Stratum energy of coal-bed gas reservoir and their control on the coal-bed gas reservoir formation显示文摘Stratum energy of coal-bed gas reservoir, including coal-radix flexibility energy, groundwater flexibility energy and gas flexibility energy (hereinafter 'three energy'), depends on the energy homeostasis system, the core process of which is the effective transfer of energy and the geological selective process. Combining with the mechanics experimentations of coal samples, different flexibility energy has been analyzed and researched quantificationally, and a profound discussion to their controls on the coal-bed gas reservoir formation has been made. It is shown that when gas reservoir is surrounded by edge water and bottom water, the deposited energy in the early phase of forming gas reservoir is mostly coal-radix and gas flexibility energy, but the effect of groundwater flexibility energy increases while water-body increases. The deposited energy in the middle and later phase of forming gas reser voir is mostly gas flexibility energy, which is greater than 80% of all deposited energy. In the whole process, larger groundwater body exerts greater influences on gas accumulation. The paper indicated that higher stratum energy is more propitious to forming coal-bed gas reservoir. And higher coal-radix flexibility energy and gas flexibility energy are more propitious to higher yield of gas reservoirs, while higher groundwater flexibility energy is more propitious to stable yield of gas reservoirs. Therefore, the key to evaluating the coal-bed gas reservoir formation is the stratum energy of coal-bed gas reservoir.WU CaiFang QIN Yong FU XueHai 2007Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,9:9
Self-adjusted elastic action and its CBM pool-forming effect of the high rank coal reservoir显示文摘The coal reservoir is a kind of geologic body with considerable elasticity, and its response to stress is more sensitive than the routine ones. In the pool-forming process of the coalbed methane, (CBM) the action of many external geodynamic factors in the coal reservoir is represented by the ability of CBM’s diffusion and migration in the coal reservoir. Therefore, the occurrence of the natural fissures in the coal reservoir becomes a key that determines whether the CBM pool can be formed or not. Based on the principle, the authors have designed a comprehensive method of physical modeling to study the elasticity of the coal matrix block with different coal ranks in the light of the solid to fluid coupling, have established the model of the volume deformation (self-adjusted elastic effect) of the coal reservoir under the condition of the effective stress-adsorption/desorption, and have obtained a correct understanding of the law of the elastic deformation. Afterwards, a new viewpoint, named as the self-closing elastic effect for forming the CBM pool in the high rank reservoir, is put forward, providing an initial point and a scientific basis for a further investigation into its dynamic factors, possible mechanism and role in the CBM energy-balancing system.QIN Yong FU Xuehai WU Caifang FU Guoyou BU Yingying 2005Chinese Science Bulletin2005,50,S1:9
White Matter Deficits Underlying the Impaired Consciousness Level in Patients with Disorders of Consciousness显示文摘In this study, we aimed to(1) identify white matter(WM) deficits underlying the consciousness level in patients with disorders of consciousness(DOCs) using diffusion tensor imaging(DTI), and(2) evaluate the relationship between DTI metrics and clinical measures of the consciousness level in DOC patients. With a cohort of 8 comatose, 8 unresponsive wakefulness syndrome/vegetative state, and 14 minimally conscious state patients and 25 patient controls, we performed group comparisons of the DTI metrics in 48 core WM regions of interest(ROIs), and examined the clinical relevance using correlation analysis. We identified multiple abnormal WM ROIs in DOC patients compared with normal controls, and the DTI metrics in these ROIs were significantly correlated with clinical measures of the consciousness level. Therefore, our findings suggested that multiple WM tracts are involved in the impaired consciousness levels in DOC patients and demonstrated the clinical relevance of DTI for DOC patients.Xuehai Wu Jiaying Zhang Zaixu Cui Weijun Tang Chunhong Shao Jin Hu Jianhong Zhu Yao Zhao Lu Lu Gang Chen Georg Northoff Gaolang Gong Ying Mao Yong He 2018Neuroscience Bulletin2018,34,4:8
Neuroimage-Based Consciousness Evaluation of Patients with Secondary Doubtful Hydrocephalus Before and After Lumbar Drainage显示文摘Hydrocephalus is often treated with a cerebrospinal fluid shunt(CFS) for excessive amounts of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain. However,it is very difficult to distinguish whether the ventricular enlargement is due to hydrocephalus or other causes, such as brain atrophy after brain damage and surgery. The non-trivial evaluation of the consciousness level, along with a continuous drainage test of the lumbar cistern is thus clinically important before the decision for CFS is made.We studied 32 secondary mild hydrocephalus patients with different consciousness levels, who received T1 and diffusion tensor imaging magnetic resonance scans before and after lumbar cerebrospinal fluid drainage. We applied a novel machine-learning method to find the most discriminative features from the multi-modal neuroimages. Then,we built a regression model to regress the JFK Coma Recovery Scale-Revised(CRS-R) scores to quantify the level of consciousness. The experimental results showed that our method not only approximated the CRS-R scores but also tracked the temporal changes in individual patients. The regression model has high potential for the evaluation of consciousness in clinical practice.Jiayu Huo Zengxin Qi Sen Chen Qian Wang Xuehai Wu Di Zang Tanikawa Hiromi Jiaxing Tan Lichi Zhang Weijun Tang Dinggang Shen 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,9:7
