1Arrangement models of alkylammonium cations in the interlayer of HDTMA^+pillared montmorillonites显示文摘The orientation of HDTMA+ in the interlayer of organic pillared montmorillonites prepared at different concentrations of HDTMA+ have been studied using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and theoretical calculation. A series of arrangement models of HDTMA+ in the interlayer of montmorillonite have been proposed as lateral-monolayer (LM), lateral-bilayer (LB), pseudotrilayer (PT), paraf-fin-type-monolayer (PM), paraffin-type-bilayer (PB). With the increase of the concentration of HDTMA+, the arrange-ment model of HDTMA+ in the interlayer of montmorillo-nites changes as lateral-monolayer→lateral-bilayer→para- ffin-type monolayer→pseudotrilayer→paraffin-type-bilayer and the packing density of HDTMA+ in the interlayer in-creases gradually. 2Characteristics and source identification of fine particulate n-alkanes in Beijing, China显示文摘Ambient particulate n-alkanes were determined for fine particle (PM2.5) samples collected from Sep 2003 to July 2004 in Beijing, China. The average concentration of total n-alkanes ( n-alkanes) from C11 to C34 was 425.72 ng/m3, ranged from 7.02 to 2893.28 ng/m3. The concentration distributions of n-alkanes homologues in this study exhibited peaks at C21 and C29 in heating season, and C29 in non-heating season. The average carbon preference index (CPI) value was 1.88 in the range of 1.18-3.88. The maximum CPI in summer indicated the contribution of biogenic origins such as plant wax; while the minimum CPI value in winter was probably a result of fossil fuel combustion. Preliminary estimation from these results showed that 59% of the n-alkanes in PM2.5 in Beijing summer originated from plant wax, while 74%-88% was from fossil fuel combustion in other three seasons. Source estimation was further performed using principal component analysis method. 4Comparison of fungal community composition within different intestinal segments of tilapia and bighead carp显示文摘Although intestinal fungi play important roles in host health and disease,the composition and diversity of fungal communities remain poorly reported in fish.In this study,fungi in the fore-,mid-,and hindintestine of tilapia(Oreochromis mossambicus)and bighead carp(Aristichthys nobilis)from Hongchaojiang Reservoir in Guangxi,China were investigated by ITS sequencing.Based on this,we obtained 1763478 high-quality tags,which clustered into 1089 operational taxonomic units(OTUs).In total,404 OTUs were annotated,of which 310,68,and 26 belonged to Ascomycota,Basidiomycota,and other,respectively.Results show significant differences in the community composition of intestinal fungi between tilapia and bighead carp but not within their different intestinal segments.Furthermore,154 of the 404 annotated OTUs were considered reliable and were classified into three trophic modes and nine guilds.The three trophic modes consisted of 108 OTUs of saprotrophic fungi,41 OTUs of pathotrophic fungi,and five OTUs of symbiotrophic fungi.The top three most abundant OTUs overall(i.e.,Otu000002,Scopulariopsis acremonium;Otu000018,Alternaria palandui;Otu000034,Aureobasidium pullulans)showed lower abundance in the hind-intestinal segments of bighead carp,suggesting uneven distribution of these fungi in this species.In addition,saprotrophic and pathotrophic fungi were markedly decreased in the hindintestine.It is indicated that the fungal community was not only related to host species specificity but also to the respective physiological functions of different intestinal segments.These findings provide valuable information on the composition,structure,and potential function of the intestinal fungi community associated with different intestinal segments in tilapia and bighead carp under natural conditions,thus highlighting the importance of fungi as an integral part of the inte stinal microbiota in maintaining host health.Lei ZHOU Yaoquan HAN Dapeng WANG Yusen LI Xiande HUANG Anyou HE 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,5:0
5Gaze Estimation via a Differential Eyes’Appearances Network with a Reference Grid显示文摘A person’s eye gaze can effectively express that person’s intentions.Thus,gaze estimation is an important approach in intelligent manufacturing to analyze a person’s intentions.Many gaze estimation methods regress the direction of the gaze by analyzing images of the eyes,also known as eye patches.However,it is very difficult to construct a person-independent model that can estimate an accurate gaze direction for every person due to individual differences.In this paper,we hypothesize that the difference in the appearance of each of a person’s eyes is related to the difference in the corresponding gaze directions.Based on this hypothesis,a differential eyes’appearances network(DEANet)is trained on public datasets to predict the gaze differences of pairwise eye patches belonging to the same individual.Our proposed DEANet is based on a Siamese neural network(SNNet)framework which has two identical branches.A multi-stream architecture is fed into each branch of the SNNet.Both branches of the DEANet that share the same weights extract the features of the patches;then the features are concatenated to obtain the difference of the gaze directions.Once the differential gaze model is trained,a new person’s gaze direction can be estimated when a few calibrated eye patches for that person are provided.Because personspecific calibrated eye patches are involved in the testing stage,the estimation accuracy is improved.Furthermore,the problem of requiring a large amount of data when training a person-specific model is effectively avoided.A reference grid strategy is also proposed in order to select a few references as some of the DEANet’s inputs directly based on the estimation values,further thereby improving the estimation accuracy.Experiments on public datasets show that our proposed approach outperforms the state-of-theart methods.Song Gu Lihui Wang Long He Xianding He Jian Wang 2021Engineering2021,7,6:0
