| 1 | Rapid detection to long ship wake in synthetic aperture radar satellite imagery显示文摘The maritime administrative department employs synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite remote sensing technology to obtain evidence of illegal discharge of ships. If the ship is discharged during navigation, it forms a long dark wake on the SAR image due to the suppression of the Bragg wave by the oil fi lm. This study investigates key techniques for rapid detection of long ship wakes, thereby providing law enforcement agencies with candidate ships for possible discharge. This paper presents a rapid long ship wake detection method that uses satellite imaging parameters and the axial direction of the ship in images to determine the potential detection area of the wake. Then, the threshold of long ship wake detection is determined using statistical analysis, the area is binarized, and isolated points are removed using a morphological filter operator. The method was tested with ENVISAT Synthetic Aperture Radar and GF-3 SAR data, and results showed that the method was eff ective, and the overall accuracy of the decision reaches 71%. We present two innovations;one is a method that draws a Doppler shift curve, and uses the SAR imaging parameters to determine the detection area of the long wake to achieve rapid detection and reduce the image detection area. The other is where a classical linear fitting method is used to quickly and accurately determine whether the detected dark area is a long ship wake and realizes the twisted long ship wake detection caused by the sea surface flow field, which is otherwise diffi cult to detect by the traditional Radon and Hough transform methods. This method has good suppression performance for the dark spot false alarm formed by low speed wind region or upward flow. | 17 | Continuous mechanical tuning of plasmonic nanoassemblies for tunable and selective SERS platforms显示文摘The continuous tuning of plasmonic nanoassembly's structure is the key to manipulate their optical and catalytic properties.Herein,we report a strategy of using macroscopic deformation to continuously tune the structure and optical activity of massive plasmonic nanoassemblies that are embedded in elastic polymer matrix.Plasmonic gold nanoparticles(Au NPs)are assembled to nanochains(Au NCs)with defined length and further embedded into polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)matrix.The nanostructure and plasmonic properties of massive Au NCs in this Au NCs-PVP film can be simultaneously and continuously tuned,simply by reversible mechanical deformation of this elastic film.In this way,the surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)enhancement factor of this film as a SERS substrate can be mechanically modulated in the range of 10^(0)to 6.8×10^(7).Meanwhile,the PVP matrix also serves as a selective diffusion barrier to eliminate the fluorescence interference of large biomolecules,which enables the Au NCs-PVP film as a convenient SER S substrate for quick and direct analysis of small molecule analytes in biological samples and food,avoiding the complicate and time-consuming sample pretreatment process. | Xiunan Yan Qing Chen Qun Song Ziyu Huo Ning Zhang Mingming Ma | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,1: | 0 |
| 18 | Metabolomic profiles in a green alga (Raphidocelis subcapitata) following erythromycin treatment: ABC transporters and energy metabolism显示文摘A recent study showed that erythromycin(ERY)exposure caused hormesis in a model alga(Raphidocelis subcapitata)where the growth was promoted at an environmentally realistic concentration(4μg/L)but inhibited at two higher concentrations(80 and 120μg/L),associated with opposite actions of certain signaling pathways(e.g.,xenobiotic metabolism,DNA replication).However,these transcriptional alterations remain to be investigated and verified at the metabolomic level.This study uncovered metabolomic profiles and detailed toxic mechanisms of ERY in R.subcapitata using untargetedmetabolomics.Themetabolomic analysis showed that metabolomic pathways including ABC transporters,fatty acid biosynthesis and purine metabolism were associated with growth promotion in algae treated with 4μg/L ERY.An overcompensation was possibly activated by the low level of ERY in algae where more resources were reallocated to efficiently restore the temporary impairments,ultimately leading to the outperformance of growth.By contrast,algal growth inhibition in the 80 and 120μg/L ERY treatments was likely attributed to the dysfunction of metabolomic pathways related to ABC transporters,energy metabolism and metabolism of nucleosides.Apart from binding of ERY to the 50S subunit of ribosomes to inhibit protein translation as in bacteria,the data presented here indicate that inhibition of protein translation and growth performance of algae by ERY may also result from the suppression of amino acid biosynthesis and aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis.This study provides novel insights into the dose-dependent toxicity of ERY on R.subcapitata. | Jiezhang Mo Zhihua Ma Shiwei Yan Napo KM Cheung Fangshe Yang Xiunan Yao Jiahua Guo | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,2: | 0 |
