1Phosphate removal from wastewater by model-La(Ⅲ)zeolite adsorbents显示文摘Phosphorus is one of the primary nutrients which leads to eutrophication and accelerates aging process in enclosed water bodies. Because of the poor phosphorus selectivity of other adsorbents, the novel La(III)-modified zeolite adsorbent (LZA) was prepared by modifying 90 nm zeolite with lanthanide to selectively remove phosphate in the presence of various omnipresent anions, such as sulfates, bicarbonates, and chlorides. Through batch and fixed bed operation, the following optimum conditions were obtained: concentration of lanthanum chloride solution 0.05 mol/L; solid/liquor ratio 1/25; pH 10; calcination temperature 550°C; time 1 h. The value of the Freundlich model constants Kf and 1/n were found to be 16.76 mg/L and 0.2209, respectively. In addition, when calculated at pH 6.0, distribution coefficient KD could be as high as 36.6. Furthermore, in the alkaline pH range, solution of 0.8 mol/L NaCl was used to regenerate the saturated LZA, which could reach the high regeneration efficiency as high as 100%. 3Effect of one-step aging on microstructure and properties of a novel Al-Zn-Mg-Cu-Zr alloy显示文摘The effect of one-step aging temper on the mechanical properties, electrical conductivity and the microstructure of a novel Al-7.5Zn-1.6Mg-1.4Cu-0.12Zr alloy has been investigated. The results indicated that with elevating the aging temperature from 100℃ to 160℃, the aging response rate was greatly accelerated, and the UTS at peak aging condition decreased, while the corresponding TYS increased. However, the electrical conductivity of the alloy became higher. After aging for 24 h at 120℃, the peak UTS and TYS values were achieved as 591 MPa and 541 MPa, respectively; but the alloy achieved a lower conductivity, 20.4 MS/m. When T6 temper was performed at 140℃ for 14 h, the UTS decreased only by 1% of the former, whereas the TYS and the electrical conductivity increased obviously, which were up to 559 MPa and 22.6 MS/m, respectively. The major strengthening precipitates of the peak-aged alloy were GP zones and η′ phase. The precipitates in both the matrix and the grain boundary became coarser with rising aging temperature. 4Effect of Zn addition on microstructure and mechanical properties of an Al–Mg–Si alloy显示文摘In the present work, an Al–0.66Mg–0.85Si–0.2Cu alloy with Zn addition was investigated by electron back scattering diffraction(EBSD), high resolution electron microscopy(HREM), tensile and Erichsen tests. The mechanical properties of the alloy after pre-aging met the standards of sheet forming. After paint baking, the yield strength of the alloy was improved apparently. GP(Ⅱ) zones and η'phases were formed during aging process due to Zn addition. 5Dongsha erosive channel on northern South China Sea Shelf and its induced Kuroshio South China Sea Branch显示文摘Based on a data base of multi-channel seismic profiles covered over Dongsha plateau of the northern South China Sea margin, we found that the sea bed morphology of northern South China Sea margin had been changed dramatically after Dongsha uplifting, that sedimentary layer since Miocene age had been eroded with maximum eroded thickness more than 1000 m, and that an erosive channel had been formed of 20 km in width and 200 km in length and several hundreds meters in depth on the outer shelf of northern South China Sea. The erosive channel is parallel to the 600 m isobath line, stretching from northeast to the southwest north of Dongsha uplift. The Kuroshio intrudes the South China Sea through Luzon Strait both in winter time and summer time, and in the northern South China Sea margin area, the intruded Kuroshio Branch takes the form of Pacific-Indian Ocean Through Flow (PITH) in winter time, while the Luzon Strait Subsurface Inflow (LSSIF) in summer time, the routes of both PITH and LSSIF coincide well with the distribution of the erosive channel. After climbing from the northern slope up to the northern shelf, and after joined by the southward flow from the middle northern shelf of South China Sea, the Kuroshio Branch is strengthened and thus is able to erode the sea floor, and the shape of the erosive channel is a result of the long-term interaction between the Kuroshio South China Sea Branch and the Dongsha outer shelf sea floor.LUAN XiWu ZHANG Liang PENG XueChao 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,1:11
