| 1 | The chromosome-level reference genome assembly for Panax notoginseng and insights into ginsenoside biosynthesis显示文摘Panax notoginseng,a perennial herb of the genus Panax in the family Araliaceae,has played an important role in clinical treatment in China for thousands of years because of its extensive pharmacological effects.Here,we report a high-quality reference genome of P.notoginseng,with a genome size up to 2.66 Gb and a contig N50 of 1.12 Mb,produced with third-generation PacBio sequencing technology.This is the first chromosome-level genome assembly for the genus Panax.Through genome evolution analysis,we explored phylogenetic and whole-genome duplication events and examined their impact on saponin biosynthesis.We performed a detailed transcriptional analysis of P.notoginseng and explored genelevel mechanisms that regulate the formation of characteristic tubercles.Next,we studied the biosynthesis and regulation of saponins at temporal and spatial levels.We combined multi-omics data to identify genes that encode key enzymes in the P.notoginseng terpenoid biosynthetic pathway.Finally,we identified five glycosyltransferase genes whose products catalyzed the formation of different ginsenosides in P.notoginseng.The genetic information obtained in this study provides a resource for further exploration of the growth characteristics,cultivation,breeding,and saponin biosynthesis of P.notoginseng. | Zhouqian Jiang Lichan Tu Weifei Yang Yifeng Zhang Tianyuan Hu Baowei Ma Yun Lu Xiuming Cui Jie Gao Xiaoyi Wu Yuru Tong Jiawei Zhou Yadi Song Yuan Liu Nan Liu Luqi Huang Wei Gao | 2021 | Plant Communications2021,2,1: | 11 |
| 2 | A high-quality reference genome of wild Cannabis sativa显示文摘Cannabis sativa is a well-known plant species that has great economic and ecological significance.An incomplete genome of cloned C.sativa was obtained by using SOAPdenovo software in 2011.To further explore the utilization of this plant resource,we generated an updated draft genome sequence for wild-type varieties of C.sativa in China using PacBio single-molecule sequencing and Hi-C technology.Our assembled genome is approximately 808 Mb,with scaffold and contig N50 sizes of 83.00 Mb and 513.57 kb,respectively.Repetitive elements account for 74.75%of the genome.A total of 38,828 protein-coding genes were annotated,98.20%of which were functionally annotated.We provide the first comprehensive de novo genome of wild-type varieties of C.sativa distributed in Tibet,China.Due to long-term growth in the wild environment,these varieties exhibit higher heterozygosity and contain more genetic information.This genetic resource is of great value for future investigations of cannabinoid metabolic pathways and will aid in promoting the commercial production of C.sativa and the effective utilization of cannabinoids.The assembled genome is also a valuable resource for intensively and effectively investigating the C.sativa genome further in the future. | Shan Gao Baishi Wang Shanshan Xie Xiaoyu Xu Jin Zhang Li Pei Yongyi Yu Weifei Yang Ying Zhang | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 3 |
| 3 | Controllable Hydrothermal Synthesis and Properties of ZnO Hierarchical Micro/Nanostructures显示文摘A simple hydrothermal route has been developed for the fabricating Zn O hierarchical micro/nanostructure with excellent reproducibility. SEM and TEM analysis show that the hierarchical rod is a single-crystal, suggesting that many single-crystal micro/nanorods are assembled into Zn O hierarchical micro/nanostructures. The morphologies of the hierarchical rods can be conveniently tailored by changing the reaction parameters. And we also found citric acid plays a crucial role in the formation process of Zn O micro/nanostructures. | 13 | Recent progress on microfluidic biosensors for rapid detection of pathogenic bacteria显示文摘Rapid on-site detection of pathogenic bacteria with high sensitivity and specificity is becoming an urgent need in public health assurance, medical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, and food safety fields. Despite being reliable and widely used, the existing methods of bacteria detection are cumbersome and time-consuming, which is not conducive to field detection. Microfluidic lab-on-a-chip technology has provided a detective tool for various analytes, due to its miniaturization, portability and low reagent consumption. Within this progress report, advances in the bacteria detection using microfluidic biosensors were discussed. Typical methods for pathogenic bacteria capture, separation and detection were introduced respectively in the first part. Then key applications of microfluidic biosensor-based rapid bacteria detection were presented. | 15 | MEM-TET: Improved Triplet Network for Intrusion Detection System显示文摘With the advancement of network communication technology,network traffic shows explosive growth.Consequently,network attacks occur frequently.Network intrusion detection systems are still the primary means of detecting attacks.However,two challenges continue to stymie the development of a viable network intrusion detection system:imbalanced training data and new undiscovered attacks.Therefore,this study proposes a unique deep learning-based intrusion detection method.We use two independent in-memory autoencoders trained on regular network traffic and attacks to capture the dynamic relationship between traffic features in the presence of unbalanced training data.Then the original data is fed into the triplet network by forming a triplet with the data reconstructed from the two encoders to train.Finally,the distance relationship between the triples determines whether the traffic is an attack.In addition,to improve the accuracy of detecting unknown attacks,this research proposes an improved triplet loss function that is used to pull the distances of the same class closer while pushing the distances belonging to different classes farther in the learned feature space.The proposed approach’s effectiveness,stability,and significance are evaluated against advanced models on the Android Adware and General Malware Dataset(AAGM17),Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining Cup 1999(KDDCUP99),Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity Group’s Intrusion Detection Evaluation Dataset(CICIDS2017),UNSW-NB15,Network Security Lab-Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining(NSL-KDD)datasets.The achieved results confirmed the superiority of the proposed method for the task of network intrusion detection. | Weifei Wang Jinguo Li Na Zhao Min Liu | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,7: | 1 |

The formation of hole-shell structures is attributed to the diffusion of solvent out of droplets into butanol at the interface between oil and extract phase.
