1Programmed death-1 upregulation is correlated with dysfunction of tumor-infiltrating CD8^(+ ) T lymphocytes in human non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘T-cell tolerance is an important mechanism for tumor escape,but the molecular pathways involved in T-cell tolerance remain poorly understood.It remains unknown whether the inhibitory immunoreceptor programmed death-1(PD-1)plays a role in conditions of human non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).In this study,we detected PD-1 expression on CD81 T cells from healthy control peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)and the PBMCs of NSCLC patients as well as NSCLC tissues.Results showed that tumor-infiltrating CD81 T cells had increased PD-1 expression and impaired immune function,including reducing cytokine production capability and impairing capacity to proliferate.Blockade of the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway by the PD-L1-specific antibody partially restored cytokine production and cell proliferation.These data provide direct evidence that the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway is involved in CD81 T-cell dysfunction in NSCLC patients.Moreover,blocking this pathway provides a potential therapy target in lung cancer.Yan Zhang Shengdong Huang Dejun Gong Yanghua Qin Qian Shen 2010Cellular & Molecular Immunology2010,7,5:48
2Geology and Exploration of Oil and Gas in the Ordos Basin显示文摘The Ordos basin is rich in oil and gas resources. The structures in the basin are generally rather gentle. Most of the oil and gas pools already found are belong to the types of lithologic, lithostratigraphic and paleo-geomorphic with thin reservoirs. The geology of oil and gas and the generation and distribution of oil and gas resources in the Ordos basin is analyzed in detail in the paper. 3CN-DBpedia2: An Extraction and Verification Framework for Enriching Chinese Encyclopedia Knowledge Base显示文摘Knowledge base plays an important role in machine understanding and has been widely used in various applications, such as search engine, recommendation system and question answering. However, most knowledge bases are incomplete, which can cause many downstream applications to perform poorly because they cannot find the corresponding facts in the knowledge bases. In this paper, we propose an extraction and verification framework to enrich the knowledge bases. Specifically, based on the existing knowledge base, we first extract new facts from the description texts of entities. But not all newly-formed facts can be added directly to the knowledge base because the errors might be involved by the extraction. Then we propose a novel crowd-sourcing based verification step to verify the candidate facts. 4Suspended particulate matter in Jiaozhou Bay:Properties and variations in response to hydrodynamics and pollution显示文摘Based on water samples collected and observations of currents, tidal levels as well as turbidities taken, respectively over a period of 15 and 7 d, in southwestern Jiaozhou Bay on August, 2001, it was found that: ( i ) the average content of non mineral component amounted to 87% of the suspended sediment matter (SPM) in Jiaozhou Bay,much higher than in estuaries and bays where turbidity is high and mineral particulates dominates; (ii) in contrast to high turbid bays, SPM was generally coarser than bed deposits and in upper water column than in lower water column in Jiaozhou Bay; (iii) in fair weathers, suspended sediment concentration (SPC) varied regularly within tidal cycles and neap-spring cycles, but the regularity was deformed in storms; and (iv) SPC was controlled by settling/resuspension near the bed and by advection at the surface at the study site with a depth of 20 m, suggesting weak vertical exchanges. 5TWO-DIMENSIONAL PARTICLE IMAGE VELOCIMETRY(PIV) MEASUREMENTS IN A TRANSPARENT CENTRIFUGAL PUMP显示文摘A special transparent centrifugal pump is designed. Detailed optical measurements of the flow inside the rotating passages of a five-bladed shroud centrifugal pump impeller have been performed by using two-dimensional particle image velocimetry (PIV). The flow is surveyed at three load conditions qv/qνd = 0.4, qν/qνd = 1.0, qν/qνd = 1.5, respectively. As a result, phase averaged PIV velocity vector maps on three planes between hub and shroud of the impeller are presented. At design load, the mean field of relative velocity is predominantly vane congruent, showing well-behaved flow without separation. The distributions of the relative velocity on different plane along the pump shaft are very different and there is always a low velocity zone near the pressure-side of the blade at both low and design flow rate, but the low-velocity-zone at the low flow rate is much larger than that at the design one. 6PGM-Free Oxygen-Reduction Catalyst Development for Proton-Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells:Challenges,Solutions,and Promises显示文摘CONSPECTUS:Proton-exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs)are