2Response spectra for nuclear structures on rock sites considering the near-fault directivity effect显示文摘Near-fault ground motions, potentially with large amplitude and typical velocity pulses, may signifi cantly impact the performance of a wide range of structures.The current study is aimed at evaluating the safety implications of the near-fault effect on nuclear power plant facilities designed according to the Chinese code.To this end, a set of near-fault ground motions at rock sites with typical forward-directivity effect is examined with special emphasis on several key parameters and response spectra.Spectral comparison of the selected records with the Chinese and other code design spectra was conducted.The bi-normalized response spectra in terms of different corner periods are utilized to derive nuclear design spectra.It is concluded that nuclear design spectra on rock sites derived from typical rupture directivity records are significantly influenced both by the earthquake magnitude and the rupture distance.The nuclear design spectra specified in the code needs to be adjusted to reflect the near-fault directivity effect of large earthquakes.Xu Longjun Yang Shengchao Xie Lili 2010Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2010,9,3:9
3Effect of manganese tailings on capsicum growth显示文摘The impact of Mn in manganese waste rocks and electrolytic manganese residues on the growth of capsicum was studied via pot experiments. The product yield and manganese nutrition were mainly evaluated in this study. The results showed that the ingredients of manganese tailings were beneficial to the increase of chlorophyll contents in the capsicum. The chlorophyll contents were raised by 12.6%–28.7%, 7.18%–12.1% and 9.70%–13.7%, respectively, corresponding to the idiophase of flower bud, the initial florescence and the fruit expansion stage. Moreover, the additive significantly improved capsicum’s economic features, such as its height, stem width, fruit length and weight and the yield of fresh fruit. These parameters were raised by 11.9%–25%, 18.6%–25.6%, 20.7%–35.4%, 10.4%–27.6% and 11.4%–65.7%, respectively. At the meantime, the manganese taken up by stems and leaves of the capsicum also increased by 11.7%–23.4% and 33.9%–62.8%, respectively. The manganese which remained in the soil was less than that in the original soil due to plant absorption and rainfall loss in pot experiments. 4Leaching process and kinetics of manganese in low-grade manganese ore显示文摘Manganese was extracted from leaching low-grade manganese ore in sulfuric acid medium. The effects of granule diameter, leaching time, liquid/solid ratio (V/W) and the concentration of sulfuric acid were investigated through orthogonal and single factor experiments. The experimental results showed that the optimal leaching conditions are, size of 0.054mm, 120 minutes of reaction time, 3(V/W) of liquid/solid ratio and 30% of the concentration of sulfuric acid (g/g). Under those conditions, the leaching efficiency is 96.73%. 5Sr speciation in producing SrCO_3 with celestite显示文摘Strontium speciation transferring in strontium residue and mixing strontium ore are investigated with extracting experiment, X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), X-ray fluorescence spectrometer(XRF) and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy(AAS). The results show that there are strontium carbonate, strontium sulfate, strontium sulfide, and a little amount of strontium silicate and strontium ferrite in strontium residue. Impurities in strontium residue mainly contain carbonate and oxide of calcium, iron, magnesium and aluminum etc. The amount of strontium sulfide in strontium residue is larger than that in strontium ore. And a little strontium silicate and strontium ferrite are found in strontium ore. It is concluded that acid soluble method is used firstly in the process of producing strontium carbonate from mixing strontium ore. In addition, mechanical smash method and surface active treatment to strontium samples are beneficial to the ratio-leaching increase of strontium. 8Site dependence of far-source ground motions during the Wenchuan earthquake显示文摘This paper aimed to examine the site dependence and evaluate the methods for site analysis of farsource ground motions.This was achieved through the examination of frequency content estimated by different methods based on strong ground motions recorded at twelve far-source stations in Shandong province during the Wenchuan earthquake.The stations were located in sites with soil profiles ranging from code classes Ⅰ to Ⅲ.Approaches used included the Fourier amplitude spectrum(FAS),the earthquake response spectrum(ERS),the spectral ratio between the horizontal and the vertical components(H/V),the spectral ratio between the spectra at the site and at a reference site(SRRS),and coda wave analysis(CWA).Results showed that major periods of these ground motions obtained by FAS,ERS and H/V ratio methods were all evidently larger than site dominant periods;the periods were also different from each other and mainly reflected the frequency content of long period components.Prominent periods obtained by the SRRS approach neither illuminated the long period aspect nor efficiently determined site features of the motions.The CWA resulted in a period close to site period for stations with good quality recordings.The results obtained in this study will be useful for the evaluation of farsource effect in constructing seismic design spectra and in selecting methods for ground motion site analysis.Longjun Xu Haiying Yu Wenhai Cao Lili Xie 2009Earthquake Science2009,22,5:1
