Relationships between bacterial-algal proliferating and mass extinction in the Late Devonian Frasnian-Famennian transition:Enlightening from carbon isotopes and molecular fossils显示文摘Studies show positive shifts of inorganic and organic carbon isotope values (δ 13Ccarb and δ 13Ckerogen) from +0.43 (‰ V-PDB) to +3.54 (‰ V-PDB) and from ?29.38 (‰ V-PDB) to ?24.14 (‰ V-PDB), respectively, B* (Ba* = Ba/ (Al2O3 X 15%)) values from 0.015 to 0.144, TOC values from 0.02% to 0.21%, V/Cr values from 0.3 to 2.0, Sr/Ba values from 3.20 to 49.50 in the Late Devonian Frasnian Upper rhenana zone to the top linguiformis zone of the Yangdi sec-tion deposited in carbonate slope facies of Guilin, Guangxi, South China, which indicates that biomass, productivity, organic carbon burial and salinity increase and that oxygenation near the boundary between sediments and waters decreases from the Late Devonian Frasnian Upper rhenana zone to the top linguiformis zone. Abundance of molecular fossils increases and normal alkanes, isoprenoid hydrocarbon, terpanes and steranes are dominated from the Late Devonian Frasnian to the bottom of Famennian, which shows that the predecessors of molecular fossils of the Frasnian-Famennian (F-F) transition are dominated by marine phytoplankton, zooplankton and benthic bacteria with no photosynthesis. Therefore, it is considered that the F-F transitional mass extinction with a multistage, selection and global synchronizing was caused by bacte-rial-algal proliferating, continuing deterioration of the shallow marine ecoenvironment of the mid-dle-lower latitudes. A simple cause and effect chain can be expressed as: appearance of seed plants and multi-storied forests → enhanced chemical and biochemical weathering and pe-dogenesis → wide development of soils → increasing riverine nutrient fluxes in epicontinental sea → from superoligotrophic to eutrophic in epicontinental sea → proliferating of marine phyto-plankton and zooplankton → frequent red tide and anoxia → mass extinction of shallow marine organisms in the middle-lower latitudes. It is worth notice that the factor drawdown of atmos-pheric Pco2, climatic cooling and sea level falling caused by eutrophication, anoxia and organic carbon burial increasing may be important for the mass extinction. | GONG Yiming1,2, XU Ran1, TANG Zhongdao1, SI Yuanlan3 & LI Baohua4 1. | 2 | Heat shock induction of a 65 kDa ATP-binding proteinase in rat C6 glioma cells显示文摘The 45, 55, 65 and 100 kDa ATP-binding proteinases (ATP-BPases) of the heat-shocked (44 ℃ for 30 min, recovery for 12h) rat C6 glioma cells were purified by DEAE-ionexchange and ATP-affinity chromatography. Their molecular masses, isoelectric points (pI), pH-optima and other properties were analyzed by native proteinase gels.It was shown that the 65 kDa ATP-BPase is specifically induced by heat shock and not detectable in control cells. Its N-terminal 1-9 amino acid sequence was determined by Edman degradation, but no homologies to other proteins in the protein data bases were found. 30 and 31 kDa proteinases can be cleaved from the 45, 55 and 65 kDa proteinases to which they are linked. A possible relationship of the heat-induced 65 kDa ATP-BPase with the ATP-dependent proteinases (ATP-DPases) in prokaryotes and eukaryotes is discussed. | XU CUN SHUAN WEI MING ZHANG DIETER TECHEL MARCO MEYER YAN ZHANG LI LUDGER RENSING (Department of Biology, Henan Normal University,Xinxiang 453002)(Institute of Cell Biology, Bremen University, D-28359 Bremen, Germany) | 1999 | Cell Research1999,9,2: | 8
Complex sources of air-soil-water pollution processes in the Miyun reservoir region显示文摘The comprehensive impact of atmospheric dry deposition and wet deposition and the pollution sources of farmlands, mining areas, and towns along the Baihe River on the water quality of Miyun reservoir is investigated from the angle of the complex sources of air-soil-water pollution processes, in the context of the 1990-2001 precipitation chemical data at Shangdianzi station--a WMO regional background air pollution monitoring station 15 km far from the Miyun reservoir, in conjunction with the atmospheric dry deposition and wet deposition data of the 2002-2003 Beijing City Air Pollution Observation Field Experiment (BECAPEX). Analysis results suggest that the major ions in precipitation in the Miyun reservoir region in this period were SO, NO, NH and Ca2+; wet acid deposition quantity of Miyun reservoir in the summer half year (April to September) was greater than the quantity in the winter half year (October to March), and the annual wet acid deposition in the reservoir exhibited a rising trend with the mean 1038.45 t, the maximum 1766.31 t occurred in 1996, and the minimum 604.02 t in 1994; the long-term averaged pH of atmospheric precipitation in the Miyun reservoir region was 5.20, i.e. weakly acidic, and the interannual