efficient and clean hydrogen energy technologies for transportation and stationary applications.Highly active and durable low-cost cathode catalysts for the oxygen-reduction reaction(ORR)under challenging acidic environments are desperately needed to address the cost and durability issues of PEMFCs.The most promising platinum group metal(PGM)-free catalysts for the ORR in acidic media are atomically dispersed and nitrogencoordinated metal site catalysts denoted as M−N−C,M=Fe,Co,or Mn.Due to significant efforts in the past few decades,these catalysts have demonstrated much-improved ORR activity and promising initial fuel cell performance approaching traditional Pt/C catalysts.However,the insufficient long-term stability(up to 5000 h)under PEMFC operation represents a primary technical barrier to making current PGM-free catalysts less viable yet in PEMFCs.In this Account,we highlight recent advances in synthesizing efficient PGM-free catalysts for the ORR in PEMFCs,emphasizing effective strategies to improve mass and intrinsic activity and the possible degradation mechanisms.In particular,a chemical doping method based on the zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)-8 represents the key to developing efficient M−N−C catalysts containing atomically dispersed and nitrogen-coordinated single metal active sites(i.e.,MN_(4)).The newly acquired understanding of the formation mechanism of MN_(4)active sites during the thermal activation and its correlation to catalytic properties guide the rational catalyst design rather than relying on current trial-and-error approaches.Considerable efforts have further been invested in increasing the active site density and enhancing intrinsic activity by regulating carbon-phase structures and the local coordination environment.These highly active catalysts usually suffer from significant activity loss during the ORR.Therefore,breaking the activity−stability trade-off is the key to simultaneously achieving activity and stability in one catalyst,which is discussed on the basis of our recent successes in regulating local carbon structures surrounding active single metal sites.Significant research efforts toward understanding the degradation mechanisms and improving the lifetime of PGM-free catalysts are still crucial for viable applications in the future.Novel electrode designing strategies are needed to translate the PGM-free catalysts’ORR activity to solid-state electrolyte-based membrane electrode assemblies(MEAs)with robust three-phase(i.e.,gas−liquid−solid)interfaces for efficient charge and mass transports for performance improvement.On the basis of our effort at the University at Buffalo supported by ElectroCat Consortium associated with U.S.DOE’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office,we provide a perspective on PGM-free cathode catalysts concerning remaining bottlenecks and future opportunities,aiming to inspire the community in both mechanistic understanding and technological development.Yanghua He Gang Wu 2022Accounts of Materials Research2022,3,2:5
7Novel SNPs in IL-17F and IL-17A genes associated with somatic cell count in Chinese Holstein and Inner-Mongolia Sanhe cattle显示文摘Background: Bovine mastitis is the most common and costly disease of lactating cattle worldwide. Apart from milk somatic cell count(SCC) and somatic cell score(SCS), serum cytokines such as interleukin-17(IL-17) and interleukin-4(IL-4) may also be potential indicators for bovine mastitis. The present study was designed to investigate the effects of single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) in bovine IL-17 F and IL-17 A genes on SCC, SCS and serum cytokines in Chinese Holstein and Inner-Mongolia Sanhe cattle, and to compare the m RNA expression variations of the cows with different genotypes.Results: A total of 464 lactating cows(337 Holstein and 127 Inner-Mongolia Sanhe cattle) were screened for SNPs identification and the data were analyzed using fixed effects of herd, parity, season and year of calving by general linear model procedure. The results revealed that SNP g.24392436 C > T in IL-17 F and SNP g.24345410 A > G in IL-17 A showed significant effects on SCC and IL-4 in Holstein(n = 337) and on IL-17 and IL-4 in Sanhe cattle(n = 127). 8Oil/Gas Accumulation Characteristics and Exploration Methods of the Deltaic Lithologic Reservoirs in Northern Shaanxi Area显示文摘There are large deltaic systems in the Triassic Yanchang Formation in the northern Shaanxi area of the Ordos Basin, and developed two sets of good source-reservoir-caprock assemblages and many sets of oil-beating beds. Exploration experience demonstrates that the formation and distribution of the reservoir were controlled by the generative depression of the Yanchang Formation, and deltaic reservoir sand body is the material basis for large-scale oilfields. In addition, secondary laumontite in a low permeable area was dissolved and then a high permeable area was formed. The updip lithologic variety of reservoir sand bodies is favorable to the formation of subtle lithologic traps, and the deltaic reservoirs are characterized by large multi-beds of oil-generation and abundant hydrocarbon resources. In this paper, the petroleum geologic settings of the studied area are analyzed, and the accumulation characteristics and exploration methods of lithologic reservoirs are summarized. 