1U-Pb Dating of Volcanic Rocks and Granites along the Wuyishan Belt:Constraints on Timing of Late Mesozoic Tectonic Events in Southeast China显示文摘Five volcanic rock samples and two granite samples taken from the volcanic basins in western Fujian and southern Jiangxi were dated by using the zircon laser albation-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry U-Pb method.Together with previously dated ages,the dates obtained provide important constraints on the timing of late Mesozoic tectonic events in SE China.The volcanic rock samples yield ages of 183.1±3.5 Ma,ca.141 Ma to 135.8+1.1 Ma,100.4±1.5 to 97.6±1.1 Ma, confirming three episodes of late Mesozoic volcanic activities,which peaked at 180±5 Ma,140±5 Ma and 100±5 Ma,respectively,along the Wuyishan belt.Moreover,based on field investigations of these volcano-sedimentary basins,we have recognized two compressional tectonic events along this belt.The early one was characterized by Upper Triassic to Middle Jurassic NNE-trending folds that were intruded by late Jurassic granites;and the late one caused the Lower Cretaceous volcano-sedimentary layer to be tilted.The dated age 152.9±1.4 Ma of the granitic samples from the Hetian granitic pluton in the Changting Basin and that from the Baishiding granitic pluton,100.2±1.8 Ma,in the Jianning Basin, give the upper boundaries of these two tectonic events respectively.Hence,the late Mesozoic tectonic evolution of SE China was alternated between extension and compression.XU Xianbing ZHANG Yueqiao JIA Dong SHU Liangshu 2011Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2011,85,1:14
2GEO and IGSO joint precise orbit determination显示文摘Experiments and analyses are carried out for GEO and joint GEO/IGSO precise orbit determination using data recorded by China's regional tracking network.Results show that joint GEO/IGSO orbit determination effectively solves the problem of poor observation geometry for GEO satellites.The laser radial evaluation thus confirms that precision is as good as less than 0.1 m.In the case of joint orbit determination,solving the empirical acceleration can reduce errors introduced by the imprecise solar radiation pressure model used for Chinese satellites.This method also improves the accuracy of orbit prediction in the radial direction.The ephemeris accuracy is thus improved and the ephemeris can provide a better service to users with navigation and positioning requirements.MAO Yue DU Yu SONG XiaoYong JIA XiaoLin WU XianBing 2011Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,6:14
3NNR constraint in ITRF2000 and the new global plate motion model NNR-ITRF2000VEL显示文摘There are 54 sites employed by ITRF2000 for ITRF2000 orientation. The deficiencies are obvious. First, these sites cannot well represent the rotation rate of the earth crust because there is no selected site in five out of fourteen tectonic plates and three of fourteen plates only have one site each. Second, the total angular momentum of the crust is non-vanishing in ITRF2000, even though it is declared that No Net Rotation (NNR) with respect to NNR-NUVEL1A is imposed on ITRF2000 construction according to the documentations of ITRF2000. So the NNR condition in conventional terrestrial reference system (CTRS) realization cannot be satisfied in ITRF2000. 4Vertically oriented TiO_2 nanotube arrays with different anodization times for enhanced boiling heat transfer显示文摘Pool boiling of saturated water on a plain Ti surface and surfaces covered with vertically-oriented TiO2 nanotube arrays(NTAs) has been studied.The technique of potentiostatic anodization using non-aqueous electrolytes was adopted to fabricate three types of TiO2 NTAs distinguished by their anodization time.Compared to the bare Ti surface,the incipient boiling wall superheat on the TiO2 NTAs was decreased by 11 K.Both the critical heat flux and heat transfer coefficient of pool boiling on the TiO2 NTAs were higher than those from boiling on a bare Ti surface.The measured maximum critical heat flux and heat transfer coefficient values were 186.7 W/cm2 and 6.22 W/cm2K,respectively.Different performances for the enhancement of heat transfer by the three types of TiO2 NTAs were attributed to the different degrees of deformation in the nanostructure during boiling.Long-term performance of the nanomaterial-coated surfaces for enhanced pool boiling showed degradation of the TiO2 NTAs prepared with an anodization time of 3 hours.XU Jia YANG MingJie XU JinLiang JI XianBing 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,8:6
