1Large aperture N31 neodymium phosphate laser glass for use in a high power laser facility显示文摘Large aperture Nd:phosphate laser glass is a key optical element for an inertial confinement fusion(ICF) facility. N31,one type of neodymium doped phosphate glasses, was developed for high peak power laser facility applications in China. The composition and main properties of N31 glass are given, together with those of LHG-8, LG-770, and KGSS-0180 Nd:phosphate laser glasses, from Hoya and Schott, and from Russia. The technologies of pot melting, continuous melting, and edge cladding of large size N31 phosphate laser glass are briefly described. The small signal gain profiles of N31 glass slabs from both pot melting and continuous melting at various values of the pumping energy of the xenon lamp are presented. N31 glass is characterized by a stimulated emission cross section of 3.8 × 10-20cm2 at 1053 nm,an absorption coefficient of 0.10–0.15% cm-1at laser wavelength, small residual stress around the interface between the cladding glass and the laser glass, optical homogeneity of ~2 × 10-6in a 400 mm aperture, and laser damage threshold larger than 42 J/cm2 for a 3 ns pulse width at 1064 nm wavelength.Lili Hu Shubin Chen Jingping Tang Biao Wang Tao Meng Wei Chen Lei Wen Junjiang Hu Shunguang Li Yongchun Xu Yasi Jiang Junzhou Zhang Zhonghong Jiang 2014High Power Laser Science and Engineering2014,2,1:8
2Stepwise-Nanocavity-Assisted Transmissive Color Filter Array Microprints显示文摘Visible-light color flters using patterned nanostructures have attracted much interest due to their various advantages such as compactness,enhanced stability,and environmental friendliness compared with traditional pigment or dye-based optical flters.While most existing studies are based on planar nanostructures with lateral variation in size,shape,and arrangement,the vertical dimension of structures is a long-ignored degree of freedom for the structural colors.Herein,we demonstrate a synthetic platform for transmissive color flter array by coordinated manipulations between height-varying nanocavities and their lateral flling fractions.Te thickness variation of those nanocavities has been fully deployed as an alternative degree of freedom,yielding vivid colors with wide gamut and excellent saturation.Experimental results show that the color-rendering capability of the pixelated nanocavities can be still retained as pixels are miniaturized to 500 nm.Crosstalk between closely spaced pixels of a Bayer color flter arrangement was calculated,showing minimal crosstalk for 1μm2 square subpixels.Our work provides an approach to designing and fabricating ultracompact color flter arrays for various potential applications including stained-glass microprints,microspectrometers,and high-resolution image sensing systems.Yasi Wang Mengjie Zheng Qifeng Ruan Yanming Zhou Yiqin Chen Peng Dai Zhengmei Yang Zihao Lin Yuxiang Long Ying Li Na Liu Cheng-Wei Qiu Joel K.W.Yang Huigao Duan 2018Research2018,,1:8
3Ginsenoside Rg1 protects against transient focal cerebral ischemic injury and suppresses its systemic metabolic changes in cerabral injury rats显示文摘Ginsenoside Rg1(GR),a major bioactive compound of traditional Chinese medicine,such as Panax ginseng or Radix Notoginseng,has been shown to exert neuroprotective effects against ischemic stroke.However,pharmacokinetic studies have suggested that GR could not be efficiently transported through the blood–brain barrier.The mechanism by which GR attenuates cerebral ischemic injury in vivo remains largely unknown.Therefore,this study explored potential neuro-protective effects of GR through its systemic metabolic regulating mechanism by using mass spectrometry–based metabolomic profiling.Rats with middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) were treated with GR intravenously.Their metabolic profiles in serum were measured by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry on 1 and 3 days after MCAO.GR exhibited a potent neuro-protective effect by significantly decreasing the neurological scores and infarct volume in the MCAO rats.Moreover,18 differential metabolites were tentatively identified,all of which appeared to correlate well with these disease indices.Our findings suggested that GR carries a therapeutic potential in stroke possibly through a feed-back mechanism by regulating systematic metabolic mediation.Mingbao Lin Wei Sun Wan Gong Yasi Ding Yuanyan Zhuang Qi Hou 2015Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2015,5,3:7