6Abnormality monitoring model of cracks in concrete dams显示文摘The abnormality monitoring model (AMM) of cracks in concrete dams is established through integrating safety monitoring theories with abnormality diagnosis methods of cracks. In addition, emphasis is placed on the influence of crack depth on crack mouth opening displacement (CMOD). A linear hypothesis is proposed for the propagation process of cracks in concrete based on the fictitious crack model (FCM). Abnormality points are detected through testing methods of dynamical structure mutation and statistical model mutation. The solution of AMM is transformed into a global optimization problem, which is solved by the particle swarm optimization (PSO) method. Therefore, the AMM of cracks in concrete dams is established and solved completely. 8Optimization of endwall contouring in axial compressor S-shaped ducts显示文摘This paper presents a numerical investigation of the potential aerodynamic benefits of using endwall contouring in a fairly aggressive duct with six struts based on the platform for endwall design optimization.The platform is constructed by integrating adaptive genetic algorithm(AGA), design of experiments(DOE), response surface methodology(RSM) based on the artificial neural network(ANN), and a 3D Navier–Stokes solver.The visual analysis method based on DOE is used to define the design space and analyze the impact of the design parameters on the target function(response).Optimization of the axisymmetric and the non-axisymmetric endwall contouring in an S-shaped duct is performed and evaluated to minimize the total pressure loss.The optimal ducts are found to reduce the hub corner separation and suppress the migration of the low momentum fluid.The non-axisymmetric endwall contouring is shown to remove the separation completely and reduce the net duct loss by 32.7%.Jin Donghai Liu Xiwu Zhao Weiguang Gui Xingmin 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,4:7
9Aging behavior and fatigue crack propagation of high Zn-containing Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys with zinc variation显示文摘In the present work, the influence of two-step aging treatments on hardness, electrical conductivity and mechanical properties of two high Zn-containing Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys with zinc content variation was investigated and the detailed T76 aging parameters were proposed. The microstructure of the precipitates were studied by transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HREM) and then quantitatively investigated with the aid of an image analysis. The fatigue performances were researched by the fatigue crack propagation(FCP) rate test and fracture morphology was observed with scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The results show that the matrix precipitate size distributions of both alloys had significant difference, so as to fatigue crack propagation rates and fracture appearance. The shear and bypass mechanisms of dislocation-precipitate interactions were employed to explain the difference. Among the shearable precipitates, the proportion of larger size precipitates for the higher zinc content alloy is bigger than that for the lower zinc content alloy. The coarse shearable precipitates hinder the propagation of the fatigue cracks, leading to inferior FCP rate. 10Drag increment due to internal waves generated by Rankine ovoid显示文摘The experimental results on drag increment caused by internal waves, which are generated by a Rankine ovoid towed horizontally at constant velocities in a two-layer stratified water (a strong pycnocline) initially at rest, are presented. The drag increment due to stratification is obtained experimentally as a function of internal Froude number Frd and Reynolds number Re. From the results, it is shown that as a function of Frd or Re, an increment in mean drag coefficient due to stratification ΔCd has both increasing and decreasing region attributable respectively to internal wave and to collapse of mixing fluids in the wakes. 11Genome-wide identification and expression analyses of cytochrome P450 genes in mulberry(Morus notabilis)显示文摘Cytochrome P450 S play critical roles in the biosynthesis of physiologically important compounds in plants.These compounds often act as defense toxins to prevent herbivory.In the present study,a total of 174 P450 genes of mulberry(Morus notabilis C.K.Schn) were identified based on bioinformatics analyses.These mulberry P450 genes were divided into nine clans and 47 families and were found to be expressed in a tissue-preferential manner.These genes were compared to the P450 genes in Arabidopsis thaliana.Families CYP80,CYP92,CYP728,CYP733,CYP736,and CYP749 were found to exist in mulberry,and they may play important roles in the biosynthesis of mulberry secondary metabolites.Analyses of the functional and metabolic pathways of these genes indicated that mulberry P450 genes may participate in the metabolism of lipids,other secondary metabolites,xenobiotics,amino acids,cofactors,vitamins,terpenoids,and poiyketides.These results provide a foundation for understanding of the structures and biological functions of mulberry P450 genes.Bi Ma Yiwei Luo Ling Jia Xiwu Qi Qiwei Zeng Zhonghuai Xiang Ningjia He 2014Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2014,56,9:5
