| 2 | Nursing Care of the Laryngeal Mask Airway in Pediatric Cataract Surgery显示文摘Purpose:.To investigate the important experience of nursing care of the laryngeal mask airway(LMA) in children undergoing cataract surgery.Methods: Fifty-five children undergoing cataract surgery were anesthetized by inhaling sevoflurane through a LMA and received perioperative nursing care. | 5 | History,progress and future challenges of artificial blood vessels:a narrative review显示文摘Cardiovascular disease serves as the leading cause of death worldwide,with stenosis,occlusion,or severe dysfunction of blood vessels being its pathophysiological mechanism.Vascular replacement is the preferred surgical option for treating obstructed vascular structures.Due to the limited availability of healthy autologous vessels as well as the incidence of postoperative complications,there is an increasing demand for artificial blood vessels.From synthetic to natural,or a mixture of these components,numerous materials have been used to prepare artificial vascular grafts.Although synthetic grafts are more appropriate for use in medium to large-diameter vessels,they fail when replacing small-diameter vessels.Tissue-engineered vascular grafts are very likely to be an ideal alternative to autologous grafts in small-diameter vessels and are worthy of further investigation.However,a multitude of problems remain that must be resolved before they can be used in biomedical applications.Accordingly,this review attempts to describe these problems and provide a discussion of the generation of artificial blood vessels.In addition,we deliberate on current state-of-the-art technologies for creating artificial blood vessels,including advances in materials,fabrication techniques,various methods of surface modification,as well as preclinical and clinical applications.Furthermore,the evaluation of grafts both in vivo and in vitro,mechanical properties,challenges,and directions for further research are also discussed. | Ke Hu Yuxuan Li Zunxiang Ke Hongjun Yang Chanjun Lu Yiqing Li Yi Guo Weici Wang | 2022 | Biomaterials Translational2022,3,1: | 3 |
| 6 | TLR3 Ligand-Induced Accumulation of Activated Splenic Natural Killer Cells into Liver显示文摘It has been revealed that poly Ⅰ:C is a potent stimulator for NK cells, which can induce NK cell rapid activation and preferential accumulation into liver. However, the process mediating the influx of NK cells remains obscure. In this study, we found that poly Ⅰ:C administration increased the portion and absolute number of NK cells in liver,but largely decreased those in spleen. There were no obvious changes of these lymphocytes in other immune organs.The results from splenic adoptive transfer and splenectomy showed that the recruited spleen NK cells contributed to the accumulation of NK cells in liver, and this process was regulated by the production of chemokines and the presence of T cells. | 9 | Proteomic analysis reveals distinctive protein profiles involved in CD8^(+) T cell-mediated murine autoimmune cholangitis显示文摘Autoimmune cholangitis arises from abnormal innate and adaptive immune responses in the liver,and T cells are critical drivers in this process.However,little is known about the regulation of their functional behavior during disease development.We previously reported that mice with T cell-restricted expression of a dominant negative form of transforming growth factor beta receptor type Ⅱ(dnTGFβ RII)spontaneously develop an autoimmune cholangitis that resembles human primary biliary cholangitis(PBC).Adoptive transfer of CD8^(+) but not CD4^(+) T cells into Rag1^(−/−)mice reproduced the disease,demonstrating a critical role for CD8^(+) T cells in PBC pathogenesis.Herein,we used SOMAscan technology to perform proteomic analysis of serum samples from dnTGFβRII and B6 control mice at different ages.In addition,we analyzed CD8 protein profiles after adoptive transfer of splenic CD8^(+) cells into Rag1^(−/−)recipients.The use of the unique SOMAscan aptamer technology revealed critical and distinct profiles of CD8 cells,which are key to biliary mediation.In total,254 proteins were significantly increased while 216 proteins were significantly decreased in recipient hepatic CD8^(+) cells compared to donor splenic CD8^(+) cells.In contrast to donor splenic CD8^(+) cells,recipient hepatic CD8^(+) cells expressed distinct profiles for proteins involved in chemokine signaling,focal adhesion,T cell receptor and natural killer cell-mediated cytotoxicity pathways. | Weici Zhang Ren Zhang Jun Zhang Ying Sun Patrick SC Leung Guo-Xiang Yang Zongwen Shuai William M Ridgway M Eric Gershwin | 2018 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,8: | 3 |

