The Chinese Urban-rural Dual Economic Structure Model and Analysis显示文摘Based on the characteristics of urban-rural dual economic structure in China,we build a dynamic endogenous urban-rural dual economic model closely linked to China's reality, and carry out mathematical economics analysis of optimized conditions for urban and rural sectors. The main results show that:(i) The labor growth rate of urban-rural sectors must be greater than the time discount rate,or else there would be a vicious cycle of diminishing returns in the sectors;(ii) The accumulation rate of physical capital and human capital of urban-rural sectors, and the rate of technological progress, need to be greater than the corresponding depreciation rate plus the time discount rate, otherwise there would be a vicious cycle of diminishing returns in the sectors;(iii) The low accumulation rate in the rural sector, and the occurrence of labor outflow, human capital loss and lack of investment, will expand income gap between urban and rural areas, which is a reason for solidification of urban-rural dual economic structure. | Xiuchuan XU Shengping SHI Qinghua HUANG | 2014 | Asian Agricultural Research2014,6,1: | 2

DeceFL:a principled fully decentralized federated learning framework显示文摘Traditional machine learning relies on a centralized data pipeline for model training in various applications;however, data are inherently fragmented.Such a decentralized nature of databases presents the serious challenge for collaboration:sending all decentralized datasets to a central server raises serious privacy concerns.Although there has been a joint effort in tackling such a critical issue by proposing privacy-preserving machine learning frameworks, such as federated learning, most state-of-the-art frameworks are built still in a centralized way,in which a central client is needed for collecting and distributing model information(instead of data itself)from every other client, leading to high communication burden and high vulnerability when there exists a failure at or an attack on the central client. Here we propose a principled decentralized federated learning algorithm(DeceFL),which does not require a central client and relies only on local information transmission between clients and their neighbors, representing a fully decentralized learning framework. It has been further proven that every client reaches the global minimum with zero performance gap and achieves the same convergence rate O(1=T)(where T is the number of iterations in gradient descent)as centralized federated learning when the loss function is smooth and strongly convex. Finally, the proposed algorithm has been applied to a number of applications to illustrate its effectiveness for both convex and nonconvex loss functions,time-invariant and time-varying topologies,as well as IID and Non-IID of datasets, demonstrating its applicability to a wide range of real-world medical and industrial applications. | Ye Yuan Jun Liu Dou Jin Zuogong Yue Tao Yang Ruijuan Chen Maolin Wang Chuan Sun Lei Xu Feng Hua Yuqi Guo Xiuchuan Tang Xin He Xinlei Yi Dong Li Guanghui Wen Wenwu Yu Hai-Tao Zhang Tianyou Chai Shaochun Sui Han Ding | 2023 | National Science Open2023,2,1: | 1
Neuroprotective effect of shenfu injection after intra-arterial thrombolysis显示文摘BACKGROUND: Within 3 hours after ischemic stroke, thrombolysis can improve prognosis of patients; however, cerebral edema and cerebral hemorrhage induced by vascular recanalization at an early phase can influence on therapeutic effect of thrombolysis; therefore, thrombolysis is combined with neuroprotective agent for recently clinical treatment. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the neuroprotective effect of shenfu injection on patients with ischemic stroke after arterial thrombolysis and compare with the controls. DESIGN: Case-controlled study. SETTING: Department of Medical Image, Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 45 patients with acute stroke were selected from Emergency Department or Neurological Department of the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University from August 2005 to May 2006. All patients were met the diagnosis criteria published by the Fourth National Stroke Conference and had middle cerebral arterial embolism with angiography. Attacked course was less than 6 hours. Patients did not have a history of stroke. Scores of the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) were not less than 4 points and patients were aged from 18 to 80 years. All subjects consented of the whole therapeutic process. METHODS: ① Intermittent perfusion was used to treat intra-arterial thrombolysis. Thirty