2Artemisia pollen-indicated steppe distribution in southern China during the Last Glacial Maximum显示文摘The Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) was the coldest period during the previous 20,000 years. There have been different points of views on steppe distribution during the LGM period in southern China, partly due to the different interpretations of Artemisia occurrences. To make a reliable interpretation of the pollen fossil Artemisia, the modern distribution of Artemisia species and the relationship of pollen with climate and vegetation over a large spatial scale in China was thoroughly analyzed.Information about Artemisia species and pollen distributions used in this paper were collected from published works completed by other researchers as well as ourselves. The southern limit of steppe vegetation during the LGM period was interpreted from the published contour map of Artemisia pollen percentages during the LGM.Artemisia species in China are mostly distributed either in the horizontally distributed steppe regions or in the vertically distributed desert-steppe in the desert region, which indicates a cold and dry climate. The steppe is a distribution center of Artemisia pollen.Fractions of Artemisia in surface pollen assemblages are lower in both the desert and the temperate forest.Neither high Artemisia species cover nor high percentages of Artemisia pollen were found in the coast areas of China.Twenty-five percent of Artemisia pollen in sediments might indicate a local occurrence of steppe vegetation.Percentages of Artemisia pollen in the subtropical and tropical forest are less than 10%.A close relationship between Artemisia pollen and temperate steppe in China is demonstrated. The southern edge of the steppe vegetation during the LGM might be along the middle reach of the Yangtze River. Our results support the hypothesis that the isolated high fraction of Artemisia pollen along the northern edge of the South China Sea was transported from a large source area.Liu Hongyan Liu Kan Wei Fangling 2013Journal of Palaeogeography2013,2,3:0
3The Study of IgG Subclass Profiles of Anti-HBc in Populations with Different Status of HBV Infection显示文摘To study IgG subclasses for the hepatitis B virus (HBV) core antigen (anti-HBc) in different populations, a comparison was made between 104 chronic carriers (60 male and 44 female) and 434 recovered individuals (247 male and 192 female). Biochemistry analyses of AST (aspartate aminotransferase) and ALT (alanine aminotransferase) were also performed. Among the 104 chronic carriers, 21 patients were found to be ALT and AST abnormal (> 25 IU/ml). After comparing these ALT and AST abnormal patients with other ALT and AST normal chronic carriers, no statistical difference was observed in the OD values of the anti-HBe (p > 0.05). The ELISA results showed the anti-HBc IgG subclass pattern was IgG1 > IgG3 > IgG4 in chronic carriers and IgG3 > IgG1 > IgG4 in recovered individuals (p < 0.05). This result suggests the IgG1/IgG3 ratio may be related with HBV status. However, in spite of the different anti-HBc IgG1/IgG3 patterns demonstrated in different populations, both anti-HBc IgG1 and IgG3 concentrations were significantly higher in chronic carriers (p < 0.05). Therefore, both the anti-HBc IgG1/IgG3 ratio and their amounts differed. They may play a significant role in chronic carriers and recovered individuals. The anti-HBc IgG subclass profiles of chronic carriers were not changed regardless of liver inflammation, and were independent of sex and age. 4Influence of Fe on electrocatalytic activity of iron-nitrogendoped carbon materials toward oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘The development of highly active nitrogendoped carbon-based transition metal(M-N-C)compounds for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)in proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs)greatly helps reduce fuel cell cost, thus rapidly promoting their commercial applications.Among different M-N-C electrocatalysts, the series of Fe-N-C materials are highly favored because of their high ORR activity. However, there remains a debate on the effect of Fe,and rare investigations focus on the influence of Fe addition in the second heat treatment usually performed after acid leaching in the catalyst synthesis. It is thus very critical to explore the influences of Fe on the ORR electrocatalytic activity, which will,in turn, guide the design of Fe-N-C materials with enhanced performance.Herein,a series of Fe-N-C electrocatalysts are synthesize and the influence of Fe on the ORR activity are speculated both experimentally and theoretically. It is deduced that the active site lies in the structure of Fe-N4,accompanied with the addition of appropriate Fe,and the number of active sites increases without the occurrence of agglomeration particles. Moreover,it is speculated that Fe plays an important role in stabilizing N as well as constituting active sites in the second pyrolyzing process.Lin LI Cehuang FU Shuiyun SHEN Fangling JIANG Guanghua WEI Junliang ZHANG 2022Frontiers in Energy2022,16,5:0