Microglia-Derived NLRP3 Activation Mediates the Pressor Effect of Prorenin in the Rostral Ventrolateral Medulla of Stress-Induced Hypertensive Rats显示文摘Increased microglial activation and neuroinflammation within autonomic brain regions such as the rostral ventrolateral medulla(RVLM)have been implicated in stress-induced hypertension(SIH).Prorenin,a member of the brain renin-angiotensin system(RAS),can directly activate microglia. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of prorenin on microglial activation in the RVLM of SIH rats.Rats were subjected to intermittent electric foot-shocks plus noise, this stress was administered for 2 h twice daily for 15 consecutive days, and mean arterial pressure(MAP)and renal sympathetic nerve activity(RSNA)were monitored. The results showed that MAP and RSNA were augmented, and this paralleled increased pro-inflammatory phenotype(M1)switching.Prorenin and its receptor(PRR)expression and the NLR family pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3)activation were increased in RVLM of SIH rats.In addition,PLX5622(a microglial depletion agent),MCC950(a NLRP3 inhibitor),and/or PRO20(a(Pro)renin receptor antagonist)had antihypertensive effects in the rats. The NLRP3 expression in the RVLM was decreased in SIH rats treated with PLX5622.Mito-tracker staining showed translocation of NLRP3 from mitochondria to the cytoplasm in proreninstimulated microglia.Prorenin increased the ROS-triggering M1 phenotype-switching and NLRP3 activation, while MCC950 decreased the M1 polarization. In conclusion, upregulated prorenin in the RVLM may be involved in the pathogenesis of SIH,mediated by activation of the microglia-derived NLRP3 inflammasome. The link between prorenin and NLRP3 in microglia provides insights for the treatment of stress-related hypertension.Li Hu Shutian Zhang Kokwin Ooi Xuehai Wu Jiaxiang Wu Jian Cai Yinggang Sun Jijiang Wang Danian Zhu Fuxue Chen Chunmei Xia 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,5:3

Eye-Opening Alters the Interaction Between the Salience Network and the Default-Mode Network显示文摘Dear Editor,Brain networks consist of several long-distance regions that interact constantly with each other.Interactions between networks suggest that different brain functions are coordinated during complex cognitive tasks[1].A triple-network mechanism underlying cognitive control has been found across task paradigms and stimulus modalities[2].This triple-network mechanism includes the interactions among the salience network(SN),the default mode network(DMN),and the central executive network(CEN).Junrong Han Xuehai Wu Hang Wu Dong Wang Xuan She Musi Xie Fang Zhang Delong Zhang Xilin Zhang Pengmin Qin 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,12:1

COVID-19 vaccine uptake and its determinants among teenagers and their parents in Zhejiang, China: An online cross-sectional study显示文摘Objective:To examine COVID-19 vaccine uptake and its determinants among teenagers and their parents in Zhejiang,China. Methods:An online cross-sectional study was conducted among parents of teenagers in Zhejiang,China from May 1 to 31,2022.Data were interpreted via univariate and multivariate analyses using the statistical package for the social sciences(SPSS)program. Results:A total of 11115(96.11%)participants and 11449(99.00%)of their children in Zhejiang,China had been vaccinated against COVID-19.Children whose parents did not receive COVID-19 vaccination were 19 times(aOR 18.96,95%CI 12.36-29.08)more likely to be unvaccinated than their counterparts. In addition, children with no previous influenza vaccination, those whose parents doubted the COVID-19 vaccine’s safety or effectiveness, were 6.11 times(aOR 6.11,95%CI 2.80-13.34),8.27 times(aOR 8.27,95%CI 5.33-12.83),and 2.69 times(aOR 2.69,95%CI 1.11-6.50)more likely to be unvaccinated than their counterparts,respectively.COVID-19 vaccine uptake varied between different sociodemographic groups. However, the odds of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine decreased as age and education level increased. The main refusal reasons claimed by participants were that they had medical conditions that may not qualify them for vaccination(53.78%),followed by safety concerns about the vaccine(13.56%),not knowing where to get vaccinated(6.44%),and concerns about fertility issues(5.56%).Conclusions:Despite a highly encouraging level of COVID-19 vaccine uptake in Zhejiang,China, the elderly and highly educated people had lower COVID-19 vaccine uptake. It is suggested that tailored health education strategies should be taken to increase the COVID-19 vaccine uptake in such groups.Furthermore, with vaccination rates at such a high level, the pandemic is still ongoing, and public confidence in vaccines may decline. Thus, sufficient evidence-based information regarding COVID-19 vaccines should be provided to the public.Yu Huang Qingqing Wu Shuiyang Xu Xiang Zhao Lei Wang Qiaohong Lv Suxian Wu Xuehai Zhang 2023Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2023,16,4:0
