Advanced cold spray technology:Deposition characteristics and potential applications显示文摘Cold spray technology, originated from the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences,is a rapidly emerging industrial coating technology.Cold sprayed particles with high-velocity impact onto a substrate so as to induce severe plastic deformation and then create a deposit. For its low temperature and high velocity compared with thermal spraying, the cold spraying process is increasingly used in the industries for protective coating. The deposition characteristics of the particles, coating formation and bonding mechanism of the cold spraying process are different from thermal spraying. Many theory investigations of the cold spraying process contribute to the development of the high performance coatings, which makes the cold spraying process as a popular research field.Presently, the deposition characteristics, bonding mechanism, process optimization as well as classical applications of the cold spraying technology in the past are reviewed, and the interesting points for the further development, optimization and applications of this technology are also recommended.WU XiangKun ZHANG JiShan ZHOU XiangLin CUI Hua LIU JingChun 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,2:5
Enhancement of Rhodobacter sphaeroides growth and carotenoid production through biostimulation显示文摘Bacillus thuringiensis/cereus L2 was added as a biostimulant to enhance the biomass accumulation and carotenoid yield of Rhodobacter sphaeroides using wastewater as the culturing medium. Results showed that biostimulation could significantly enhance the R. sphaeroides biomass production and carotenoid yield. The optimal biostimulant proportion was 40 μL(about 6.4 × 105CFU). Through the use of biostimulation, chemical oxygen demand removal, R. sphaeroides biomass production, carotenoid concentration, and carotenoid yield were improved by 178%, 67%, 214%, and 70%, respectively. Theoretical analysis revealed that there were two possible reasons for such increases. One was that biostimulation enhanced the R. sphaeroides wastewater treatment efficiency. The other was that biostimulation significantly decreased the peroxidase activity in R. sphaeroides. The results showed that the highest peroxidase activity dropped by 87% and the induction ratio of the RSP_3419 gene was 3.1 with the addition of biostimulant. The enhanced carotenoid yield in R. sphaeroides could thus be explained by a decrease in peroxidase activity.Shuli Liu Guangming Zhang Xiangkun Li Pan Wu Jie Zhang 2015Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,7:3
Numerical investigation of the rebounding and the deposition behavior of particles during cold spraying显示文摘Particles may rebound from a substrate surface during cold spraying, which affects the quality of the coating. In this paper, the rebound phenomenon and its consequences on deposition behavior have been analyzed using the finite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA version 970.In a range of particle velocities of 50-1000 m/s,increases of the impact velocity caused a rapid decline of the rebound coefficient R to a low point Rmin. After that,R began to rise slowly. Then the effect of the impact velocities and material properties on the rebound phenomenon were analyzed. Both the material strength and density influenced this rebound phenomenon.Four stages of the impact process and a model of strain distribution were proposed in detail to explain the rebound phenomenon.Xianglin ZHOU Xiangkun WU Jianguo WANG Jishan ZHANG 2011Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2011,24,1:2

Haitaite-(La),LaU^(4+)Fe^(3+)2(Ti_(13)Fe^(2+)_(4)Fe^(3+))_(Σ18)O_(38),a New Member of the Crichtonite Group显示文摘Haitaite-(La),(La,Ce)(U^(4+),U6^(+),Fe^(2+))(Fe^(3+),Al)2(Ti,Fe^(2+),Fe^(3+))18O38,is a new member of the crichtonite group. It is named after the Haita Village in the Miyi County of Sichuan Province,China, where the mineral was discovered. The mineral occurs as black opaque centimeter-sized aggregates in the external contact zone between the Neoproterozoic(~800 Ma)alkali feldspar granite and the Mesoproterozoic(~1700 Ma)micaschist. In the studied sample,haitaite-(La)is associated with other minerals, including ilmenite, magnetite, rutile, zircon, brannerite and uraninite. The new mineral is a black, metallic phase and has a Mohs hardness of 6,with a density of 4.99 g/cm3(calculated)and 5.03 g/cm^(3)(measured).Haitaite-(La)is opaque in transmitted light and grayish-white under reflected light, with a reflectivity between 22.5%and 16.42%in the 400–700 nm band(SiC,in the air). The compositions of the mineral were measured by EPMA,the U4+/U6+ratio was determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and the Fe^(2+)/Fe^(3+)ratio was determined by Mössbauer spectroscopy.Haitaite-(La)is trigonal, belongs to R3¯and has unit-cell parameters a=10.3678(5)Å,c=20.8390(11)Å,V=1939.9(2)Å3,Z=3.The crystalline structure is composed of octahedra with 9 layers of close-packed octahedra(M1,M3,M4,M5),tetrahedra(M2)and contains large 12-coordinated M0 sites.WANG Fenggang FAN Guang LI Ting GE Xiangkun WU Yu WANG Tao YAO Jian 2022Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,6:0
Iron isotope fractionation during fenitization:a case study of carbonatite dykes from Bayan Obo,Inner Mongolia,China显示文摘As a powerful tracer in high-temperature geochemistry,Fe isotopes have been studied for their behaviour during fl uid exsolution and evolution related to felsic magma system, but that for carbonatite magma system remains unknown. Here we study the Fe isotope fractionation behaviour during fenitization–processes that widely occur associated with carbonatite or alkaline intrusions.Nine fenite/carbonatite samples from carbonatite dykes at Bayan Obo area are analyzed for their Fe isotope compositions as well as elemental compositions.Combined with previous reported carbonatite δ^(56)Fe data, the results show that carbonatites range from-0.35‰to 0.28‰,with an average of-0.10‰in δ^(56)Fe values, while fenites range from-0.17‰to 0.30‰,with an average of 0.11‰in δ^(56)Fe values. This indicates that fenitizing fl uids exsolved from carbonatite melts are enriched in heavier Fe isotopes.Such a Fe isotope fractionation trend is diff erent from that for fl uid exsolution from felsic magmatism.δ^(56)Fe values in fenites are negatively correlated with indicators of fenitization intensity such as(Na+K),Ti,Ba,Th,Nb,U or Pb abundances, likely refl ecting that Fe isotopes fractionate during the evolution of the fenitizing fl uids. Thus,Fe isotopes are a valuable tool for tracing fl uid exsolution and evolution relevant to carbonatite magmatism and related metal mineralization.Zongyi Wu Jian Sun Xiaowei Li Xiangkun Zhu 2022Acta Geochimica2022,41,5:0
Lithium slurry flow cell,a promising device for the future energy storage显示文摘Lithium slurry flow cell(LSFC)is a novel energy storage device that combines the concept of both lithium ion batteries(LIBs)and flow batteries(FBs).Although it is hoped to inherit the advantages of both LIBs and FBs,such as high energy density, ease of fabrication, environmental friendly, independent energy and power density,to name but a few. While unfortunately,it still has many challenges to overcome before it becoming the future star in energy storage area. Here in this paper,we briefly recall its history and try to illustrate the main issues that hindering its research as well as application. As a typical interdisciplinary product,LSFC is definitely a promising candidate for large scale energy storage application, while obviously it still has a long way to go.Lan Zhang Xiangkun Wu Weiwei Qian Haitao Zhang Suojiang Zhang 2021Green Energy & Environment2021,6,1:0
