| 1 | Removal of benzotriazole by heterogeneous photoelectro-Fenton like process using ZnFe_2O_4 nanoparticles as catalyst显示文摘ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles(ZFNPs) were developed as catalyst for the degradation of benzotriazole(BTA) by heterogeneous photoelectroFenton(PE-Fenton) like process.ZFNPs were prepared by a co-precipitation process and then characterized with transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray fluorescence(XRF),X-ray diffraction(XRD) and BET surface area.Using such ZFNPs as catalyst,the degradation of BTA was investigated.Due to the high catalytic activity of ZFNPs,PE-Fenton like process showed efficient degradation of BTA.The influencing factors such as pH,dosage of ZFNPs,applied potential and initial concentration of BTA were systematically investigated.Under the optimum conditions,91.2% of BTA was removed after 180 min treatment. | Junfeng Wu Wenhong Pu Changzhu Yang Man Zhang Jingdong Zhang | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,4: | 5 |
| 2 | Estimating abundance and density of Amur tigers along the Sino- Russian border显示文摘As an apex predator the Amur tiger(Panthera tigris altaica)could play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of forest ecosystems in Northeast Asia.Due to habitat loss and harvest over the past century,tigers rapidly declined in China and are now restricted to the Russian Far East and bordering habitat in nearby China.To facilitate restoration of the tiger in its historical range,reliable estimates of population size are essential to assess effectiveness of conservation interventions.Here we used camera trap data collected in Hunchun National Nature Reserve from April to June 2013 and 2014 to estimate tiger density and abundance using both maximum likelihood and Bayesian spatially explicit capture-recapture(SECR)methods.A minimum of 8 individuals were detected in both sample periods and the documentation of marking behavior and reproduction suggests the presence of a resident population.Using Bayesian SECR modeling within the 11400 km2 state space,density estimates were 0.33 and 0.40 individuals/100 km^(2) in 2013 and 2014,respectively,corresponding to an estimated abundance of 38 and 45 animals for this transboundary Sino-Russian population.In a maximum likelihood framework,we estimated densities of 0.30 and 0.24 individuals/100 km^(2) corresponding to abundances of 34 and 27,in 2013 and 2014,respectively.These density estimates are comparable to other published estimates for resident Amur tiger populations in the Russian Far East.This study reveals promising signs of tiger recovery in Northeast China,and demonstrates the importance of connectivity between the Russian and Chinese populations for recovering tigers in Northeast China. | Wenhong XIAO Limin FENG Pu MOU Dale GMIQUELLE Mark HEBBLEWHITE Joshua FGOLDBERG Hugh SROBINSON Xiaodan ZHAO Bo ZHOU Tianming WANG Jianping GE | 2016 | Integrative Zoology2016,11,4: | 4 |

| 15 | Climate change filtered out resource-acquisitive plants in a temperate grassland in Inner Mongolia,China显示文摘Global climate change has led to the decline of species and functional diversity in ecosystems,changing community composition and ecosystem functions.However,we still know little about how species with different resource-use strategies(different types of resource usage and plant growth of plants as indicated by the spectrum of plant economic traits,including acquisitive resource-use strategy and conservative resource-use strategy)would change in response to climate change,and how the changes in the diversity of species with different resource-use strategies may influence community-level productivity.Here,using long-term(1982–2017)observatory data in a temperate grassland in Inner Mongolia,we investigated how climate change had affected the species richness(SR)and functional richness(FRic)for the whole community and for species with different resource-use strategies.Specifically,based on data for four traits representing leaf economics spectrum(leaf carbon concentration,leaf nitrogen concentration,leaf phosphorus concentration,and specific leaf area),we divided 81 plant species appearing in the grassland community into three plant functional types representing resource-acquisitive,medium,and resource-conservative species.We then analyzed the changes in community-level productivity in response to the decline of SR and FRic at the community level and for different resource-use strategies.We found that community-level SR and FRic decreased with drying climate,which was largely driven by the decline of diversity for resource-acquisitive species.However,community-level productivity remained stable because resource-conservative species dominating this grassland were barely affected by climate change.Our study revealed distinctive responses of species with different resource-use strategies to climate change and provided a new approach based on species functional traits for predicting the magnitude and direction of climate change effects on ecosystem functions. | Heying Jing Xingshuo Xiong Feng Jiang Xucai Pu Wenhong Ma Daijiang Li Zhongling Liu Zhiheng Wang | 2024 | Science China(Life Sciences)2024,67,2: | 0 |
| 16 | Immobilization of Hemoglobin on Platinum Nanoparticles-Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode for H_2O_2 Sensing显示文摘This work described an amperometric hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) biosensor based on immobilization of hemoglobin (Hb) on a glassy carbon (GC) electrode modified by platinum nanoparticles, which was prepared by an in situ chemical reductive growth method. The electrochemical impedance measurements confirmed that the Hb was immobilized on the platinum nanoparticles-modified glassy carbon surface and has a synergistic effect with platinum nanoparti-cles in improving the catalytic reduction of H2O2. The Hb immobilized platinum nanoparticles-modified GC (Hb/Pt/GC) electrode displays an effective catalytic response to the reduction of H2O2.
