1Correlation of Chlamydia pneumonias infection with primary biliary cirrhosis显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the association between Chlamydia pneumoniae (Cpn) infection and primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC).METHODS: Cpn IgG and IgM were determined by enzymelinked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in 41 well-established PBC patients and two race-matched control groups (posthepatitis cirrhosis, n = 70; healthy controls, n = 57).RESULTS: The mean level and seroprevalence of Cpn IgG in PBC group and post-hepatitis cirrhosis (PHC) group were significantly higher than those in healthy controls (46.8±43.4 RU/mL, 49.5±45.2 RU/mL vs28.3±32.7 RU/mL;68.3%, 71.4%, 42.1%, respectively; P<0.05). There was a remarkably elevated seroprevalence of Cpn IgM in patients with PBC (22.0%) compared to the PHC and healthy control (HC) groups. For the PBC patients versus the HCs, the odds ratios (ORs) of the presence of Cpn IgG and IgM were 2.7 (95% CI 0.9-6.1) and 5.1 (95% CI 1.4-18.5), respectively. Though there was no correlation in the level of Cpn IgG with total IgG in sera of patients with PBC (r = -0.857, P = 0.344>0.05), Cpn IgM was related with the abnormally high concentrations of total IgM in PBC group.CONCLUSION: The results of this study do not support the hypothesis that infection with Chlamydia pneumoniae may be a triggering agent or even a causative agent in PBC, but suggest that Chlamydia pneumoniae infection probably contributes to the high level of IgM present in most patients with PBC.Hai-YingLiu An-MeiDeng JianZhang YeZhou Ding-KangYao Xiao-QingTu Lie-YingFan Ren-QianZhong 2005World Journal of Gastroenterology2005,11,26:12
2The Grape Component Resveratrol Interferes with the Function of Chemoattractant Receptors on Phagocytic Leukocytes显示文摘Resveratrol (3, 5, 4'-trihydroxystilbene) (RV) is a constituent of grape seeds with anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant activities. In this study, we examined the capacity of RV to modulate the function of G protein-coupled chemoattractant receptors, which play important roles in inflammation and immune responses.RV, over a non-cytotoxic concentration range, inhibited chemotactic and calcium mobilization responses of phagocytic cells to selected chemoattractants. At low micromolar concentrations, RV potently reduced superoxide anion production by phagocytic leukocytes in response to the bacterial chemotactic peptide fMLF, a high affinity ligand for formylpeptide receptor FPR, and Aβ42, an Alzheimer's disease-associated peptide and a ligand for the FPR variant FPRL1. In addition, RV reduced phosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK1/2) and the activation of nuclear factor NF-κB induced by formylpeptide receptor agonists. These results suggest that the inhibition of the function of chemoattractant receptors may contribute to the anti-inflammatory properties of RV. Thus, RV may be therapeutically promising for diseases in which activation of formylpeptide receptors contributes to the pathogenic processes. 3First-principles Study of NiAl Alloyed with Rare Earth Element Ce显示文摘The structural, elastic, and electronic properties of NiAl alloyed with rare earth element (REE) Ce have been investigated by using density functional theory (DFT). It is found that Ce has a strong Al site preference and causes lattice distortion of NiAl. The calculation of elastic constants shows that Ce increased both the hardness and the ductility of NiAl, which could be explained by the formation of new ionic bonds between Al (and Ni) and Ce and the enhancement of covalent bonds in Ni8Al7Ce. 4The Detecting System of Image Forgeries with Noise Features and EXIF Information显示文摘Recently, the digital image blind forensics technology has received an increasing attention in academic community. This paper aims at developing a new identification approach based on the statistical noise and exchangeable image file format(EXIF) information of image for images authentication. In particular, the authors can identify whether the current image has been modified or not by utilizing the relevance between noise and EXIF parameters and comparing the real values with the estimated values of the EXIF parameters. Experimental results validate the proposed method. 