43D-Integrated metasurfaces for full-colour holography显示文摘Metasurfaces enable the design of optical elements by engineering the wavefront of light at the subwavelength scale.Due to their ultrathin and compact characteristics,metasurfaces possess great potential to integrate multiple functions in optoelectronic systems for optical device miniaturisation.However,current research based on multiplexing in the 2D plane has not fully utilised the capabilities of metasurfaces for multi-tasking applications.Here,we demonstrate a 3D-integrated metasurface device by stacking a hologram metasurface on a monolithic Fabry–Pérot cavity-based colour filter microarray to simultaneously achieve low-crosstalk,polarisation-independent,high-efficiency,full-colour holography,and microprint.The dual functions of the device outline a novel scheme for data recording,security encryption,colour displays,and information processing.Our 3D integration concept can be extended to achieve multi-tasking flat optical systems by including a variety of functional metasurface layers,such as polarizers,metalenses,and others.Yueqiang Hu Xuhao Luo Yiqin Chen Qing Liu Xin Li Yasi Wang Na Liu Huigao Duan 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:6
5Accurate inverse design of Fabry–Perot-cavity-based color filters far beyond sRGB via a bidirectional artificial neural network显示文摘Structural color based on Fabry–Perot(F-P) cavity enables a wide color gamut with high resolution at submicroscopic scale by varying its geometrical parameters. The ability to design such parameters that can accurately display the desired color is therefore crucial to the manufacturing of F-P cavities for practical applications.This work reports the first inverse design of F-P cavity structure using deep learning through a bidirectional artificial neural network. It enables the production of a significantly wider coverage of color space that is over 215% of sRGB with extremely high accuracy, represented by an average ΔE_(2000) value below 1.2. The superior performance of this structural color-based neural network is directly ascribed to the definition of loss function in the uniform CIE 1976-Lab color space. Over 100,000 times improvement in the design efficiency has been demonstrated by comparing the neural network to the metaheuristic optimization technique using an evolutionary algorithm when designing the famous painting of 'Haystacks, end of Summer' by Claude Monet. 6Kirigami-inspired multiscale patterning of metallic structures via predefined nanotrench templates显示文摘Reliable fabrication of multiscale metallic patterns with precise geometry and size at both the nanoscale and macroscale is of importance for various applications in electronic and optical devices.The existing fabrication processes,which usually involve film deposition in combination with electron-beam patterning,are either timeconsuming or offer limited precision.Inspired by the kirigami,an ancient handicraft art of paper cutting,this work demonstrates an electron-beam patterning process for multiscale metallic structures with significantly enhanced efficiency and precision.Similar to the kirigami,in which the final pattern is defined by cutting its contour in a paper and then removing the unwanted parts,we define the target multiscale structures by first creating nanotrench contours in a metallic film via an electron-beam-based process and then selectively peeling the separated film outside the contours.Compared with the conventional approach,which requires the exposure of the whole pattern,much less exposure area is needed for nanotrench contours,thus enabling reduced exposure time and enhanced geometric precision due to the mitigated proximity effect.A theoretical model based on interface mechanics allows a clear understanding of the nanotrench-assisted selective debonding behaviour in the peeling process.By using this fabrication process,multiscale metallic structures with sub-10-nm up to submillimetre features can be reliably achieved,having potential applications for anti-counterfeiting and gap-plasmon-enhanced spectroscopy.Mengjie Zheng Yiqin Chen Zhi Liu Yuan Liu Yasi Wang Peng Liu Qing Liu Kaixi Bi Zhiwen Shu Yihui Zhang Huigao Duan 2019Microsystems & Nanoengineering2019,5,1:2
7A stable and efficient La-doped MIL-53(Al)/ZnO photocatalyst for sulfamethazine degradation显示文摘Photocatalytic technology can solve various environmental pollution problems,especially antibiotic pollution.A novel La-doped MIL-53(Al)/ZnO composite material was successfully synthesized by a combination of hydrothermal method and calcination,showing high photocatalytic degradation percent of sulfamethazine(SMT).The 2 mol%La MIL-53(Al)/ZnO photocatalyst shows the highest degradation efficiency toward SMT(92%)within 120 min,which is 4.1 times higher than pure ZnO(increased from 18%to 92%).In addition,the degradation analysis of SMT by high performance liquid chromatography proves that the products are CO_(2) and H_(2)O.The improved photocatalytic activity is mostly caused by the following factors.(1)Doping La ions can decrease the band gap of ZnO,enhance light response,and effectively enhance the separation rate of photo-generated holes and electrons.(2)MIL-53(Al)can adsorb SMT and promote the separation of electron.This work shows that the synthesized La-doped MIL-53(Al)/ZnO photocatalyst is expected to be used as a green and effective method for treatment of environment water pollution.Qiuming Wei Wei Li Chun Jin Yasi Chen Linlin Hou Zhiliang Wu Zhongliang Pan Qinyu He Yinzhen Wang Dingyuan Tang 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,4:2