variation of pH values displayed a falling trend. pH values of water body at various depths in the Miyun reservoir were all greater than 7.0, but they exhibited vertical and horizontal nonhomogeneity, and at the same region pH decreased vertically with depth; the 2002 and 2003 annual dustfalls in the Miyun reservoir were 13513.08 t and 3577.64 t, respectively, and the spring dustfall was the number one in a year, accounting for the 61.91% and 44.56% of the annual totals of 2002 and 2003, respectively. Because the atmospheric dry deposition and wet depositions contain multiple types heavy metal elements and harmful elements, they to some extent exacerbated the eutrophication, acidification and potential heavy metal pollution of the reservoir water. The above comprehensive analysis results reveal the complex source characters of the air-soil-water pollution process and the multi-sphere interaction effect. Besides, summer (rainy season) is a season when local soil pollutants enter the water system of reservoir after being washed out by torrential rain or heavy precipitation, which starts the air-soil- water chaining pollution processes, and results in the water pollution of rivers and reservoirs. It is found from the statistical analysis in this paper that the water pollution of Miyun reservoir was correlated with the rain wash-out and confluent flow in the peripheral and upstream local region of the reservoir, and the pollutant concentration of the reservoir water was significantly correlated with the upstream local region precipitation. Those correlation characters reveal the effect of the air-soil-water multi-spheric interaction of reservoir water pollution process. This paper presents the point of view of the complex source analysis of reservoir water pollution and a technical approach for tracing the spatial distribution of the upstream pollution source of the water systems of reservoir. | YANG Dongzhen, XU Xiangde, LIU Xiaoduan, XU Qing, DING Guoan, CHENG Xinghong, CHEN Huailiang, ZHOU Huaigang, WANG Zhenfa, WANG Wenyan Key Laboratory of Atmospheric Chemistry, Center for Atmosphere Watch and Services, Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences, CMA, Beijing 100081, China Key Laboratory of Meteorological Disasters, CAMS, Beijing 100081, China National Center for Geological Testing, Beijing 100037, China Meteorological Bureau of Henan Province, Zhenzhou 450000, China Shangdianzi Background Atmospheric Pollution Observation Station, Miyun County, Beijing 101507, China | 2005 | Science China Earth Sciences2005,48,z2: | 4
Hollow cobalt oxide nanoparticles embedded in nitrogen-doped carbon nanosheets as an efficient bifunctional catalyst for Zn–air battery显示文摘Rational design of low-cost, highly electrocatalytic activity, and stable bifunctional electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction(OER) has been a great significant for metal–air batteries. Herein, an efficient bifunctional electrocatalyst based on hollow cobalt oxide nanoparticles embedded in nitrogen-doped carbon nanosheets(Co/N-Pg) is fabricated for Zn–air batteries. A lowcost biomass peach gum, consisting of carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen without other heteroatoms, was used as carbon source to form carbon matrix hosting hollow cobalt oxide nanoparticles. Meanwhile, the melamine was applied as nitrogen source and template precursor, which can convert to carbon-based template graphitic carbon nitride by polycondensation process. Owing to the unique structure and synergistic effect between hollow cobalt oxide nanoparticles and Co-N-C species, the proposal Co/N-Pg catalyst displays not only prominent bifunctional electrocatalytic activities for ORR and OER, but also excellent durability. Remarkably, the assembled Zn–air battery with Co/N-Pg air electrode exhibited a low discharge-charge voltage gap(0.81 V at 50 mA cm^-2) and high peak power density(119 mW cm^-2) with long-term cycling stability. This work presents an effective approach for engineering transition metal oxides and nitrogen modified carbon nanosheets to boost the performance of bifunctional electrocatalysts for Zn–air battery. | Yuhui Tian Li Xu Jian Bao Junchao Qian Huaneng Su Huaming Li Haidong Gu Cheng Yan Henan Li | 2019 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,6: | 4