12Resistance and fitness costs in diamondback moths after selection using broflanilide, a novel meta-diamide insecticide显示文摘The diamondback moth (DBM) Plutella xylostella (L.) (Lepidoptera: Plutellidae) is an insect pest found around the world that feeds on cruciferous crops. The DBM has become resistant to most insecticides in current use in the field. Broflanilide is a novel meta-diamide insecticide that binds to a new site on the γ-aminobutyric acid receptor and very efficiently protects against most pests in the order Lepidoptera, including DBM. In this study, the resistance of a laboratory-bred susceptible strain of DBM to broflanilide and the fitness costs posed by broflanilide to the DBM were evaluated. The DBM had no obvious resistance to broflanilide after 10 generations of selection. The realized heritability h2 was 0.033, suggesting a low risk of resistance developing in this strain. The F10 generation had no cross-resistance to the insecticides abamectin and endosulfan (which target the γ-aminobutyric acid receptor) and chlorantraniliprole (which targets a non-γ-aminobutyric acid receptor). The specific activities of important detoxification enzymes (cytochrome P450 monooxygenase, esterase, and glutathione S-transferase) were not obviously altered. However, the larval stage was prolonged and the adult stage was shortened significantly in F11 generation than the F0 generation. The total preoviposition period TPOP significantly prolonged 1.90 d in F11 generation. The fitness value Rf (0.93) was lower for the F11 generation than the F0 generation. The results indicated that long-term exposure to broflanilide exerts clear fitness costs in the DBM. 13Investigation of Non-Axisymmetric Endwall Contouring in a Compressor Cascade显示文摘The current paper presents experimental and computational results to assess the effectiveness of non-axisymmetric endwall contouring in a compressor linear cascade. The endwall was designed by an endwall design optimization platform at 0° incidence(design condition). The optimization method is based on a genetic algorithm. The design objective was to minimize the total pressure losses. The experiments were carried out in a compressor cascade at a low-speed test facility with a Mach number of 0.15. Four nominal inlet flow angles were chosen to test the performance of non-axisymmetric Contoured Endwall(CEW). A five-hole pressure probe with a head diameter of 2 mm was used to traverse the downstream flow fields of the flat-endwall(FEW) and CEW cascades.Both the measured and predicted results indicated that the implementation of CEW results in smaller corner stall,and reduction of total pressure losses. The CEW gets 15.6% total pressure loss coefficient reduction at design condition, and 22.6% at off-design condition(+7° incidence). 15The spatio-temporal variation of wintertime subtidal currents in the western Taiwan Strait显示文摘A new data set of observations by six cruises of ship-mounted acoustic doppler current profiler(SADCP) and three 40 d long bottom-mounted ADCPs(BADCPs) is employed to reveal the spatiotemporal variability of tidal and subtidal currents in the western Taiwan Strait(TWS) during winter season. The results confirm the existence of intense cotidal lines for M_2 tidal current, which is located north of 25°N. In this case, no existence of an amphidromic point can be identified. It is also revealed that the counter-wind current(CWC) can extend through the whole western TWS and even occupy the entire water column during winter monsoon relaxation. However,this CWC is observed to be thoroughly overwhelmed by the downwind China coastal current(CCC) during the two big monsoon bloom events in the winter of 2007, and the CCC consequently extends southward throughout the western TWS instead. 