency of85%at-0.9 V,and a low Tafel slope of 166 mV/dec.Experimental results reveal that the higher CO2 ER performance of Bi/Bi2 O3/NrGO-700 than that of Bi NPs supported on NrGO(Bi/NrGO)can be due to the partial reduction of Bi2 O3 NPs into Bi,which significantly increases undercoordinated active sites on Bi NPs surface,thus boosting its CO2 ER performance.Furthermore,a two-electrode device with Ir/C anode and Bi/Bi2 O3/NrGO-700 cathode could be integrated with two alkaline batteries or a planar solar cell to achieve highly active water splitting and CO2 ER.Junjie Sun Wanzhen Zheng Siliu Lyu Feng He Bin Yang Zhongjian Li Lecheng Lei Yang Hou 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,6:4
6Dynamic analysis of gene expression and determination of chemicals in agarwood in Aquilaria sinensis显示文摘Agarwood is the resinous heartwood of Aquilaria species.However,low yields and high costs of existing stimulation methods have led to the need for new techniques to produce agarwood rapidly and effectively.We developed a biological agarwood-inducing technique(Agar-Bit)that produces high yields and quality within 6 months.To better understand agarwood formation by Agar-Bit,dynamic gene expressions of key synthetases pathways of sesquiterpenes and chalcone-related enzymes at different times were determined after both Agar-Bit and the traditional burning chisel drilling(BCD)stimulation on Aquilaria sinensis trees.The qRT-PCR results show that some characteristic synthase genes were expressed at greatly different levels and times compared with the controls.For the Agar-Bit technology,main changes were after the 3rd or 5th month,while BCD expression clearly changed at the 5th month.Essential oils and total chromone contents were simultaneously determined.In the Agar-Bit group,both were higher and similar to natural levels.The Agar-Bit methodology is a new option for producing agarwood as demonstrated by genetic and chemical aspects.The differences in gene expression within 6 months for both groups indicates that the mechanisms of the two methods are different.These findings provide information on genetic variation during the process of agarwood formation.Zeqing Wu Wanzhen Liu Jing Li Liangwen Yu Li Lin 2020Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,5:3
7One-pot/three-step synthesis of zinc-blende CdSe/CdS core/shell nanocrystals with thick shells显示文摘A one-pot/three-step synthetic scheme was developed for phase-pure epitaxy of CdS shells on zinc-blende CdSe nanocrystals to yield shells with up to sixteen monolayers. The key parameters for the epitaxy were identified, including the core nanocrystal concentration, solvent type/composition, quality of the core nanocrystals, epitaxial growth temperature, type/concentration of ligands, and composition of the precursors. Most of these key parameters were not influential when the synthetic goal was thin-shell CdSe/CdS core/shell nanocrystals. 8High efficient catalytic oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural into 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid under benign conditions with nitrogen-doped graphene encapsulated Cu nanoparticles显示文摘Selective oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfual(HMF) to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA) as a bioplastics monomer is efficiently promoted by a simple system without noble-metal and base additives. In this work, graphene oxide(GO) was first synthesised by an electrochemical method with flexible graphite paper(FGP) as start carbon material, then, nitrogen-doped graphene(NG) layers encapsulated Cu nanoparticles(NPs) was prepared by one-step thermal treatment of GO supported Cu2+ in flowing NH3 atmosphere. Compared with NG supported Cu NPs prepared by the traditional impregnation method, enhanced catalytic activity was achieved over Cu/NG and an FDCA yield of 95.2% was achieved under mild reaction conditions with tert-butylhydroperoxide(t-BuOOH) as the oxidant. Control experiments with different catalysts and different addition procedure of t-BuOOH showed the yield of HMF and various intermediates during reaction. From the changing of intermediates concentrations and reaction rates, a reaction pathway through HMF-DFF-FFCA-FDCA was proposed. 10Research on Determination of Nitrogen Content in Petroleum Using Mid-infrared Spectroscopy显示文摘Nitrogen content is an important parameter for petroleum refining processes. The combined use of mid-infrared attenuated total reflection spectroscopy and multivariate calibration allows accurate determination of nitrogen content in petroleum and its products. The calibration models of nitrogen content in crude oils have been established by partial least squares (PLS) method. The results predicted by this method were very close to those determined by standard methods. 11Theoretical study of the low-lying electronic excited states for molecular aggregates显示文摘We present here a brief summary of a National Natural Science Foundation Major Project entitled 'Theoretical study of the low-lying electronic excited state for molecular aggregates'. The project focuses on theoretical investigation of the electronic structures and dynamic processes upon photo-and electric-excitation for molecules and aggregates. We aim to develop reliable methodology to predict the optoelectronic properties of molecular materials related to the electronic excitations and to apply in the experiments. We identify two essential scientific challenges: (i) nature of intramolecular and intermolecular electronic excited states; (ii) theoretical description of the dynamic processes of the coupled motion of electronic excitations and nucleus. 