Pancreatic secretory trypsin inhibitor:More than a trypsin inhibitor显示文摘Kazal-type serine protease inhibitor is one of the most important and widely distributed protease inhibitor families.Pancreatic secretory trypsin inhibitor(PSTI),also known as serine protease inhibitor Kazal typeⅠ(SPINK1),binds rapidly to trypsin, inhibits its activity and is likely to protect the pancreas from prematurely activated trypsinogen. Therefore,it is an important factor in the onset of pancreatitis.Recent studies found that PSTI/SPINK1 is also involved in self-regulation of acinar cell phagocytosis, proliferation and growth of a variety of cell lines. In addition,it takes part in the response to inflammatory factor or injury and is highly related to adult type Ⅱ citrullinemia. | Gai-Ping Wang,Cun-Shuan Xu,College of Life Science,Henan Normal University,Xinxiang 453007,Henan Province,China Co-construction Key Laboratory for Cell Differentiation and Regulation,Henan Normal University,Xinxiang 453007,Henan Province,China | 2010 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Pathophysiology2010,1,2: | 2
Engineering Electronic Density and Coordination Environment of Mn–Nx Sites via Zn Cooperation for Quasi-Solid-State Zinc-Air Batteries显示文摘Due to the poor Fenton reactivity,single-atom Mn-based materials are generally identified as one of the most promising active catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Regulating the electronic density and coordination environment of atomically dispersed Mn centers is an effective strategy to enhance ORR activity of Mn-based materials.By introducing Zn sites, atomically dispersed Mn centers with multitudes of coordination(including Zn/Mn–Nx and Mn–Nx moieties)can be constructed to form Mn-based ORR catalyst(Zn/Mn-NC)with dual-atom sites.Around Mn–Nx sites, the Zn atoms can effectively modulate the electronic structure and coordination state of Mn centers in Zn/Mn-NC through d–d orbital coupling. The electronic interaction between Zn and Mn sites improves ORR activity, thereby optimizing the oxygen adsorption energy of Mn sites in Zn/Mn-NC and reducing the overall energy barrier.Zn/Mn-NC displays higher ORR half-wave potential than Pt/C(0.89 V vs 0.86 V).The quasi-solid-state zinc-air battery(ZAB)with Zn/Mn-NC as the cathode displayed excellent rechargeability, recyclability, and mechanical robustness. The strategy presented regulates the electronic density and coordination environment of singleatom Mn-based ORR catalysts in quasi-solid-state ZABs. | Daijie Deng Huixin Ma Suqin Wu Huan Wang Junchao Qian Jianchun Wu Huaming Li Cheng Yan Henan Li Li Xu | 2023 | Renewables2023,1,3: | 2
Study on north boundary of subtropical zone in Funiu Mountain according to soil geochemistry显示文摘The boundary between subtropical zone and temperate zone is not only important in physical geography, but also attractive in agricultural production. Seven soil profiles studied in this paper are placed along the southern slope of Funiu Mountain at different heights above sea level. Many compositions and properties of these soils have been determined in laboratory. In this paper, the laws of migration and accumulation of soil materials on the southern slope of Funiu Mountain are discussed first, then the division of the boundary between subtropical zone and temperate zone in this area according to soil geochemistry is discussed with qualitative methods and mathematical classification method in which twelve selected indexes such as K m , Saf, Ba, β, Feo/Fet, Mno/Mnt and so on are used. The result indicates that the boundary between subtropical zone and temperate zone on the southern slope of Funiu Mountain is about 950 m above sea level. | MA Jianhua,XU Shuming,HAN Jinxian,ZHU Lianqi,ZHAO Qingliang(College of Environment and Planning, Henan University, Kaifeng 475001, China) | 2003 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2003,13,3: | 1
Relationships between the surface quality of a single crystal copper ingot and the process parameters of a heated mould continuous casting method显示文摘The relationships between the surface quality of a single crystal copper ingot and the process parameters of heated mould continuous casting method were studied experimentally using our own design of horizontal heated mould continuous casting apparatus, and the mechanism by which process parameters affect the surface quality of a single crystal copper ingot is analyzed in the present paper. The results show that the process parameters affect the surface quality of a pure copper ingot by affecting the position of the liquid-solid interface in the mould. The position of the liquid-solid interface in the mould must be controlled carefully within an appropriate range, which is determined through a series of experiments, in order to gain a single crystal copper ingot with good surface quality. | G. | 10 | Development of Transition Metal Nitrides as Oxygen and Hydrogen Electrocatalysts显示文摘With the increasing demand for energy, various emerging energy storage/conversion technologies have gradually penetrated human life, providing numerous conveniences. The practical application efficiency is often affected by the slow kinetics of hydrogen or oxygen electrocatalytic reactions(hydrogen evolution and oxidation reactions, oxygen evolution and reduction reactions) among the emerging devices. Therefore, the researchers devote to finding cost-effective