| 1 | Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation for hallucination in schizophrenia spectrum disorders A meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:This study assessed the efficacy and tolerability of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation for treatment of auditory hallucination of patients with schizophrenia spectrum disorders.DATA SOURCES:Online literature retrieval was conducted using PubMed,ISI Web of Science,EMBASE,Medline and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials databases from January1985 to May 2012.Key words were'transcranial magnetic stimulation','TMS','repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation',and'hallucination'.STUDY SELECTION:Selected studies were randomized controlled trials assessing therapeutic efficacy of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation for hallucination in patients with schizophrenia spectrum disorders.Experimental intervention was low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in left temporoparietal cortex for treatment of auditory hallucination in schizophrenia spectrum disorders.Control groups received sham stimulation.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:The primary outcome was total scores of Auditory Hallucinations Rating Scale,Auditory Hallucination Subscale of Psychotic Symptom Rating Scale,Positive and Negative Symptom Scale-Auditory Hallucination item,and Hallucination Change Scale.Secondary outcomes included response rate,global mental state,adverse effects and cognitive function.RESULTS:Seventeen studies addressing repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation for treatment of schizophrenia spectrum disorders were screened,with controls receiving sham stimulation.All data were completely effective,involving 398 patients.Overall mean weighted effect size for repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation versus sham stimulation was statistically significant(MD=–0.42,95%CI:–0.64 to–0.20,P=0.000 2).Patients receiving repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation responded more frequently than sham stimulation(OR=2.94,95%CI:1.39 to 6.24,P=0.005).No significant differences were found between active repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation and sham stimulation for positive or negative symptoms.Compared with sham stimulation,active repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation had equivocal outcome in cognitive function and commonly caused headache and facial muscle twitching.CONCLUSION:Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation is a safe and effective treatment for auditory hallucination in schizophrenia spectrum disorders. | Yingli Zhang Wei Liang Shichang Yang Ping Dai Lijuan Shen Changhong Wang | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,28: | 8 |
| 2 | Rb-Sr and Sm-Nd Isochron Ages of the Dongmozhazhua and Mohailaheng Pb-Zn Ore Deposits in the Yushu area, southern Qinghai and Their Geological Implications显示文摘Located on the northeast margin of the Qiangtang terrane between the Jinshajiang suture zone and Bangonghu-Nujiang suture zone, the Dongmozhazhua and Mohailaheng Pb-Zn deposits in the Yushu area of Qinghai Province are representative Pb-Zn deposits of the Pb-Zn-Cu polymetallic mineralization belt in the northern part of the Nujiang-Lancangjiang-Jinshajiang area, which are in the front belt of the Yushu thrust nappe system. The formed environments of these two deposits are different from those of sediment-hosted base metal deposits elsewhere in the world. The authors hold that they were formed during the Indian-Asian continental collision and developed within the foldthrust belt combined with thrust and strike-slip-related Cenozoic basins in the interior of the collisional zone. Studying on the metallogenic epochs of these two deposits is helpful to the understanding of ore-forming regularity of the regional Pb-Zn-Cu mineralization belt and also to the search for new deposits in this region. The age of the Dongmozhazhua deposit has been determined by the Rb-Sr isochron method for sphalerite residues, whereas the age of the Mohailaheng deposit has been determined by the Rb-Sr isochron method for sphalerite residues and the Sm-Nd isochron method for fluorite. The age of the Dongmozhazhua deposit is 35.0±0.0 Ma((87Sr/86Sr)0=0.708807) for sphalerite residues. The age of the Mohailaheng deposit is 32.2±0.4 Ma((87Sr/86Sr)0=0.708514) for sphalerite residues and 31.8±0.3 Ma((143Nd/144Nd)0=0.512362) for fluorite with an average of 32.0 Ma. Together with the regional geological setting during mineralization, a possible tectonic model for metallogeny of the Dongmozhazhua and Mohailaheng Pb-Zn deposits has been established. | 4 | Insular Cortex is Critical for the Perception, Modulation,and Chronification of Pain显示文摘An increasing body of neuroimaging and electrophysiological studies of the brain suggest that the insular cortex(IC) integrates multimodal salient information ranging from sensation to cognitive-affective events to create conscious interoception. Especially with regard to pain experience, the IC has been supposed to participate in both sensory-discriminative and affective-motivational aspects of pain. In this review, we discuss the latest data proposing that subregions of the IC are involved in isolated pain networks: the posterior sensory circuit and the anterior emotional network. Due