9QTL mapping of resistance to sheath blight in maize(Zea mays L.)显示文摘The genetic linkage map has been constructed with 125 SSR markers based on BC1:2 population consisting of 322 lines derived from the combination of (CML270×478) ×CML270 in maize (Zea mays L.), covering 1939.0 cM of maize genome. The average mapping distance was about 15.5 cM. Three major QTLs of the relative resistant index of re- sistance to maize sheath blight (Rhizoctonia solani) had been located on chromosomes 1, 7 by composite interval mapping (CIM). 7 QTLs of the plant height have been located on chromosomes 3, 4, 5, 6. Five QTLs of ear height have been located on chromosomes 3, 4, 6. The resistance to the sheath blight is shown to be not relative to plant height and ear height genetically. 10Assessing Drought Conditions in Cloudy Regions Using Reconstructed Land Surface Temperature显示文摘Temperature vegetation dryness index(TVDI)in a triangular or trapezoidal feature space can be calculated from the land surface temperature(LST)and normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI),and has been widely applied to regional drought monitoring.However,thermal infrared sensors cannot penetrate clouds to detect surface information of sub-cloud pixels.In cloudy areas,LST data include a large number of cloudy pixels,seriously degrading the spatial and temporal continuity of drought monitoring.In this paper,the Remotely Sensed Daily Land Surface Temperature Reconstruction model(RSDAST)is combined with the LST reconstructed(RLST)by the RSDAST and applied to drought monitoring in a cloudy area.The drought monitoring capability of the reconstructed temperature vegetation drought index(RTVDI)under cloudy conditions is evaluated by comparing the correlation between land surface observations for soil moisture and the TVDI before and after surface temperature reconstruction.Results show that the effective duration and area of the RTVDI in the study area were larger than those of the original TVDI(OTVDI)in 2011.In addition,RLST/NDVI scatter plots cover a wide range of values,with the fitted dry–wet boundaries more representative of real soil moisture conditions.Under continuously cloudy conditions,the OTVDI inverted from the original LST(OLST)loses its drought monitoring capability,whereas RTVDI can completely and accurately reconstruct surface moisture conditions across the entire study area.The correlation between TVDI and soil moisture is stronger for RTVDI(R=-0.45)than that for OTVDI(R=-0.33).In terms of the spatial and temporal distributions,the R value for correlation between RTVDI and soil moisture was higher than that for OTVDI.Hence,in continuously cloudy areas,RTVDI not only expands drought monitoring capability in time and space,but also improves the accuracy of surface soil moisture monitoring and enhances the applicability and reliability of thermal infrared data under extreme conditions.Shiqi YANG Dejun ZHANG Liang SUN Yongqian WANG Yanghua GAO 2020Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,2:3
11Three Cases of Rhabdomyolysis Induced by Viral Infections in Children and Literature Review显示文摘The clinical data of 3 patients with rhabdomyolysis(RM)caused by different viral infections were retrospectively reviewed.The diagnoses were established according to the clinical symptoms,physical signs,myocardial enzymes,and muscle biopsy.Case 1 was a 11-year-old boy with influenza A virus infection,whose major symptoms were fever,cough and myalgia.After the treatment of active anti-virus,hydration,and alkalinization,the patient completely recovered.Case 2 was a 10-year-old girl with Epstein-Barr(EB)virus infection who had significant musculoskeletal pain and muscle weakness symptoms with significantly elevated serum creatine kinase.After active hydration and anti-infective treatment,the patient s condition returned to normal.Case 3 was a 15-year・old boy with human cytomegalovirus infection,whose symptoms were mainly repeated fever,accompanied by myalgia and facial edema.Antibacterial therapy was ineffective,and the disease progressed with respiratory muscle weakness and multiple organ injuries.After antiviral treatment,respiratory support and hemofiltration,the symptoms relieved and patient recovered without sequela.With literature review,we believe that although influenza virus,Epstein-Barr virus and cytomegalovirus rarely cause RM in children,it should be attached attention to.With early diagnosis and treatment,the prognosis is favorable.Yanghua Ju Hongmei Qiao Ying Zhang Yanan Li 2020Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2020,35,4:2