electrocatalysts. Non-noble metal catalysts have low cost and good catalytic activity, but poor stability, agglomeration, dissolution, and other problems will occur after a long cycle, such as transition metal oxides and carbides. Transition metal nitrides(TMNs) stand out among all kinds of non-noble metal catalysts because of the intrinsic platinum-like electrocatalytic activities, relatively high conductivity, and wide range of tunability. In this review, the applications of TMNs in electrocatalytic fields are summarized based on the number of metals contained in TMNs. The practical application potentials of TMNs in fuel cell, water splitting, zinc-air battery and other electrochemical energy storage/conversion devices are also listed. Finally, the design strategies and viewpoints of TMNs-based electrocatalyst are summarized. The potential challenges of TMNs-based electrocatalyst in the development of electrocatalytic energy devices in the future are prospected. | Xuesheng Yan Daijie Deng Suqin Wu Henan Li Li Xu | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Structural Chemistry2022,41,7: | 1

Construction and characterization of the transformation-competent artificial chromosome (TAC) libraries of Leymus multicaulis显示文摘Transformation-competent artificial chromosome system is able to clone and transfer genes efficiently in plants. In order to clone genes highly tolerant to barley yellow dwarf virus(BYDV),Aphids, drought and salt from Leymus multicaulis, the two TAC genomic libraries I and II were constructed in vector pYLTAC17 and pYLTAC747H/sacB,which contain about 165000 and 236000 recombinant clones sepa-rately.The genome coverage of the two libraries was totally estimated to be about 3―5 haploid genome equivalents,as size selection of genomic DNA fragments was approximately from 9 to 300 kb.Clones of the genomic libraries were collected as bulked pools each containing 500 clones or so,stored in twelve 96-deep-well plates and then were gridding in triplicate onto a high-density colony hybridization filter with a 3×3 pattern using a GeneTAC?G3 arraying robot after being transferred manually into three 384-well plates.Meanwhile 2501 and 2890 clones of Library in pYLTAC17 and in pYLTAC747H/sacB were stored individually in fourteen 384-well plates and then were automatically gridding in duplicate onto a high-density colony hybridization filter with a 6×6 pattern after a replication of plates.Nineteen positive clones were detected by using the probe glutahione reductase gene of L.multicaulis.TAC libraries constructed here can be used to isolate genomic clones containing target genes, and to carry out genome walking for positional cloning.Once the target TAC clones were isolated, they could be immediately transferred into plant genomes with the Agrobacterium system. | XU YueYu 1,2,3,ZHOU YuLei 4,5 ,SONG LinLin 6 ,ZHANG Yan 3 &ZHAO MaoLin 1 1 Beijing Agro-Biotechnology Research Center,Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Science,Beijing 100097,China 2 Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering,Hunan Institute of Engineering,Xiangtan 411104,China 3 College of Life Science,Capital Normal University,Beijing 100037,China 4 College of Life Science,Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Technology,Guangzhou 510225,China 5 College of Grassland Science,Gansu Agricultural University,Lanzhou 730070,China 6 Department of Biology,Henan Institute of Science and Technology,Xinxiang 453003,China | 2008 | Science China(Life Sciences)2008,51,7: | 1

Ultrafast excitation relaxation in light-harvesting complex LH2 from Rb.sphaeroides 601显示文摘The energy relaxation and kinetic evolution of transient spectra of bacteriochloro- phylls (BChls) in light-harvesting complex LH2 from Rb. sphaeroides 601 were investigated using femtosecond pump-probe technique. Upon 783 nm excitation, the energy at B800 BChls ex-periences an intramolecular redistribution with 0.35 ps time constant before transferring to B850 BChls. With tuning the excitation wavelength, the dynamical evolution of excited BChls was clearly observed, which indicates an obvious competition between the ground state bleaching and excited state absorption (ESA) of BChls involved and an isosbestic point near 818 nm, and also demonstrates that from the lower electronic excited state of B800 BChls to the higher exci-tonic state of B850 BChls is an efficient routine for energy transfer. The excitation energy in higher excitonic states of B850 BChls relaxes rapidly to the next lowest excitonic state by inter-conversion, delocalization to adjacent molecular, populating the lowest excitonic state and the change of molecular conformation. | GUO Lijun1,2, LIU Yuan3, LIU Weimin2, GUO Junhua1, XU Chunhe3 & QIAN Shixiong2 1. | 15 | Electronic structure and spin state regulation of vanadium nitride via a sulfur doping strategy toward