to abundant connections with other brain areas, the IC is likely to serve as an interface where cross-modal shaping of pain occurs. In chronic pain,however, this mode of emotional awareness and the modulation of pain are disrupted. | 6 | Synthesis of Mesoporous Anatase TiO2 Sphere with High Surface Area and Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity显示文摘Mesoporous anatase TiO_2 spheres with high surface area(119 m^2g^(-1)) were successfully synthesized via a facile and green template-free method. The prepared TiO_2 was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),N_2 adsorption, scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and UV–vis absorbance spectra. It was found that the prepared TiO_2 is characterized by pure anatase phase, which shows uniform spheres and has a typical mesostructure with a high specific surface area and a large pore volume. The effects of complexant(acetylacetone) amount, crystallization temperature and calcination temperature were also investigated. Based on the results, a sketch for the preparation of mesoporous TiO_2 was proposed. First, complex formed between tetrabutyl titanate and acetylacetone in ethanol. After introduction of aqueous of ammonia sulfate and urea, hydrolysis of tetrabutyl titanate would occur slowly,and sol of TiO_2 was formed. Then, crystallization proceeded under hydrothermal conditions. Calcination process favored the formation of bigger TiO_2 crystal through combining of the small crystals in TiO_2.This led to the formation of bigger mesopores between TiO_2 crystals. | 7 | Effects of exogenous ABA application on post-anthesis dry matter redistribution and grain starch accumulation of winter wheat with different staygreen characteristics显示文摘The objective of this study was to investigate whether and how exogenous abscisic acid(ABA)is involved in mediating starch accumulation in the grain and redistribution of carbohydrates during grain filling of two wheat cultivars with different staygreen characteristics.At blooming stage,plants of Wennong 6(a staygreen cultivar)and Jimai 20(control)were sprayed with10 mg L-1abscisic acid(ABA)for 3 days.The application of ABA significantly(P<0.05)increased grain filling rate,starch accumulation rate and content,remobilization of dry matters to kernels,and 1000-grain weight of the two cultivars.Exogenous ABA markedly(P<0.05)increased grain yield at maturity,and Wennong 6 and Jiami 20 showed 14.14%and 4.86%higher compared yield than the control.Dry matter accumulation after anthesis of Wennong 6 was also significantly(P<0.05)influenced by exogenous ABA,whereas that of Jimai 20 was unchanged.Application of ABA increased endogenous zeatin riboside(ZR)content 7 days after anthesis(DAA),and spraying ABA significantly increased endogenous indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)and ABA contents from 7 to 21 DAA and decreased gibberellin(GA3)content at 14 DAA,but increased GA3content from 21 to 35 DAA.The results suggested that increased yield of staygreen was due to greater starch assimilation owing to a higher filling rate and longer grain-filling duration. | Dongqing Yang Yongli Luo Yingli Ni Yanping Yin Weibing Yang Dianliang Peng Zhengyong Cui Zhenlin Wang | 2014 | The Crop Journal2014,2,Z1: | 3 |
| 8 | Antidepressants for bipolar disorder A meta-analysis of randomized, double-blind, controlled trials显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To examine the efficacy and safety of short-term and long-term use of antidepressants in the treatment of bipolar disorder.DATA SOURCES:A literature search of randomized,double-blind,controlled trials published until December 2012 was performed using the PubMed,ISI Web of Science,Medline and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials databases.The keywords'bipolar disorder,bipolar I disorder,bipolar II disorder,bipolar mania,bipolar depression,cyclothymia,mixed mania and depression,rapid cycling and bipolar disorder',AND'antidepressant agent,antidepressive agents secondgeneration,antidepressive agents tricyclic,monoamine oxidase inhibitor,noradrenaline uptake inhibitor,serotonin uptake inhibitor,and tricyclic antidepressant agent'were used.The studies that were listed in the reference list of the published papers but were not retrieved in the above-mentioned databases were supplemented.STUDY SELECTION:Studies selected were double-blind randomized controlled trials assessing the efficacy and safety of antidepressants in patients with bipolar disorder.All participants were aged 18 years or older,and were diagnosed as having primary bipolar disorder.Antidepressants or antidepressants combined with mood stabilizers were used in experimental interventions.Placebos,mood stabilizers,antipsychotics and other antide pressants were used in the control interventions.Studies that were quasi-randomized studies,or used antidepressants in combination with antipsychotics in the experimental group were excluded.All analyses were conducted using Review Manager 5.1 provided by the Cochrane Collaboration.