| 1 | Simulation of Land-use Scenarios for Beijing Using CLUE-S and Markov Composite Models显示文摘This study investigated and simulated land use patterns in Beijing for the year 2000 and the year 2005 from the actual land use data for the year 1995 and the year 2000,respectively,by combining spatial land allocation simulation using the CLUE-S model,and numerical land demand prediction using the Markov model.The simulations for 2000 and 2005 were confirmed to be generally accurate using Kappa indices.Then the land-use scenarios for Beijing in 2015 were simulated assuming two modes of development:1) urban development following existing trends;and 2) under a strict farmland control.The simulations suggested that under either mode,urbanized areas would expand at the expense of land for other uses.This expansion was predicted to dominate the land-use conversions between 2005 and 2015,and was expected to be accompanied by an extensive loss of farmland.The key susceptible to land-use changes were found to be located at the central urban Beijing and the surrounding regions including Yanqing County,Changping District and Fangshan District.Also,the simulations predicted a considerable expansion of urban/suburban areas in the mountainous regions of Beijing,suggesting a need for priority monitoring and protection. | HU Yecui ZHENG Yunmei ZHENG Xinqi | 2013 | Chinese Geographical Science2013,23,1: | 25 |

| 3 | The Early Jurassic magmatism in northern Guangdong Province, southeastern China: Constraints from SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating of Xialan complex显示文摘This paper reports SHRIMP zircon U-Pb ages of 196±2 Ma for granite, and 195±1 Ma for gabbro from the Xialan complex in the Meizhou area, northern Guangdong Province. These results shed new light on the calm stage of magmatic activity in southeastern China during 200-180 Ma, and revealed that the back-arc extension induced by the subduction of the western Pacific plate may have begun at 195 Ma at least. Field observation on the fresh outcrops allows us to recognize some features formed by magma mixing. A part of the gabbro has a fine-grained rim of 20-30 cm at the margin, and thins gradually to-ward the granite; numerous dark fine-grained to microcrystalline dioritic enclaves developed in the granite. These enclaves vary in shape and size, dark minerals concentrated at the margin of enclaves, and the contact between enclaves and host rock is either obvious or obscure, or gradational. In addi-tion, needle-shaped apatites are included in the enclaves. The REE patterns of gabbros, as well as the trace element patterns, are generally consistent with those of granitic rocks. | 6 | Effects of water regime, crop residues, and application rates on control of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cubense显示文摘Biological soil disinfestation is an effective method to control soil-borne disease by flooding and incorporating with organic amendments, but field conditions and resources sometimes limited its practical application. A laboratory experiment was conducted to develop practice guidelines on controlling Fusarium wilt, a widespread banana disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense(FOC). FOC infested soil incorporated with rice or maize straw at rates of 1.5 tons/ha and 3.0 tons/ha was incubated under flooded or water-saturated(100% water holding capacity) conditions at 30℃ for 30 days. Results showed that FOC populations in the soils incorporated with either rice or maize straw rapidly reduced more than 90% in the first 15 days and then fluctuated till the end of incubation, while flooding alone without organic amendment reduced FOC populations slightly. The rapid and dramatic decrease of redox potential(down to- 350 m V) in straw-amended treatments implied that both anaerobic condition and strongly reductive soil condition would contribute to pathogen inactivation. Water-saturation combined with straw amendments had the comparable effects on reduction of FOC, indicating that flooding was not indispensable for inactivating FOC. There was no significant difference in the reduction of FOC observed in the straw amendments at between 1.5 and 3 tons/ha. | 10 | Exhumation history of the Huangshan granite pluton,southern Anhui Province:New insights from fission-track analysis显示文摘The dating of the uplift onset of the Huangshan pluton in the southern part of Anhui Province associated with the collision between paleo-Pacific Block and the Eurasian Block is a fundamental issue to better understand the uplift mechanisms and the regional tectonic evolution.