12Theory and algorithms for the excited states of large molecules and molecular aggregates显示文摘This project aims to attack the frontiers of electronic structure calculations on the excited states of large molecules and molecular aggregates by developing novel theoretical and computational methods. The methodology development is especially based on the time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) and valence bond (VB) theory, and is expected to be computationally effective and accurate as well. Research works on the following related subjects will be performed: (1) The analytical energy-derivative approaches for electronically excited state within TDDFT will be developed to reduce bypass the computational costs in the calculation of molecular excited-state properties. (2) The ab initio methods for electronically excited state based on VB theory and hybrid TDDFT-VB method will be developed to overcome the limitations of current TDDFT in simulating photophysics and photochemistry. (3) For larger aggregates, neither ab initio methods nor TDDFT is applicable. We intend to build the effective model Hamiltonian by developing novel theoretical and computational methods to calculate the involved microscopic physical parameters from the first-principles methods. The constructed effective Hamiltonian is then used to describe the excitonic states and excitonic dynamics of the natural or artificial photosynthesized systems, organic or inorganic photovoltaic cell. (4) The condensed phase environment is taken into account by combining the developed theories and algorithms based on TDDFT and VB with the polarizable continuum solvent models (PCM), molecular mechanism (MM), classical electrodynamics (ED) or molecular dynamics (MD) theory. 13A Universal Principle to Accurately Synthesize Atomically Dispersed Metal–N_4 Sites for CO_2 Electroreduction显示文摘Atomically dispersed metal-nitrogen sites-anchored carbon materials have been developed as effective catalysts for CO2 electroreduction(CO2 ER),but they still suffer from the imprecisely control of type and coordination number of N atoms bonded with central metal.Herein,we develop a family of single metal atom bonded by N atoms anchored on carbons(SAs-M-N-C,M=Fe,Co,Ni,Cu)for CO2 ER,which composed of accurate pyrrole-type M-N4 structures with isolated metal atom coordinated by four pyrrolic N atoms.Benefitting from atomically coordinated environment and specific selectivity of M-N4 centers,SAs-Ni-N-C exhibits superior CO2 ER performance with onset potential of-0.3 V,CO Faradaic efficiency(F.E.) of 98.5%at-0.7 V,along with low Tafel slope of 115 mV dec-1 and superior stability of 50 h,exceeding all the previously reported M-N-C electrocatalysts for CO2-to-CO conversion.Experimental results manifest that the different intrinsic activities of M-N4 structures in SAs-M-N-C result in the corresponding sequence of Ni> Fe> Cu> Co for CO2 ER performance.An integrated Zn-CO2 battery with Zn foil and SAs-Ni-N-C is constructed to simultaneously achieve CO2-to-CO conversion and electric energy output,which delivers a peak power density of 1.4 mW cm-2 and maximum CO F.E.of 93.3%.Wanzhen Zheng Feng Chen Qi Zeng Zhongjian Li Bin Yang Lecheng Lei Qinghua Zhang Feng He Xilin Wu Yang Hou 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,9:2
14A fast synthetic strategy for high-quality atomically thin antimonene with ultrahigh sonication power显示文摘Recent theoretical studies revealed that two-dimensional (2D) antimonene hasattractive characteristics, such as superior photothermal conductivity, absorptionover a wide range, high mobility, and good spintronic properties. Herein, we reporta reliable liquid phase exfoliation (LPE) route for the preparation of high-qualityhigh-stability atomically thin (AT) antimonene via high ultrasonic power. TheAT antimonene delivers a high specific capacity of up to 860 mA.h.g-1, with highrate capability and good cycling stability as an anode of a sodium ion battery(SIB). 16Analytical derivative techniques for TDDFT excited-state properties:Theory and application显示文摘We review our recent work on the methodology development of the excited-state properties for the molecules in vacuum and liquid solution.The general algorithms of analytical energy derivatives for the specific properties such as the first and second geometrical derivatives and IR/Raman intensities are demonstrated in the framework of the time-dependent density functional theory(TDDFT).The performance of the analytical approaches on the calculation of excited-state energy Hessian has also been shown.It is found that the analytical approaches are superior to the finite-difference method on the computational accuracy and efficiency.The computational cost for a TDDFT excited-state Hessian calculation is only 2–3 times as that for the DFT ground-state Hessian calculation.With the low computational complexity of the developed analytical approaches,it becomes feasible to realize the large-scale numerical calculations on the excited-state vibrational frequencies,vibrational spectroscopies and the electronic-structure parameters which enter the spectrum calculations of electronic absorption and emission,and resonance Raman spectroscopies for medium-to large-sized systems.CHEN DanPing LIU Jie MA HuiLi ZENG Qiao LIANG WanZhen 2014Science China Chemistry2014,57,1:1
