| 1 | PdAg bimetallic electrocatalyst for highly selective reduction of CO2 with low COOH^* formation energy and facile CO desorption显示文摘For electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 to CO,the stabilization of intermediate COOH^* and the desorption of CO^* are two key steps.Pd can easily stabilize COOH^*,whereas the strong CO^* binding to Pd surface results in severe poisoning,thus lowering catalytic activity and stability for CO2 reduction.On Ag surface,CO^* desorbs readily,while COOH^* requires a relatively high formation energy,leading to a high overpotential.In light of the above issues,we successfully designed the PdAg bimetallic catalyst to circumvent the drawbacks of sole Pd and Ag.The PdAg catalyst with Ag-terminated surface not only shows a much lower overpotential(-0.55 V with CO current density of 1 mA/cm^2)than Ag(−0.76 V),but also delivers a CO/H2 ratio 18 times as high as that for Pd at the potential of-0.75 V vs.RHE.The issue of CO poisoning is significantly alleviated on Ag-terminated PdAg surface,with the stability well retained after 4h electrolysis at-0.75 V vs.RHE.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the Ag-terminated PdAg surface features a lowered formation energy for COOH^* and weakened adsorption for CO^*,which both contribute to the enhanced performance for CO2 reduction. | Rui Lin Xuelu Ma Weng-Chon Cheong Chao Zhang Wei Zhu Jiajing Pei Kaiyue Zhang Bin Wang Shiyou Liang Yuxi Liu Zhongbin Zhuang Rong Yu Hai Xiao Jun Li Dingsheng Wang Qing Peng Chen Chen Yadong Li | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,11: | 7 |

| 3 | Analysis of Abnormal Characteristics of Regional Crustal Deformation before the Menyuan MS6.4 Earthquake by GPS Continuous Data显示文摘In order to study the characteristics of crustal deformation around the epicenter before the 2016 M_S6. 4 Menyuan earthquake,the GPS continuous stations of the period from 2010 to 2016 were selected according to the observation data of the tectonic environment monitoring network in Chinese Mainland. The deformation characteristics of the crust before the earthquake were discussed through inter-station baseline time series analysis and the strain time series analysis in the epicentral region. The results show that a trend turn of the baseline movement state around the epicenter region occurred after 2014,and the movement after 2014 reflects an obvious decreasing trend of compressional deformation.During this period,the stress field energy was in a certain accumulation state. Since the beginning of 2014,the EW-component linear strain and surface strain rate weakened gradually before the earthquake. It shows that there was an obvious deformation deficit at the epicentral area in the past two years,which indicates that the region accumulated a high degree of strain energy before the earthquake. Therefore,there was a significant background change in the area before the earthquake. | 7 | Single-atomic Mn sites coupled with Fe_(3)C nanoparticles encapsulated in carbon matrixes derived from bimetallic Mn/Fe polyphthalocyanine conjugated polymer networks for accelerating electrocatalytic oxygen reduction显示文摘The construction of robust coupling catalysts for accelerating electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)through the modulation of the electronic structure and local atomic configuration is critical but remains challenging.Herein,we report a facile and effective isolation-polymerization-pyrolysis(IPP)strategy for high-precision synthesis of single-atomic Mn sites coupled with Fe_(3)C nanoparticles encapsulated in N-doped porous carbon matrixes(Mn SAs/Fe_(3)C NPs@NPC)catalyst derived from predesigned bimetallic Fe/Mn polyphthalocyanine(FeMn-BPPc)conjugated polymer networks by solid-phase reaction approach.Benefiting from the synergistic effects between the single-atomic Mn-N_(4)sites and Fe_(3)C NPs as well as the confinement effect of NPC,the Mn SAs/Fe_(3)C NPs@NPC catalyst exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity and stability for ORR.The assembled Znair battery displayed larger power density of 186 mW·cm^(−2)than that of Pt/C+Ir/C-based battery.It also exhibits excellent stability without obvious voltage change after 106 cycles with 36 h.Combing in-situ Raman spectra with in-situ attenuated total reflectance surface-enhanced infrared absorption spectroscopy(ATR-SEIRAS)characterization results indicated that the Mn-N_(4)site as an active site for the O_(2)adsorption-activation process,which effectively facilitates the generation of key*OOH intermediates and*OH desorption to promote the multielectron reaction kinetics.Theoretical calculation reveals that the excellent electrocatalytic performance originates from the charge redistribution and the d orbital shift resulting from Mn-Fe bond,which buffers the activity of ORR through the electron reservoir capable of electron donation or releasing.This work paves a novel IPP strategy for constructing high-performance coupling electrocatalyst towards the ORR for energy conversion devices. | Yuan Pan Min Li Wanliang Mi Minmin Wang Junxi Li Yilin Zhao Xuelu Ma Bin Wang Wei Zhu Zhiming Cui Hailiang Yin Yunqi Liu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,9: | 0 |
| 8 | Optimal Design for a Retrial Queueing System with State-Dependent Service Rate显示文摘This paper considers a single server retrial queue in which a state-dependent service policy is adopted to control the service rate. Customers arrive in the system according to a Poisson process and the service times and inter-retrial times are all exponentially distributed. If the number of customers in orbit is equal to or less than a certain threshold, the service rate is set in a low value and it also can be switched to a high value once this number exceeds the threshold. The stationary distribution and two performance measures are obtained through the partial generating functions. It is shown that this state-dependent service policy degenerates into a classic retrial queueing system without control policy under some conditions.