5Quantitative analysis of CO_(2) embodiment in international trade:An overview of emerging literatures显示文摘The increasing volume of CO_(2) embodiment in international trade adds a layer of complexity to environmental policies and has raised arguments on the traditional production based responsibility for CO_(2) emissions.In order to help understand the quantity of CO_(2) embodiment in trade and its policy implications,this paper gives observations to recently emerging literatures that quantitatively discuss CO_(2) embodiment in trade.The analytical approaches share the principle of using input and output modeling but vary dramatically in study boundary and estimation accuracy.The calculations can be roughly categorized into three types:direct quantification of CO_(2) embodiments in multiregional trade,direct quantification of CO_(2) embodiment in bilateral trade,and indirect analysis by comparing the scenarios with or without trade.The practical estimations strongly rely on trade partner selection and data availability.An obvious imbalance of net CO_(2) embodiment in the commodity trade between major developed countries and developing economies as a whole was confirmed by these literatures.Carbon taxes and other possible limitations on CO_(2) emissions have been addressed.The consistency across the calculations could be enhanced by systematic analyses in more detail to convince the international community to take binding commitments for the reduction of global CO_(2) emissions.Xianbing LIU Can WANG 2009Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2009,3,1:5

7Transformation from Neoproterozoic Sinistral to Early Paleozoic Dextral Shearing for the Jingdezhen Ductile Shear Zone in the Jiangnan Orogen, South China显示文摘The Jingdezhen ductile shear zone is evolved from the Neoproterozoic Zhangyuan ophiolite mélange belt in the eastern Jiangnan Orogen, South China. Comprehensive study of geometry, kinematics, quartz c-axis fabric, temperature-pressure conditions and geochronology were conducted in this study. The Jingdezhen shear zone extends ~180 km along the NE orientation with two groups of subvertical foliation and subhorizontal lineation. One group of foliation strikes NEN orientation whereas another one NEE orientation. Field investigation, microscopic observation and quartz c-axis fabric show that sinistral shearing along NEN-striking foliation occurred earlier than dextral shearing along NEE-striking foliation. Syn-tectonic staurolite porphyroblasts and deformation manner of feldspar imply that sinistral shearing occurred at 530–420 ℃ and 6–2 kbar. Deformation manner and c-axis fabric of quartz and pre-tectonic staurolite porphyroblasts indicate that dextral shearing took place at 420–300 ℃. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb and mica ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar dating indicate that the sinistral shearing occurred during Neoproterozoic orogeny(830–800 Ma) whereas the dextral shearing at 447±12 Ma. The sinistral shearing resulted from the Neoproterozoic final assembly between the Yangtze and Cathaysia blocks. 8Satellite Positioning and Orbit Determination System(SPODS):Introduction and Evaluation显示文摘The Satellite Positioning and Orbit Determination System(SPODS)is a software package for GNSS positioning/orbit determination,developed by the Xi’an Research Institute of Surveying and Mapping.So far it has been able to analyse GPS data and has the capability of high precision GPS positioning and orbit determination.The underlying theory and the performance evaluation are briefly addressed in this paper.The experiments are carried out with GPS data collected from about 127 IGS stations during 4~10 January 2009.The results show that the RMS 1D difference is 1.1 cm between SPODS orbits and final IGS combined orbits,and that the repeatability of daily solutions of station coordinates is 1.5 mm for horizontal components,and 4.5 mm for vertical component,and that the consistency of ERP solutions with IGS final products is 0.025 mas,0.093 mas and 0.013 ms/d respectively for pole coordinates and LOD.Ziqing WEI Rengui RUAN Xiaolin JIA Xianbing WU Xiaoyong SONG Yue MAO Laiping FENG Yongxing ZHU 2018Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2018,1,1:4
