2Study on the morphology, crystalline structure and thermal properties of yam starch acetates with different degrees of substitution显示文摘This study was carried out to understand and establish the changes in physicochemical properties of starch extracted from Chinese yam (Dioscorea opposita Thunb.) after acetylation. Yam starch acetates with different degrees of substitution (DS) were prepared by the reaction of yam starch with glacial acetic acid/acetic anhydride using sulfuric acid as the catalyst. Their formation was confirmed by the presence of the carbonyl signal around 1750 cm-1 in the Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra. The thermal behavior of the native starch and starch acetate were investigated using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results reveal that the starch acetates are more thermally stable than the native starch. The starch esters showed 50% weight loss at tem- peratures from 328℃ to 372 ℃ , while the native starch underwent 50% weight loss at 325℃ . The glass transition temperature (Tg) of the starch decreased from 273℃ to 226℃. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns could be classified as typical of the C-type for yam starch. X-ray diffraction also showed the loss of the ordered C-type starch crystalline structure and the degree of crystallinity of starch de- creased from 36.10% to 10.96% with the increasing DS. 4Properties of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Husk Fibers With Chemical Treatment for Applications in Polymer Composites显示文摘Surface science of natural fibers plays an important role in polymer/natural fiber composites. The Xanthoceras sorbifolia husk fibers were selected and chemically treated by sodium hydroxide(Na OH) solution,coupling agents,their combination,and the mixtures of acetic acid with hydrogen peroxide,respectively. 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(KH550),γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxylsilane(KH570) and organic titanate(JN-9A) were used as coupling agents in this work. Cellulose content was found to be increased after alkalization due to the removal of the non-cellulose substances,which was evidenced by attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared(ATR e FTIR) spectroscopy spectrum analysis and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) measurements. The highest cellulose content was obtained in the bleached fibers. TGA analysis revealed an improvement in thermal stability of the treated fibers,especially for alkali-KH570 treated fibers. 8Plasma-electrified up-carbonization for low-carbon clean energy显示文摘Low-value,renewable,carbon-rich resources,with different biomass feedstocks and their derivatives as typical examples,represent virtually inexhaustive carbon sources and carbon-related energy on Earth.Upon conversion to higher-value forms(referred to as“up-carbonization”here),these abundant feedstocks provide viable opportunities for energy-rich fuels and sustainable platform chemicals production.However,many of the current methods for such up-carbonization still lack sufficient energy,cost,and material efficiency,which affect their economics and carbon-emissions footprint.With external electricity precisely delivered,discharge plasmas enable many stubborn reactions to occur under mild conditions,by creating locally intensified and highly reactive environments.This technology emerges as a novel,versatile technology platform for integrated or stand-alone conversion of carbon-rich resources.The plasma-based processes are compatible for integration with increasingly abundant and cost-effective renewable electricity,making the whole conversion carbon-neutral and further paving the plasma-electrified upcarbonization to be performance-,environment-,and economics-viable.Despite the chief interest in this emerging area,no review article brings together the state-of-the-art results from diverse disciplines and underlies basic mechanisms and chemistry underpinned.As such,this review aims to fill this gap and provide basic guidelines for future research and transformation,by providing an overview of the application of plasma techniques for carbon-rich resource conversion,with particular focus on the perspective of discharge plasmas,the fundamentals of why plasmas are particularly suited for upcarbonization,and featured examples of plasma-enabled resource valorization.With parallels drawn and specificity highlighted,we also discuss the technique shortcomings,current challenges,and research needs for future work.Rusen Zhou Yadong Zhao Renwu Zhou Tianqi Zhang Patrick Cullen Yao Zheng Liming Dai Kostya(Ken)Ostrikov 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,1:2

11The effects of a new shape-memory alloy interspinous process device on the distribution of intervertebral disc pressures in vitro显示文摘This study was designed to measure the pressure distribution of the intervertebral disc under different degrees of distraction of the interspinous process, because of a suspicion that the degree of distraction of the spinous process may have a close relationship with the disc load share. Six human cadaver lumbar spine L2-L5 segments were loaded in flexion, neutral position, and extension. The L3-L4 disc load was measured at each position using pressure measuring films. Shape-memory interspinous process implants (SMID) with different spacer heights, ranging in size from 10 to 20 mm at 2 mm increments, were used. It was found that a SMID with a spacer height equal to the distance of the interspinous process in the neutral position can share the biomechanical disc load without a significant change of load in the anterior annulus. 14Surface Passivation and Energetic Modification Suppress Nonradiative Recombination in Perovskite Solar Cells显示文摘Surface passivation via post-treatment is an important strategy for improving power conversion efficiency and operational stability of perovskite solar cells.However,so far the interaction mechanisms between passivating additive and perovskite are not well understood.Here,we report the atomic-scale interaction of surface passivating additive 2,2-difluoroethylammonium bromine(2FEABr)on the MAPbI_(3).It is found that the bulky 2FEA+cations tend to distribute at film surface,while the Br−anions diffuse from surface into bulk.A combination of 19F,207Pb,and 2H solid-state NMR further reveal the Br−anions’partial substitution for the I−sites,the restricted motion of partial MA+cations,and the firmed perovskite lattices,which would improve charge transport and stability of the perovskite films.Optical spectroscopy and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy demonstrate that the 2FEABr induced surface passivation and energetic modification suppress the nonradiative recombination loss.These findings enable the efficiency of the p-i-n structured PSC significantly increasing from 19.44 to 21.06%,accompanied by excellent stability.Our work further establishes more knowledge link between passivating additive and PSC performance.Wei Dong Wencheng Qiao Shaobing Xiong Jianming Yang Xuelu Wang Liming Ding Yefeng Yao Qinye Bao 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,7:2
15Determination of paraquat in water samples using a sensitive fluorescent probe titration method显示文摘Paraquat(PQ),a nonselective herbicide,is non-fluorescent in aqueous solutions.Thus,its determination through direct fluorescent methods is not feasible.The supramolecular inclusion interaction of PQ with cucurbit[7]uril was studied by a fluorescent probe titration method.Significant quenching of the fluorescence intensity of the cucurbit[7]uril-coptisine fluorescent probe was observed with the addition of PQ.A new fluorescent probe titration method with high selectivity and sensitivity at the ng/mL level was developed to determine PQ in aqueous solutions with good precision and accuracy based on the significant quenching of the supramolecular complex fluorescence intensity.The proposed method was successfully used in the determination of PQ in lake water,tap water,well water,and ditch water in an agricultural area,with recoveries of 96.73% to 105.77%.The fluorescence quenching values(F) showed a good linear relationship with PQ concentrations from 1.0 × 108 to 1.2× 105 mol/L with a detection limit of 3.35 × 109 mol/L.In addition,the interaction models of the supramolecular complexes formed between the host and the guest were established using theoretical calculations.The interaction mechanism between the cucurbit[7]uril and PQ was confirmed by 1 H NMR spectroscopy.Feihu Yao Hailong Liu Guangquan Wang Liming Du Xiaofen Yin Yunlong Fu 2013Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,6:2

20Intermediates transformation for efficient perovskite solar cells显示文摘Perovskite materials have made a great progress in terms of the power conversion efficiency(PCE), rising from 3.8% to 25.2%. To obtain pinhole-free, superior crystal, and high-quality perovskite films with less defect, intermediates transformation is important, which has been clearly studied and widely applied.In this review, we systematically summarize the commonly formed intermediates and detailedly analyze their mechanisms from five aspects:(1) Solvent-induced intermediate;(2) HI-induced intermediate;(3)CH3NH2-induced intermediate;(4) MAAc-induced intermediate;(5) other intermediates.
