| 2 | Relationship among Photosys-tem Ⅱ carbonic anhydrase,extrinsic polypeptides and manganese cluster显示文摘Effects of Photosystem Ⅱ (PS Ⅱ) extrinsic polypeptides of oxygen-evolving complex and manganese clusters on PS Ⅱ carbonic anhydrase (CA) were studied with spinach PS Ⅱ membranes. The result supported that membrane-bound CA is located in the donor side of PS Ⅱ. The extrinsic polypeptides played an important role of maintaining CA activity. After removing manganese clusters, oxygen evolution activity was inhibited, but PSⅡ-CA activity was unchanged. | 3 | Acquirement and characterization of a carotenoid mutant (GM309) of Rhodobacter sphaeroides 601显示文摘A green mutant was obtained among the chemically induced mutants of Rhodobacter sphaeroides 601 (RS601) and named GM309. A blue shift of 20 nm of the carotenoid absorption spectrum was found in the light-harvesting complex II (LH2) of GM309. Different from LH2 of RS601, it was found that the carotenoids in GM309-LH2 changed to be neurosporene by mutation. Neurosporene lacks a conjugate double bond, compared with the spheroidene in RS601-LH2 which has ten conjugate double bonds. As shown by absorption and circular dichroism spectroscopy, the overall structure of GM309-LH2 is little affected by this change. From fluorescence emission spectra, it is found that GM309-LH2 can transfer energy from carotenoids to Bchl-B850 without any change in efficiency. But the efficiency of energy transfer from B800 to B850 in GM309-LH2 is decreased to be 42% of that of the native. | 4 | Influence of different illuminations with xenon or microwave sulfur lamp on jointing and tillering of wheat显示文摘The emission of microwave sulfur lamp is mainly composed of visible light. The sulfur lamp, producing little infrared radiation, has high efficiency, long duration of illumination and less energy consumption. In order to probe the agricultural application of the lamp, experiments were carried out with wheat (cv. Yangmai 158) to emphatically study illuminating effects of xenon or sulfur lamp on tillering, jointing and net photosynthetic rate during tillering and jointing periods. Results indicated that there is almost no difference in net photosynthetic rate of wheat leaves growing under different lamps. Xenon lamp significantly advanced the time of jointing, decreased number of tillers, number of total leaves per plant and leaf size, as well as inhibited root growth. | 6 | The theory of compression–shear coupled composite wave propagation in rock显示文摘The wave velocity analysis of rock medium is the main method used to explore the internal compositions in the crust and research seismic.In this paper,a compression–shear coupled nonlinear elastic constitutive relation is established,which is consistent with the mechanical properties of rock and mineral medium under high pressure.On this basis,numerical solutions of the wave equation and plane wave analytical solutions for the primary and secondary wave velocities are obtained.As is indicated by the comparison with the linear elastic constitutive theory,the results reflect the compression–shear coupling characteristics of the rock,including the stress path effect and the compression–shear coupling wave effect.With different parameter values,the velocity of the secondary wave changes from lower than that of the elastic shear wave,to higher than that of the elastic shear wave.The research results are expected to provide meaningful explanations for the physical mechanisms of the supershear wave and sub-Rayleigh wave,and guidance for the detection of rock and soil composition and the observation of seismic waves. | Jianhua Lu Songlin Xu Chunhe Miao Yushan Xie Liangzhu Yuan Hao Ma Meiduo Chen Pengfei Wang | 2022 | Deep Underground Science and Engineering2022,1,1: | 1 |

| 8 | Excited-state dynamics in light-harvesting complex of Rhodobacter sphaeroides显示文摘Photodynamics of peripheral antenna complexes,light-harvesting complex (LH2) of Rhodobacter (Rb) Sphaeroides 601,was studied using femtosecond pump-probe technique at different laser wavelengths. The obtained results reveal dramatic dynamical evolutions within B800 and B850 absorption bands of antenna complexes LH2. At excitation wavelength around 835 nm,a sharp photobleaching signal was observed which was assigned to the contribution of the two-exciton state,which was further confirmed by the power dependence measurement. Rate equations with eight-level scheme were used to calculate the population evolution in LH2 and the transient dynamics under femtosecond pulse excitation. | 11 | Effect of Mn cluster on the formation of superoxide radicals in photoinhibition of photosystem Ⅱ显示文摘To further realize the action of superoxide radicals (O2 ) in photoinhibition of photosystem II (PS II), we employed 5,5-dimethyl-l-pyrroline-N-oxide (DMPO) as a spin trap, associated with EPK spectroscopy, to study theeffect of illumination time on O2- formation during highlight photoinhibition in PS II membranes and Mn-depleted PS II membranes. Results indicated that the removal of Mn cluster from PS II membranes has a strong influence on the dynamics of superoxide formation. The relative mechanismwas also discussed.
