| 1 | Ubiquitination of Rheb governs growth factor-induced mTORC1 activation显示文摘Mechanistic target of rapamycin mTOR complex 1 (mTORC1)plays a key role in the integration of various environmental signals to regulate cell growth and metabolism,mTORC1 is recruited to the lysosome where it is activated by its interaction with GTP-bound Rheb GTPase.However,the regulatory mechanism of Rheb activity remains largely unknown.Here,we show that ubiquitination governs the nucleotide-bound status of Rheb.Lysosome-anchored E3 ligase RNF152 catalyzes Rheb ubiquitination and promotes its binding to the TSC complex.EGF enhances the deubiquitination of Rheb through AKT-dependent USP4 phosphorylation,leading to the release of Rheb from the TSC complex.Functionally,ubiquitination of Rheb is linked to mTORC1-mediated signaling and consequently regulates tumor growth.Thus,we propose a mechanistic model whereby Rheb-mediated mTORC1 activation is dictated by a dynamic opposing act between Rheb ubiquitination and deubiquitination that are catalyzed by RNF152 and USP4 respectively. | Lu Deng Lei Chen Linlin Zhao Yan Xu Xiaoping Peng Xinbo Wang Lin Ding Jiali Jin Hongqi Teng Yanming Wang Weijuan Pan Fei Yu Lujian Liao Li Li Xin Ge Ping Wang | 2019 | Cell Research2019,29,2: | 16 |

| 3 | The chromosome-level genome of double-petal phenotype jasmine provides insights into the biosynthesis of floral scent显示文摘Jasmine(Jasminum sambac Aiton)is a well-known cultivated plant species for its fragrant flowers used in the perfume industry and cosmetics.However,the genetic basis of its floral scent is largely unknown.In this study,using PacBio,Illumina,10×Genomics and highthroughput chromosome conformation capture(Hi-C)sequencing technologies,a high-quality chromosome-level reference genome for J.sambac was obtained,exploiting a double-petal phenotype cultivar‘Shuangbanmoli’(JSSB).The results showed that the final assembled genome of JSSB is 580.33 Mb in size(contig N50=1.05 Mb;scaffold N50=45.07 Mb)with a total of 39618 predicted protein-coding genes.Our analyses revealed that the JSSB genome has undergone an ancient whole-genome duplication(WGD)event at 91.68 million years ago(Mya).It was estimated that J.sambac diverged from the lineage leading to Olea europaea and Osmanthus fragrans about 28.8 Mya.On the basis of a combination of genomic,transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses,a range of floral scent volatiles and genes were identified involved in the benzenoid/phenylpropanoid and terpenoid biosynthesis pathways.The results provide new insights into the molecular mechanism of its fragrance biosynthesis in jasmine. | Xiangyu Qi Huadi Wang Shuyun Liu Shuangshuang Chen Jing Feng Huijie Chen Ziyi Qin Quanming Chen Ikram Blilou Yanming Deng | 2024 | Horticultural Plant Journal2024,10,1: | 1 |

| 6 | Solar-driven high-temperature steam generation at ambient pressure显示文摘This paper demonstrates a facile solar steam generator for the generation of high-temperature steam at ambient pressure. The steam generator consists of a coiled copper tube(CCT) that serves as both solar collector and vapor heater. Both the inner and outer surfaces of the CCT are coated with black superhydrophobic copper oxide layer to improve the solar absorption, and such superhydrophobic layer prevents the condensation and clogging of water vapor during the heating process. Solar vapor is generated at the inlet of CCT through interfacial evaporation and subsequently heated inside the CCT as the vapor travels from the inlet to the outlet. By employing this approach, steam temperature that exceeds 100℃ under 1-sun illumination is demonstrated. Furthermore,steam temperature could reach as high as 250℃ under 10-sun illumination at ambient pressure. Successful sterilization experiment was also performed in this work to demonstrate the potential application of the high temperature steam generated. | 9 | Transpiration Rates of Carex Meyeriana in Relation to Micrometerological Factors in a Mountain Valley Wetland显示文摘In order to reveal transpiration rates of wetland plants and its relationships to micro-meterological factors in a mountain valley wetland, relative humidity, air temperature, leaf temperature, soil temperature, photo flux density and transpiration rates were measured once two hours in a Carex meyeriana wetland of the Changbai Mountain valley in dry (July) and wet (September) of 2003, respectively. Results showed that the tendency of 'decreasing after increasing' was obvious in wet season. However, a relatively stable trend was observed for the transpiration in dry season.. Generally, the photon flux density of Carex meyeriana was higher in wet season than that in dry season. However, the variabilities of leaf temperature, air temperature and relative humidity were similar in both seasons. Higher transpiration rates of Carex meyeriana leaves were observed in July (varied from 40 to 150 mol·m-2·s-1) compared to those (varied from 7 to 14 mol·m-2·s-1) in September.