patients with vascular recanalization or partially vascular recanalization (18 males and 12 females) were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 15 in each group. There was no significant difference of baseline data between the two groups. After recanalization, patients in treatment group were given 20 mL shenfu injection, which consisted of ginseng saponin and aconitine (Ya’an Sanjiu Pharmaceutical Company, batch number: 041013, 10 mL/ampoule) and slowly injected into vein for longer than 5 minutes. And then, patients were intravenously dripped with 50 mL shenfu injection and 50 g/L 250 mL glucose solution once a day for 2 courses. Fourteen days were regarded as a course. Patients in control group were treated with the same volume of glucose solution (50 g/L), and other processes in this group were as the same as those in treatment group. ② NIHSS scores before thrombolysis and at 24 hours after thrombolysis: Patients were scored as the follows: level of consciousness, staring, sight, facial paralysis, upper limb movement, lower limb movement, incoordination, sense, language, dysarthria and neglect. Total scores ranged from 0 to 42, and the more the scores were, the more obvious the symptom was. ③ Patients were checked with head CT examination at 24 hours after thrombolysis. ④ Modified Rankin scores at 3 months after thrombolysis: Total scores ranged from 0 to 6. 0: symptomless; 6: death; 0-2: well; 3-6: poor. ⑤ Adverse events and side effects were checked after thrombolysis. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Comparison of NIHSS scores between the two groups before and after thrombolysis; ② comparison of modified Rankin scores at 3 months after thrombolysis; ③ comparison of adverse events and side effects. RESULTS: Among 45 patients with ischemic stroke, 30 ones with vascular recanalization were involved in the final analysis. ① Comparison of NIHSS scores before and after thrombolysis: After thrombolysis, NIHSS scores were 5 in treatment group and 8 in control group, which were lower than those before thrombolysis (12, 13; U =2.054, 1.652; P < 0.05). At 24 hours after thrombolysis, NIHSS score was 5 in treatment group, which was lower than that in control group (8, U =2.157, P < 0.05). ② Comparison of modified Rankin scores at 3 months after thrombolysis: Rankin scores which were regarded as well accounted for 93% (14/15) in treatment group, which was higher than those in control group (53%, 8/15, P < 0.05). ③ Comparison of adverse events and side effects: Patients in treatment group did not have cerebral hemorrhage and whole-body hemorrhage with head CT examination; meanwhile, all patients were living at 24 hours after thrombolysis. Among 2 patients with cerebral hemorrhage, 1 case were dead in control group with head CT examination at 24 hours after thrombolysis. CONCLUSION: Intra-arterial thrombolysis combined with shenfu injection plays a neuroprotective role in ischemic stroke; additionally, it is safe for patients. | Huaijun Liu Xiuchuan Jia Jiping Yang Zengpin Liu Guoshi Wang Linfang Li | 2006 | Neural Regeneration Research2006,1,5: | 1
Translocality:A Re-recognition of Locality in Western Geography显示文摘Translocality,as a re-recognition of locality in western Geography, has gradually become an important theoretical framework for understanding the increasingly interconnected global world.By focusing on sorting out the context and main topics of current western geography on translocality research,it reached the following conclusions.(i)From the perspective of geography, translocality research can be roughly divided into initial development stage, stable development stage and high-speed development stage.(ii)Existing studies on migration, urbanization, and social resilience form the knowledge base for translocality research from the perspective of geography.Migration, mobility, and politics are hot topics of translocality research.(iii)Current issues mainly focus on the characteristics of translocal behavior, the impact of translocal behavior, translocal circular flow and gender research in translocal behavior.Based on this,it proposed the important trends that translocality research in China needs to pay attention. | Xiuchuan LIU Fei SU | 2023 | Asian Agricultural Research2023,15,3: | 0