9Campus Vibration in Nanwangshan Campus,China University of Geosciences at Wuhan Monitored by Short-Period Seismometers显示文摘Continuous seismic observations can record seismic waveforms, and ambient noise, for the purposes of earthquake researches and other applications. Here we deploy three digital seismometers(EPS-2) in and around the Nanwangshan Campus of the China University of Geosciences(Wuhan). This network was running from April 9 to May 9 of 2018. During this period, the seismometers recorded the May 4, 2018 M6.9 Hawaii earthquake. From the recorded waveforms, we could observe clearly the P and S arrivals, and the corresponding particle motions. Analysis of continuous observations of ambient noise shows obvious fluctuation of vibration intensity inside of the campus. The campus is quietest from 0 to 5 am. From 5 am on, the vibration intensity increases, and reaches the peak of entire day at 12 am. The amplitude then decreases to a very low level at 19:30 to 20:00 pm, and reaches another strong noisy time at 21:00 to 21:30 pm. After 21:30 pm, the intensity goes down slowly. We also observed seismic signals that were generated by the interaction of speed-control hump cars and ground. By taking the envelope and smooth operations, we observe different characteristics for different car speeds, which suggests that seismic monitoring approaches can be used for speed measurement of cars. This kind of small seismic network running in a real time fashion, would greatly help understanding of the sources of ambient noise at high frequency bands in interested areas. 10Genes important for survival or reproduction in Varroa destructor identified by RNAi显示文摘The Varroa mite,(Varroa destructor),is the worst threat to honey bee health worldwide.To explore the possibility of using RNA interference to control this pest, we determined the effects of knocking down various genes on Varroa mite survival and reproduction.Double-stranded RNA (dsRNA)of six candidate genes (Da,Pros26S,RpL8, RpL11,RpPO and RpS13)were synthesized and each injected into Varroa mites,then mite survival and reproduction were assessed.Injection of dsRNA for Da (Daughterless)and Pros26S (Gene for proteasome 26S subunit adenosine triphosphatase)caused a significant reduction in mite survival,with 3.57%±1.94% and 30.03%±11.43% mites surviving at 72 h post-inj ection (hpi),respectively.Control mites injected with green fluorescent protein (GFP)-dsRNA showed survival rates of 81.95%±5.03% and 82.36 ±2.81%,respectively. Injections of dsRNA for four other genes (RpL8,RpL11,RpPO and RpS13)did not affect survival significantly,enabling us to assess their effect on Varroa mite reproduction.The number of female offspring per mite was significantly reduced for mites injected with dsRNA of each of these four genes compared to their GFP-dsRNA controls.Knockdown of the target genes was verified by real-time polymerase chain reaction for two genes important for reproduction (RpL8,RpL11)and one gene important for survival (Pros26S). 12Distributed Second-Order Continuous-Time Optimization via Adaptive Algorithm with Nonuniform Gradient Gains显示文摘This paper addresses the distributed adaptive optimization problem over second-order multi-agent networks(MANs)with nonuniform gradient gains.A general convex function consisting of a sum of local differentiable convex functions is chosen as the team objective function.First,based on the local information of each agent’s neighborhood,a novel distributed adaptive optimization algorithm with nonuniform gradient gains is designed,where these gains only have relations with agents’own states.And then,the original closed-loop system is changed into an equivalent one by taking a coordination transformation.Moreover,it is proved that the states including positions and velocities of all agents are bounded by constructing a Lyapunov function provided that the initial values are given.By the theory of Lyapunov stability,it is shown that all agents can finally reach an agreement and their position states converge to the optimal solution of the team objective function asymptotically.Finally,the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results is demonstrated by several simulation examples.MO Lipo LIU Xiaodong CAO Xianbing YU Yongguang 2020Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2020,33,6:3