12Tunable Dynamic Black Phosphorus/Insulator/Si Heterojunction Direct-Current Generator Based on the Hot Electron Transport显示文摘Static heterojunction-based electronic devices have been widely applied because carrier dynamic processes between semiconductors can be designed through band gap engineering.Herein,we demonstrate a tunable direct-current generator based on the dynamic heterojunction,whose mechanism is based on breaking the symmetry of drift and diffusion currents and rebounding hot carrier transport in dynamic heterojunctions.Furthermore,the output voltage can be delicately adjusted and enhanced with the interface energy level engineering of inserting dielectric layers.Under the ultrahigh interface electric field,hot electrons will still transfer across the interface through the tunneling and hopping effect.In particular,the intrinsic anisotropy of black phosphorus arising from the lattice structure produces extraordinary electronic,transport,and mechanical properties exploited in our dynamic heterojunction generator.Herein,the voltage of 6.1 V,current density of 124.0 A/m^(2),power density of 201.0 W/m^(2),and energy-conversion efficiency of 31.4%have been achieved based on the dynamic black phosphorus/AlN/Si heterojunction,which can be used to directly and synchronously light up light-emitting diodes.This direct-current generator has the potential to convert ubiquitous mechanical energy into electric energy and is a promising candidate for novel portable and miniaturized power sources in the in situ energy acquisition field.Yanghua Lu Sirui Feng Runjiang Shen Yujun Xu Zhenzhen Hao Yanfei Yan Haonan Zheng Xutao Yu Qiuyue Gao Panpan Zhang Shisheng Lin 2019Research2019,,1:2

15Interfacial Built-In Electric Field-Driven Direct Current Generator Based on Dynamic Silicon Homojunction显示文摘Searching for light and miniaturized functional device structures for sustainable energy gathering from the environment is the focus of energy society with the development of the internet of things.The proposal of a dynamic heterojunction-based direct current generator builds up new platforms for developing in situ energy.However,the requirement of different semiconductors in dynamic heterojunction is too complex to wide applications,generating energy loss for crystal structure mismatch.Herein,dynamic homojunction generators are explored,with the same semiconductor and majority carrier type.Systematic experiments reveal that the majority of carrier directional separation originates from the breaking symmetry between carrier distribution,leading to the rebounding effect of carriers by the interfacial electric field.Strikingly,NN Si homojunction with different Fermi levels can also output the electricity with higher current density than PP/PN homojunction,attributing to higher carrier mobility.The current density is as high as 214.0 A/m^(2),and internal impedance is as low as 3.6 kΩ,matching well with the impedance of electron components.Furthermore,the N-i-N structure is explored,whose output voltage can be further improved to 1.3V in the case of the N-Si/Al2O3/N-Si structure,attributing to the enhanced interfacial barrier.This approach provides a simple and feasible way of converting low-frequency disordered mechanical motion into electricity.Yanghua Lu Qiuyue Gao Xutao Yu Haonan Zheng Runjiang Shen Zhenzhen Hao Yanfei Yan Panpan Zhang Yu Wen Guiting Yang Shisheng Lin 2020Research2020,,1:2

17An efficient source wavefield reconstruction scheme using single boundary layer values for the spectral element method显示文摘In the adjoint-state method, the forward-propagated source wavefield and the backward-propagated receiver wavefield must be available simultaneously either for seismic imaging in migration or for gradient calculation in inversion. A feasible way to avoid the excessive storage demand is to reconstruct the source wavefield backward in time by storing the entire history of the wavefield in perfectly matched layers. In this paper, we make full use of the elementwise global property of the Laplace operator of the spectral element method (SEM) and propose an efficient source wavefield reconstruction method at the cost of storing the wavefield history only at single boundary layer nodes. Numerical experiments indicate that the accuracy of the proposed method is identical to that of the conventional method and is independent of the order of the Lagrange polynomials, the element type, and the temporal discretization method. In contrast, the memory-saving ratios of the conventional method versus our method is at least N when using either quadrilateral or hexahedron elements, respectively, where N is the order of the Lagrange polynomials used in the SEM. A higher memorysaving ratio is achieved with triangular elements versus quadrilaterals. The new method is applied to reverse time migration by considering the Marmousi model as a benchmark. Numerical results demonstrate that the method is able to provide the same result as the conventional method but with about 1/25 times lower storage demand.