flexible zinc-air batteries显示文摘Owing to the distinctive structural characteristics, vanadium nitride(VN)is highly regarded as a catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)in zinc-air batteries(ZABs).However,VN exhibits limited intrinsic ORR activity due to the weak adsorption ability to O-containing species. Here, the S-doped VN anchored on N,S-doped multi-dimensional carbon(S-VN/Co/NS-MC)was constructed using the solvothermal and in-situ doping methods.Incorporating sulfur atoms into VN species alters the electron spin state of vanadium in the S-VN/Co/NS-MC for regulating the adsorption energy of vanadium sites to oxygen molecules. The introduced sulfur atoms polarize the V 3d_(z)^(2) electrons, shifting spin-down electrons closer to the Fermi level in the S-VN/Co/NS-MC.Consequently,the introduction of sulfur atoms into VN species enhances the adsorption energy of vanadium sites for oxygen molecules. The*OOH dissociation transitions from being unspontaneous on the VN surface to a spontaneous state on the S-doped VN surface. Then, the ORR barrier on the S-VN/Co/NS-MC surface is reduced. The S-VN/Co/NS-MC demonstrates a higher half-wave potential and limiting current density compared to the VN/Co/N-MC.The S-VN/Co/NS-MC-based liquid ZABs display a power density of 195.7 m W cm^(-2),a specific capacity of 815.7 m A h g^(-1),and a cycling stability exceeding 250 h.The S-VN/Co/NS-MC-based flexible ZABs are successfully employed to charge both a smart watch and a mobile phone. This approach holds promise for advancing the commercial utilization of VN-based catalysts in ZABs. | Daijie Deng Honghui Zhang Jianchun Wu Xing Tang Min Ling Sihua Dong Li Xu Henan Li Huaming Li | 2024 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,89,2: | 0
Ball-milling Synthesis of Single-atom Cu Anchored on N-Doped Carbon for Mimicking Peroxidase显示文摘Nanozymes have shown great potential for life sciences owing to their distinct advantages, such as low cost and high stability, compared with natural enzymes.Despite significant progress,state-of-art nanozymes commonly suffer from relatively low specific activities.Herein,we propose a promising to address this issue by creating single-atom nanozymes.A ball-milling-assisted strategy has been developed to induce the transformation of Cu species from bulk to single atoms. The highly-simplified steps allow a large-scale synthesis, that over 4.2 g of single-atom Cu-N doped carbon nanozymes can be achieved in one pot.It exhibits a remarkably improved peroxidase-like activity and stability compared with N doped C anchored Cu nanoparticles.Further experimental firmly reveals the crucial role of the single-atom Cu site that can generate more active·OH species for boosting the catalytic process. | XU Henan ZHANG Lingling WANG Huilin ZHANG Shaopeng LI Wei WANG Xiao SONG Shuyan WANG Daguang SHI Zhan | 2023 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2023,39,6: | 0

Endolithic fungi:A possible killer for the mass extinction of Cretaceous dinosaurs显示文摘Mycelium-like structures found under ESEM within radial sections of fragmental dinosaur eggshells would be the endolithic fungi coexistent with dinosaur eggs in the upper part of the Late Cretaceous Hugang Formation from the Wenjiaping section of Wenxian, Danjiangkou, northwestern Hubei, Central China. The endolithic fungi selectively occurred in the bad biomineral zone within the columnar layer of the eggshells, where the crowded endolithic fungi penetrated the columnar layer at near-vertical or near-horizontal angles. The endolithic fungi are needle-like, ribbon-like and silk-like, and 5-18 μm long, 0.3-0.5 μm wide at their base, with pointed tip, and are unbranched. The hyphae are mainly composed of oxygen, carbon and calcium, and are with minor sodium, potassium, chlorine and sulfur. The en-dolithic fungi and host have the same characters in lithification, fracture and main chemical composi-tion. We suggested that the episode endolithic fungi invading dinosaur eggs may have taken place in the interval between after formation of dinosaur eggshells and before their petrifaction and that dino-saur eggs invaded by endolithic fungi would not be normally incubated or would only be incubated into venerable and pathologic baby dinosaurs to be easily to aborted and contributed to the mass extinction of the dinosaurs at the end of Cretaceous. | GONG YiMing1,2, XU Ran1 & HU Bi2 1 Key Laboratory of Biogeology and Environmental Geology of Ministry of Education, State Key Laboratory of Geological Processes and Mineral Resources, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan 430074, China 2 Institute of Resources and Environment Key Laboratory of Biogenic Traces & Sedimentary Minerals of Henan Province, Henan Polytechnic University, Jiaozuo 454003, China | 2008 | Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,6: | 0