16TransCrowd:weakly-supervised crowd counting with transformers显示文摘The mainstream crowd counting methods usually utilize the convolution neural network(CNN)to regress a density map,requiring point-level annotations.However,annotating each person with a point is an expensive and laborious process.During the testing phase,the point-level annotations are not considered to evaluate the counting accuracy,which means the point-level annotations are redundant.Hence,it is desirable to develop weakly-supervised counting methods that just rely on count-level annotations,a more economical way of labeling.Current weakly-supervised counting methods adopt the CNN to regress a total count of the crowd by an image-to-count paradigm.However,having limited receptive fields for context modeling is an intrinsic limitation of these weakly-supervised CNN-based methods.These methods thus cannot achieve satisfactory performance,with limited applications in the real world.The transformer is a popular sequence-to-sequence prediction model in natural language processing(NLP),which contains a global receptive field.In this paper,we propose TransCrowd,which reformulates the weakly-supervised crowd counting problem from the perspective of sequence-to-count based on transformers.We observe that the proposed TransCrowd can effectively extract the semantic crowd information by using the self-attention mechanism of transformer.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first work to adopt a pure transformer for crowd counting research.Experiments on five benchmark datasets demonstrate that the proposed TransCrowd achieves superior performance compared with all the weakly-supervised CNN-based counting methods and gains highly competitive counting performance compared with some popular fully-supervised counting methods.Dingkang LIANG Xiwu CHEN Wei XU Yu ZHOU Xiang BAI 2022Science China(Information Sciences)2022,65,6:5
17Seismic rock physical modelling for gas hydrate-bearing sediments显示文摘There are ambiguities and uncertainties in the recognition of gas hydrate seismic reflections and in quantitative predictions of physical information of natural gas hydrate reservoirs from seismic data. Rock physical modelling is a bridge that transforms the seismic information of geophysical observations into physical information, but traditional rock physics models lack descriptions of reservoir micro-structures and pore-filling materials. Considering the mineral compositions and pore microstructures of gas hydrates, we built rock physical models for load-bearing and pore-filling gas hydrate-bearing sediments,describe the mineral compositions, pore connectivity and pore shape using effective media theory, calculated the shear properties of pore-filling gas hydrates using Patchy saturation theory and Generalized Gassmann theory, and then revealed the quantitative relation between the elastic parameters and physical parameters for gas hydrate-bearing sediments. The numerical modelling results have shown that the ratios of P-wave and S-wave velocities decrease with hydrate saturation, the P-wave and S-wave velocities of load-bearing gas hydrate-bearing sediments are more sensitive to hydrate saturation, sensitivity is higher with narrower pores, and the ratios of the P-wave and S-wave velocities of pore-filling gas hydrate-bearing sediments are more sensitive to shear properties of hydrates at higher hydrate saturations. 18Pre-aging on early-age behavior and bake hardening response of an Al-0.90Mg-0.80Si-0.64Zn-0.23Cu alloy显示文摘Pre-aging on early-age behavior and bake hardening response of an Al-0.90Mg-0.80Si-0.64 Zn alloy was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM), 3-dimensional atom probe(3DAP), Erichsen test and tensile test. The results indicated that pre-aged alloy exhibited excellent formability and bake-hardening response, while bake hardening response was poor in samples with natural aging. Clustering behavior during natural aging was inhibited by pre-aging. Numerous GP zones formed in pre-aged samples. GP zones were the nuclei of β′′ precipitates or directly transformed β′′ phases during paint baking process. A large number of β′′ phases were observed in pre-aged samples after paint bake treatment. 20Identification and characterization of genes involved in the jasmonate biosynthetic and signaling pathways in mulberry(Morus notabilis)显示文摘Jasmonate(JA) is an important phytohormone regulating growth, development, and environmental response in plants, particularly defense response against herbivorous insects. Recently, completion of the draft genome of the mulberry(Morus notabilis) in conjunction with genome sequencing of silkworm(Bombyx mori) provides an opportunity to study this unique plant‐herbivore interaction. Here, we identified genes involved in JA biosynthetic and signaling pathways in the genome of mulberry for the first time, with the majority of samples showing a tissue‐biased expression pattern. The analysis of the representative genes 12‐oxophytodienoic acid reductase(OPRs) and jasmonate ZIM‐domain(JAZs) was performed and the results indicated that the mulberry genome contains a relatively small number of JA biosynthetic and signaling pathway genes. A gene encoding animportant repressor, MnNINJA, was identified as an alternative splicing variant lacking an ethylene‐responsive element binding factor‐associated amphiphilic repression motif.