9Preparation of chemical manganese dioxide from low-grade rhodochrosite ore显示文摘The preparation of chemical manganese dioxide(CMD) from low-grade rhodochrosite ore(LGRO) in Xiushan,Chongqing,was studied and improved,including leaching with sulfuric acid,purifying,crystallizing and decomposing of MnCO3,and refining of primary MnO2.The product was characterized by X-ray diffraction.The results showed that the extraction ratio,the manganese recovery ratio of purifying,crystallization and refining reached 96.8%,93.9%,97.7%and 85.4%,respectively.The optimum conditions of refining were described as follows:liquid(H2SO4)/solid(primary MnO2) ratio was 3 L/g,the concentrations of NaClO exceeded 20%,and reaction time was 3 hours.Under the above conditions,the contents of MnO2and Mn in the obtained manganese dioxide were respectively 85.1%and 53.9%.The refined MnO2can be used as the super grade manganese dioxide mine powder in chemical industry.The XRD indicated that the structure of the product wasγ-MnO2.ZHAO Jing XU Longjun XIE Chao 2013Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2013,32,4:1
10Consecutive combined response spectrum显示文摘Appropriate estimates of earthquake response spectrum are essential for design of new structures, or seismic safety evaluation of existing structures. This paper presents an alternative procedure to construct design spectrum from a combined normalized response spectrum(NRSC) which is obtained from pseudo-velocity spectrum with the ordinate scaled by different peak ground amplitudes(PGA, PGV, PGD) in different period regions. And a consecutive function f(T) used to normalize the ordinates is defined. Based on a comprehensive study of 220 strong ground motions recorded during recent eleven large worldwide earthquakes, the features of the NRSC are discussed and compared with the traditional normalized acceleration, velocity and displacement response spectra(NRSA, NRSV, NRSD). And the relationships between ground amplitudes are evaluated by using a weighted mean method instead of the arithmetic mean. Then the NRSC is used to define the design spectrum with given peak ground amplitudes. 11Preparation of Mn_3O_4 from low-grade rhodochrosite ore by chemical bath deposition method显示文摘Mn3O4was prepared with the chemical bath deposition(CBD) method. A Mn SO4 solution was obtained by the leaching and purifying of low-grade rhodochrosite ore(LGRO), which was used as raw material. The prepa ration procedures were studied and promoted. The result showed that the Mn3O4 with the highest purity and highes specific surface area could be obtained under the following processes. An Mn SO4 solution of 1.0 mol/L was added into a beaker under a flow rate of 30 m L/h. The p H of the reaction solution was adjusted to 10 using NH3 H2 O a80 °C. Then the solids were washed and dried at 200 °C fo2.5 h. The total Mn content(TMC) of Mn3O4 was 72.0 %The ionic distributions was formulated as [Mn2?[Mn2??0.3024Mn30.2937Mn4?h0.37860.0254]2O4. The average crys tallite size of Mn3O4 with a tetragonal hausmannite struc ture was found to be about 35 nm by X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis. 12Extraction kinetics of strontium with SDS and Twain in celestine显示文摘Strontium in celestine was activated in Twain-40 with the wetting and emulsifying methods. And strontium extract ratio increased providing that the negative effects of oxygen containing functional groups were eliminated on celestine surface. In the paper, the factors affecting the extraction of strontium in celestine were investigated with orthogonal experiments. The optimal conditions were described as follows: mass ratio of celestine to extracting aid=2.6:1, the solid-liquid ratio of extracting aid solvent composed was m(SDS): m(Twain 40): m(HCl)=6:1:2, when celestine was ground as small as less than 0.075mm in size, and extracted for 6 hours at 333K. The strontium extract ratio increased by 61.33% and reached 97.21%, while the ratio from the comparative experiment (without extracting aid agent) was only 35.88%. Extraction kinetics of strontium in celestine showed that the diffusion process was a controlling step, and the apparent active energy was about 14.1 kJ/mol. 13Influence of pH on properties of Mn-Zn ferrites synthesized from low-grade manganese ore显示文摘Mn-Zn ferrite powders were produced from low-grade manganese ore(LMO) via the chemical coprecipitation method combined with the ceramic method,after the LMO was leached in sulfuric acid and the obtained solution was purified.The effect of the pH on the magnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrite was investigated by the varying pH of the co-precipitation system.The crystal structure and phases of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and infrared spectrum,respectively.The magnetic measurements were carried out on a vibrating sample magnetometer.The optimal sample was obtained with a saturation magnetization of 55.02 emu/g,a coercivity of 8.20 G and a remanent magnetization of1.71 emu/g when pH is 7.5.Xie Chao Xu Longjun Ye Yongjun Li Xiangyang Wang Shuyun 2015Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2015,34,2:0
