| 3 | Thick Miocene eolian deposits on the Huajialing Mountains:The geomorphic evolution of the western Loess Plateau显示文摘The geomorphic evolution of northwestern China during the Cenozoic has been a subject of much geological interest because of its link with the uplift of the Himalayan-Tibetan complex.Much information about these changes is recoverable from the sedimentary sequences of the region.We report here on the thick eolian deposits mantling the Huajialing Mountains,a relatively flat mountain range in the western Loess Plateau.Correlation of magnetic susceptibility stratigraphy with the QA-I Miocene eolian sequence dates a 134.7 m section(NL-VII) for the interval from 18.7 to 11.8 Ma,as confirmed by micro-mammalian fossils.These eolian deposits demonstrate a much wider distribution of the Miocene eolian deposits,and also indicate that the topography contrasts in the western Loess Plateau,including the uplifts of the Huajialing Mountains and the bedrock highlands in the Qinan region,were formed by the early Miocene.The near-continuous Miocene eolian sequence from 18.7 to 11.8 Ma indicates that the substratum of Huajialing had not experienced any intense tectonic changes during this time interval,which suggests further,the relative tectonic stability of the nearby Tibetan Plateau. | ZHAN Tao GUO ZhengTang WU HaiBin GE JunYi ZHOU Xin WU ChunLin ZENG FangMing | 2011 | Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,2: | 7 |
| 4 | Robust Optimization of Municipal Solid Waste Collection and Transportation with Uncertain Waste Output: A Case Study显示文摘Garbage collection is an important issue in urban environmental management.With the increased awareness of urban residents regarding safety,environmental protection,and health in recent years,it is necessary to logically organize municipal solid waste collection and transportation routes while also considering economic and social benefits.This article focuses on the optimization of the waste transportation routes of garbage trucks.With the objective of minimizing transportation costs and maximizing resident satisfaction,we establish a robust optimization model for the multi-trip collection and transportation of municipal solid waste in an uncertain environment.Resident satisfaction is defined as the penalty cost against a time window constraint.The Bertsimas robust optimization method is applied to characterize the uncertainty,and the decision-making scheme of the receiving route is used to adapt to waste volume changes.We conduct a case study based on real-world data for municipal solid waste collection and transportation in the Dongcheng District of Beijing,China.The solution is validated using the CPLEX program,and the validity of the model is verified.In addition,a sensitivity analysis of related parameters is conducted to study the impacts of variations in work hour limits and time windows on the total cost and service levels,as well as their relationships with the level of robustness.This could help decision-makers make reasonable choices based on actual conditions and to balance reductions in total cost with service level improvements. | Sicheng Zhang Jianwen Zhang Zhiwei Zhao Chunlin Xin | 2022 | Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering2022,31,2: | 4 |
| 5 | Simultaneous estimation of surface soil moisture and soil properties with a dual ensemble Kalman smoother显示文摘In this paper, a new state-parameter estimation approach is presented based on the dual ensemble Kalman smoother(DEn KS) and simple biosphere model(Si B2) to sequentially estimate both the soil properties and soil moisture profile by assimilating surface soil moisture observations. The Arou observation station, located in the upper reaches of the Heihe River in northwestern China, was selected to test the proposed method. Three numeric experiments were designed and performed to analyze the influence of uncertainties in model parameters, atmospheric forcing, and the model's physical mechanics on soil moisture estimates. Several assimilation schemes based on the ensemble Kalman filter(En KF), ensemble Kalman smoother(En KS), and dual En KF(DEn KF) were also compared in this study. The results demonstrate that soil moisture and soil properties can be simultaneously estimated by state-parameter estimation methods, which can provide more accurate estimation of soil moisture than traditional filter methods such as En KF and En KS. The estimation accuracy of the model parameters decreased with increasing error sources. DEn KS outperformed DEn KF in estimating soil moisture in most cases, especially where few observations were available. | 9 | Ligand-based substituent-anchoring design of selective receptor-interacting protein kinase 1 necroptosis inhibitors for ulcerative colitis therapy显示文摘Receptor-interacting protein(RIP)kinase 1 is involved in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases including ulcerative colitis(UC)by regulating necroptosis and inflammation.Our group previously identified TAK-632(5)as an effective necroptosis inhibitor by dual-targeting RIP1 and RIP3.In this study,using ligand-based substituent-anchoring design strategy,we focused on the benzothiazole ring to obtain a series of TAK-632 analogues showing significantly improving on the anti-necroptosis activity and RIP1 selectivity over RIP3.Among them,a conformational constrained fluorine-substituted derivative(25)exhibited 333-fold selectivity for RIP1(K_(d)= 15 nmol/L)than RIP3(K_(d)>5000 nmol/L).This compound showed highly potent activity against cell necroptosis(EC_(50)=8 nmol/L)and systemic inflammatory response syndrome(SIRS)induced by TNF-α in vivo.Especially,it was able to exhibit remarkable anti-inflammatory treatment efficacy in a DSS-induced mouse model of UC.Taken together,the highly potent,selective,orally active anti-necroptosis inhibitor represents promising candidate for clinical treatment of UC. | Jing Zhu Meng Xin Congcong Xu Yuan He Wannian Zhang Zhibin Wang Chunlin Zhuang | 2021 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,10: | 1 |

This paper aims to address the question whether the uniform pricing strategy may be better for the manufacturer, when the uniform pricing strategy has a positive impact on increasing the ciistomer demand and reducing the operations cost. The research shows that the uniform pricing strategy can be bet ter than the price differentiation strategy when the cost saving and demand increasing are large enough or the consumers' acceptance of online channel lies in a certain interval. Moreover, the manufac tu rers or brand owners need a tradeoff bet ween the benefit from online channel and the negative impact from the offline channel when they implement the price differentiation strategy. | 20 | Supply Chain Engineering in China's Retailing Industry: A Case of Meiyijia显示文摘This paper addresses the supply chain engineering and its application in China's retailing industry. Based on the approaches of systems engineering, we propose the concept of supply chain engineering, which applies the idea of supply chain management to the engineering practices through the advanced information and management technology, to integrate the supply chain system and optimize its operations. We then illustrate the application of the supply chain engineering in China's retailing industry. In such practices, we developed the virtual retailing enterprise mode and the FROM-SCM system, and designed the sales assistant etc. Such theory and practices are successfully applied in Meiyijia, which has transformed Meiyijia from a traditional retailer to a modern service enterprise, and the profits are resulted from the service fees rather than the traditional surplus between buying and selling prices. Now Meiyijia has built an ecosystem with the retailer in the core, the headquarter as the service platform.