To speed up the comprehensive treatment of rock desertification, several anti-rock desertification modes implemented in Dingtan region, located on the right bank of Huajiang Grand Valley in Beipanjiang Town, are introduced as examples. This paper first analyzes the natural and environmental conditions, the development of rock desertification in the Dingtan region, then the detail of the treatment modes, such as “Chinese wingleaf pricklyash – pig breeding – marsh gas” (Mode One), “amomum villosum – pig breeding – marsh gas” mode (Mode Two), “traditional grain and economic crop (corn, peanut) – amomum villosum or Chinese wingleaf pricklyash” (Mode Three), etc. The eco-economic effects, potential and shortcomings of the above mentioned modes are analyzed and compared. It is proved that Mode One and Mode Two are of good economic effect, but Mode Three of better ecological effect. | 12 | Efficient search of compositional space for hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites via Bayesian optimization显示文摘Accelerated searches,made possible by machine learning techniques,are of growing interest in materials discovery.A suitable case involves the solution processing of components that ultimately form thin films of solar cell materials known as hybrid organic–inorganic perovskites(HOIPs).The number of molecular species that combine in solution to form these films constitutes an overwhelmingly large“compositional”space(at times,exceeding 500,000 possible combinations).Selecting a HOIP with desirable characteristics involves choosing different cations,halides,and solvent blends from a diverse palette of options.An unguided search by experimental investigations or molecular simulations is prohibitively expensive.In this work,we propose a Bayesian optimization method that uses an application-specific kernel to overcome challenges where data is scarce,and in which the search space is given by binary variables indicating whether a constituent is present or not.We demonstrate that the proposed approach identifies HOIPs with the targeted maximum intermolecular binding energy between HOIP salt and solvent at considerably lower cost than previous state-of-the-art Bayesian optimization methodology and at a fraction of the time(less than 10%)needed to complete an exhaustive search.We find an optimal composition within 15±10 iterations in a HOIP compositional space containing 72 combinations,and within 31±9 iterations when considering mixed halides(240 combinations).Exhaustive quantum mechanical simulations of all possible combinations were used to validate the optimal prediction from a Bayesian optimization approach.This paper demonstrates the potential of the Bayesian optimization methodology reported here for new materials discovery. | Henry C.Herbol Weici Hu Peter Frazier Paulette Clancy Matthias Poloczek | 2018 | npj Computational Materials2018,,1: | 2 |

| 18 | Treatment with a JAK1/2 inhibitor ameliorates murine autoimmune cholangitis induced by IFN overexpression显示文摘The interferon(IFN)signaling pathways are major immunological checkpoints with clinical significance in the pathogenesis of autoimmunity.We have generated a unique murine model named ARE-Del,with chronic overexpression of IFNγ,by altering IFNγmetabolism.Importantly,these mice develop an immunologic and clinical profile similar to patients with primary biliary cholangitis,including high titers of autoantibodies and portal inflammation.We hypothesized that the downregulation of IFN signaling pathways with a JAK1/2 inhibitor would inhibit the development and progression of cholangitis.To study this hypothesis,ARE-Del^(+/−)mice were treated with the JAK1/2 inhibitor ruxolitinib and serially studied.JAK inhibition resulted in a significant reduction in portal inflammation and bile duct damage,associated with a significant reduction in splenic and hepatic CD4^(+)T cells and CD8^(+)T cells.Functionally,ruxolitinib inhibited the secretion of the proinflammatory cytokines IFNγand TNF from splenic CD4^(+)T cells.Additionally,ruxolitinib treatment also decreased the frequencies of germinal center B(GC B)cells and T follicular helper(Tfh)cells and led to lower serological AMA levels.Of note,liver and peritoneal macrophages were sharply decreased and polarized from M1 to M2 with a higher level of IRF4 expression after ruxolitinib treatment.Mechanistically,ruxolitinib inhibited the secretion of IL-6,TNF and MCP1 and the expression of STAT1 but promoted the expression of STAT6 in macrophages in vitro,indicating that M1 macrophage polarization to M2 occurred through activation of the STAT6-IRF4 pathway.Our data highlight the significance,both immunologically and clinically,of the JAK/STAT signaling pathway in autoimmune cholangitis. | Tihong Shao Patrick S.C.Leung Weici Zhang Koichi Tsuneyama William M.Ridgway Howard A.Young Zongwen Shuai Aftab A.Ansari M.Eric Gershwi | 2022 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,10: | 1 |