χ2 values of seven zircon fission track(ZFT) samples collected from the south part of the Huangshan pluton were all<5%.Based on the grain ages of four typical ZFT samples,three thermal overprints ranging in 113-123,72-95 and 49-66 Ma were distinguished respectively using the binomial peak-fitting method in accordance with the tectonic thermal events after south China shifted into circum-Pacific tectonic region.Apatite fission track(AFT) study of the Huangshan pluton shows ages lie between 15±3 and 56±6 Ma with allχ2 values>5%,and all are significantly younger than their host rock formation ages,indicating that the samples have experienced post-formation thermal history.Based on the AFT results and topography characteristics in the Huangshan pluton,three zones with different denudation intensities caused by the differential uplift of the fault blocks were recognized in this paper,indicating that denudation was driven by the increase in elevation significantly.Modeling of the AFT data shows that the earlier cooling phase took place in the early Cenozoic and involved 3.3,3.8 and 6.0°C/Ma of cooling rates equivalent to the exhumation rates of 90,104 and 167 m/Ma in different fault blocks.The last phase of cooling took place from~10 Ma with average cooling rate of~5.6°C/Ma,equivalent to average denudation rates of~156 m/Ma.The fission track results imply that the regional compression field plays an important role for the differential exhumation between individual fault blocks of the Huangshan pluton. | ZHENG Yong YU XinQi YUAN WanMing WANG De'En JIANG GongBing ZHU DeLai WANG Cheng JIA YingYing | 2011 | Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,4: | 3 |

| 13 | Network analysis of protein-protein interaction显示文摘Residue networks are constructed by defining the residues as the vertices and atom contacts between them as the edges. The residue network of a protein complex is divided into two types of networks, i.e. the hydrophobic and the hydrophilic residue networks. By analyzing the network parameters, it is found that the correct binding complex conformations are of both higher sum of the interface degree values and lower characteristic path length than those incorrect ones. These features reflect that the correct bind-ing complex conformations have better geometric and/or residue type complementarity, and the correct binding modes are very important for preserving the characteristic path lengths of native protein complexes. In addition, two scoring terms are proposed based on the network parameters, in which the characteristics of the entire complex shape and residue type complementarity are taken into account. These network-based scoring terms have also been used in conjunction with other scoring terms, and the new multi-term scoring HPNCscore is devised in this work. It can improve the discrimination of the combined scoring function of RosettaDock more than 12%. | 17 | Uprising period and elevation of the Wenyu granitic pluton in the Xiaoqinling District, Central China显示文摘Xiaoqinling District is an important gold-producing area in China.It ranks second to Jiaodong with regard to gold deposits.The uprising period of the Wenyu granitic pluton and the wall-rocks of the deposit,as well as the mineralizing depth and reserved place of gold ore bodies,are significant to ore exploration.Fission-track(FT)analysis of zircons and apatites of granitic rocks from the Wenyu granitic pluton shows that apatite FT(AFT)data modeling indicates a rapid cooling rate of 20°C/Ma from 138 to120 Ma after emplacement at 138 Ma.Thermal evolution and inversion curves suggest a secondary phase of fast cooling and uprising from 45 to 35 Ma,and 35 Ma,respectively,with a cooling rate of 6.7°C/Ma and a denudation quantity of^4.3 km.The last cooling phase took place from<4 Ma,with an average cooling rate of^11.3°C/Ma and a denudation amount of 1.3 km.Total exhumation quantity of 5.6 km and uprising elevation of 7.3 km are similar to the estimated results of fluid inclusions from the Dongtongyu and Wenyu gold deposits.The39Ar/40Ar dating of sericite from the fault planes of the Xunmadao-Xiaohe and Taiyao faults demonstrate two uprising activities of the ore-host metamorphic complex.The Huashan and Wenyu granitic plutons intensively occurred during 77 and 45 Ma,respectively.These data sets are valuable for understanding the uplifting process and for preserving gold ore bodies in the Xiaoqinling area,as well as for further studies on tectonic evolutions of the Taihua Complex and the Qinling-Dabie Orogen. | YU XinQi LIU JunLai ZHANG DeHui ZHENG Yong LI ChunLin CHEN ShuaiQi LI Tan | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,35: | 3 |