Model Equilibrium and Empirical Study of Rural Labor Transfer显示文摘We establish the two-sector economy model including the urban sector and the rural sector, derive the labor demand curve of the urban sector and rural sector under the condition of balanced production decisions with benefit maximization, and analyze the labor flow when in the short-term or long-term two-sector economic equilibrium. The results show that rising wages caused by short-term internal and external impact increases the pressure on the employment in two sectors, and the urban sector is difficult to absorb the surplus labor of the rural sector. However, under the conditions of free flow of factors and fully competitive market, the wage variation arising from the long-term endogenous evolution, leads to inversely proportional relationship between the demand for labor in the urban and rural sectors, which is conducive to the transfer of rural labor force. Based on microeconomic survey data of labor flow in urban-rural coordination experimental zones in Chongqing City, this paper makes an empirical study of the main factors having a short-term impact on the labor transfer, and the results show that education level and the opportunity to participate in the training are important factors. | Qinghua HUANG Xiuchuan XU Ming ZHANG Yue ZHAO | 2013 | Asian Agricultural Research2013,5,5: | 0
Four temporin-derived peptides exhibit antimicrobial and antibiofilm activities against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus显示文摘Temporin-GHa(GHa)was cloned from Hylarana guentheri, showing a weak antimicrobial activity. In order to improve its bactericidal efficacy,GHaR6R,GHaR7R,GHaR8R and GHaR9W were designed and synthesized.Compared to the parent peptide, the GHa-derived peptides show potent antimicrobial activities against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA),which is the main pathogen with high morbidity and mortality that causes various infections in humans. These peptides exert bactericidal actions on MRSA by permeabilizing the cytoplasmic membranes and damaging membrane integrity. All of the four peptides exhibit excellent stability under harsh conditions, including extreme temperature and salts.Furthermore, they inhibit the formation of biofilm and eradicate mature biofilm of MRSA.The GHa-derived peptides decrease bacterial surface hydrophobicity, autoaggregation and polysaccharide intercellular adhesion synthesis in concentration-dependent manner.Real-time quantitative reverse transcription PCR analysis revealed that the peptides downregulatethe expression of adhesion genes icaADBC involved in biofilm formation.Except for GHaR7R,the other three peptides have low hemolytic toxicity against human erythrocytes. In the presence of human erythrocytes,GHaR7R,GHaR8R and GHaR9W interact with MRSA preferentially.GHaR6R,GHaR8R and GHaR9W show less toxicity toward normal cells HL-7702 and hFOB1.19.These results suggest that the GHa-derived peptides may be promising antimicrobial candidates against MRSA infections. | Xiuchuan Tan Shenghong Xie Xiao Jin Ruiying Zhu Shuangshuang Wei Yanting Song Xi Xie Rong Wang Lushuang Li Manchuriga Wang Yingxia Zhang | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,3: | 0

Development and Validation of a Prognostic Risk Score System for COVID-19 Inpatients:A Multi-Center Retrospective Study in China显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has become a worldwide pandemic.Hospitalized patients of COVID-19 suffer from a high mortality rate, motivating the development of convenient and practical methods that allow clinicians to promptly identify high-risk patients. Here,we have developed a risk score using clinical data from 1479 inpatients admitted to Tongji Hospital,Wuhan,China(development cohort)and externally validated with data from two other centers:141 inpatients from Jinyintan Hospital,Wuhan,China(validation cohort 1)and 432 inpatients from The Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen,Shenzhen,China(validation cohort 2).The risk score is based on three biomarkers that are readily available in routine blood samples and can easily be translated into a probability of death. The risk score can predict the mortality of individual patients more than 12 d in advance with more than 90%accuracy across all cohorts. Moreover, the Kaplan-Meier score shows that patients can be clearly differentiated upon admission as low, intermediate,or high risk, with an area under the curve(AUC)score of 0.9551.In summary,a simple risk score has been validated to predict death in patients infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2);it has also been validated in independent cohorts. | Ye Yuan Chuan Sun Xiuchuan Tang Cheng Cheng Laurent Mombaerts Maolin Wang Tao Hu Chenyu Sun Yuqi Guo Xiuting Li Hui Xu Tongxin Ren Yang Xiao Yaru Xiao Hongling Zhu Honghan Wu Kezhi Li Chuming Chen Yingxia Liu Zhichao Liang Zhiguo Cao Hai-Tao Zhang Ioannis Ch.Paschaldis Quanying Liu Jorge Goncalves Qiang Zhong Li Yan | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,1: | 0