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:The primary outcome was the response and switching to mania.The secondary outcomes included remission,discontinuation rate,and suicidality.RESULTS:Among 5 001 treatment studies published,14 double-blind randomized controlled trials involving 1 244 patients were included in the meta-analysis.Eleven short-term studies and three maintenance studies were included.Studies suggested that patients treated with antidepressants were not significantly more likely to achieve higher response and remission rates in the short-term or long-term treatment than patients treated with placebo and other medications.Antidepressants were not associated with an increased risk of discontinuation,relapse or suicidality.When one antidepressant was compared with another,no significant difference in efficacy and tolerability was found.CONCLUSION:Existing evidence of efficacy does not support the short-term or long-term application of antidepressant therapy in patients with bipolar disorder,although the tolerability and safety of antidepressants have been generally acknowledged.There is a need for large-sample,double-blind,randomized controlled trials to elucidate the role of antidepressants in patients with different subcategories of bipolar disorder. | Yingli Zhang Huan Yang Shichang Yang Wei Liang Ping Dai Changhong Wang Yalin Zhang | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,31: | 3 |

| 11 | Study of magnetic and magneto-optical properties of heavily doped bismuth substitute yttrium iron garnet (Bi∶YIG) film显示文摘The magnetic and magneto-optical properties of heavily doped Bi∶YIG film were studied. The film was deposited by radio frequency magnetron sputtering method and crystallized by rapid recurrent thermal annealing (RRTA). The results show that the RRTA treated film has good properties both in microwave and optical wave band. The saturation magnetization of the film on different substrates varies from 135.7 to 138.6 kA·m-1. The coercive field of the film on GGG substrate is about 0.32 kA·m-1, while about 0.8-1.43 kA·m-1 on YAG substrate and 1.75 kA·m-1 on Al2O3 substrate. The Faraday angle is about 3-5 (°)·μm-1 when optical wavelength ranges at 450-600 nm. The transmission spectra of the Bi∶YIG films on three substrates has similar change as annealing temperature below 800 ℃. | 12 | Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells Are Sensitive to DNA Damage显示文摘Induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)resemble embryonic stem cells(ESCs)in morphology,gene expression and in vitro differentiation,raising new hope for personalized clinical therapy.While many efforts have been made to improve reprogramming effciency,signifcant problems such as genomic instability of iPSCs need to be addressed before clinical therapy.In this study,we try to fgure out the real genomic state of iPSCs and their DNA damage response to ionizing radiation(IR).We found that iPSC line 3FB4-1 had lower DNA damage repair ability than mouse embryonic fbroblast(MEF)cells,from which 3FB4-1line was derived.After the introduction of DNA damage by IR,the number of c-H2AX foci in 3FB4-1 increased modestly compared to a large increase seen in MEF,albeit both signifcantly(P<0.01).In addition,whole-genome sequencing analysis showed that after IR,3FB4-1 possessed more point mutations than MEF and the point mutations spread all over chromosomes.These observations provide evidence that iPSCs are more sensitive to ionizing radiation and their relatively low DNA damage repair capacity may account for their high radiosensitivity.The compromised DNA damage repair capacity of iPSCs should be considered when used in clinical therapy. | Minjie Zhang Caiyun Yang Huixian Liu Yingli Sun | 2013 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2013,11,5: | 2 |

| 15 | Metagenomic insights into the effects of submerged plants on functional potential of microbial communities in wetland sediments显示文摘Submerged plants in wetlands play important roles as ecosystem engineers to improve self-purification and promote elemental cycling.However,their effects on the functional capacity of microbial communities in wetland sediments remain poorly understood.Here,we provide detailed metagenomic insights into the biogeochemical potential of microbial communities in wetland sediments with and without submerged plants(i.e.,Vallisneria natans).A large number of functional genes involved in carbon(C),nitrogen(N)and sulfur(S)cycling were detected in the wetland sediments.However,most functional genes showed higher abundance in sediments with submerged plants than in those without plants.Based on the comparison of annotated functional genes in the N and S cycling databases(i.e.,NCycDB and SCycDB),we found that genes involved in nitrogen fixation(e.g.,nifD/H/K/W),assimilatory nitrate reduction(e.g.,nasA and nirA),denitrification(e.g.,nirK/S and nosZ),assimilatory sulfate reduction(e.g.,cysD/H/J/N/Q and sir),and sulfur oxidation(e.g.,glpE,soeA,sqr and sseA)were significantly higher(correctedp<0.05)in vegetated vs.unvegetated sediments.This could be mainly driven by environmental factors including total phosphorus,total nitrogen,and C:N ratio.The binning of metagenomes further revealed that some archaeal taxa could have the potential of methane metabolism including hydrogenotrophic,acetoclastic,and methylotrophic methanogenesis,which are crucial to the wetland methane budget and carbon cycling.This study opens a new avenue for linking submerged plants with microbial functions,and has further implications for understanding global carbon,nitrogen and sulfur cycling in wetland ecosystems. | Binhao Wang Xiafei Zheng Hangjun Zhang Xiaoli Yu Yingli Lian Xueqin Yang Huang Yu Ruiwen Hu Zhili He Fanshu Xiao Qingyun Yan | 2021 | Marine Life Science & Technology2021,3,4: | 1 |
