Forest types,and even tree species,are dependent on the degree of fire intensity,fire size,depthof burn and fire frequency.Selected samples of larch,birch and spruce forest were studied interms of speeies composition as determined by fire frequency which mainly depends on toporgraphyand site conditions .Intervals between fires range between 6 and 170 years. | Johann G.