5Highly active N-doped carbon encapsulated Pd-Fe intermetallic nanoparticles for the oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Developing highly efficient non-R catalysts for fuel cells and metal-air batteries is highly desirable but still challenging due to the sluggish oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Herein,a facile and efficient strategy is demonstrated to prepare N-doped carbon encapsulated ordered Pd-Fe intermetallic(O-Pd-Fe@NC/C)nanoparticles via a one-step thermal annealing method.The obtained O-Pd-Fe@NC/C nanoparticles show enhanced ORR activity,durability and anti-poisoning capacity in both acid and alkaline medium.When O-Pd-Fe@NC/C serving as cathode catalyst for Zn-air battery,it exhibits higher voltage platform and superior cycling performance with respect to the Zn-air battery based on the mixture of Pt/C and Ir/C catalysts.The enhanced electrocatalytic performance can be ascribed to the formation of face-centered tetragonal(fct)Pd-Fe nanoparticles,the protective action of the N-doped carbon layer and the interface confinement effect between them.The in situ formed N-doped carbon shell not only restrains the Pd-Fe ordered intermetallics from aggregating effectively during the thermal annealing process,but also provides a strong anchoring effect to avoid the detachment of Pd-Fe nanoparticles from the carbon support during the potential cycling.This facile carbon encapsulation strategy may also be extended to the preparation of a wide variety of N-doped carbon encapsulated intermetallic compounds for fuel cell application.Yezhou Hu Yun Lu Xueru Zhao Tao Shen Tonghui Zhao Mingxing Gong Ke Chen Chenglong Lai Jian Zhang Huolin L.Xin Deli Wang 2020Nano Research2020,13,9:3

7Two-dimensional piston pump: Principle, design,and testing for aviation fuel pumps显示文摘Aviation fuel pumps of the future are required to be highly efficient and lightweight.As such,this work presents the designs of various mechanisms and structures of advanced twodimensional piston pumps for aero-engines,and their universal kinematic design methods are detailed herein.The efficiency of various piston pump prototypes was experimentally tested at various speeds in an open circuit.The experimental results indicate that two-dimensional piston pumps have a volumetric efficiency>91%and a higher power–mass ratio than conventional fuel pumps under all the conditions studied.Furthermore,the structural and material problems encountered during testing can provide a blueprint for further improvement of the design and processing of two-dimensional piston fuel pumps.Tong XING Yezhou XU Jian RUAN 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,4:2

16Morphological characteristics of tree crowns of Cunninghamia lanceolata var. Luotian显示文摘The structural characteristics of the tree crowns of Cunninghamia lanceolata var. Luotian(herein, Luotian), a natural variety of C. lanceolata(Chinese-fir, herein Lanceolata) in China, were analyzed using trunk and branch measurements and biomass determinations. Samples from two typical cultivated varietal populations were collected, including twenty-six 15–23-year-old trees of Luotian from a plantation, and nine 16–23-year-old trees of Lanceolata. Our results show that Luotian and Lanceolata samples differed significantly in crown structure, morphological indices, and biomass:(1) the oldest live branches on Luotian trees were 5–6 years old and 8–11 years old on Lanceolata. The ages of the live branches were not affected by the ages of the Luotian trees, while live branch ages increased with ages of Lanceolata trees;(2) the maximumbranching order of Luotian was level two. Compared to Lanceolata, the average number of first-order lateral branches(i.e., branches emerging from the trunk) and the number of first-order lateral branch whorls per sample tree were 12.9% and 32.2% lower, respectively, in Luotian.However, the average number of branches within a single whorl was 21.8% greater in Luotian;the average number of branch whorls at crown height was 51.1% greater. Thus,the Luotian variety has thicker branches;(3) the average lateral branch angles in Luotian and Lanceolata sample trees were 105.2° and 61.4°, respectively. The branch angles in 53.0% of lateral branches on Luotian ranged from105° to 135°, but 30° to 90° in 96% of the lateral branches on Lanceolata. Within the same crown layer, the average branch angle was 1.6–2.2 times greater in Luotian, and the angle was directly proportional to crown thickness;(4) the average base diameter and branch length on Luotian were1.3 cm and 75.8 cm, respectively, and 1.6 cm and112.2 cm for Lanceolata. For individual trees, branch growth differed significantly(p < 0.01) between Luotian and Lanceolata. However, the lateral branches grew at a similar rate among Luotian trees of different ages;(5) the average height to the lowest live branch on Luotian was128.3% greater than on Lanceolata, resulting in a significant difference(p < 0.01) in crown size. Compared to the crowns on Lanceolata, the Luotian crowns were 45.3%higher and 41.1% wider, and the surface area, volume, and growth of the crown were 27.0%, 11.4%, and 2.4 times greater than for Lanceolata, respectively;and,(6) the biomass of Luotian and Lanceolata sample trees also differed significantly. The mean crown, branch, and leaf biomass for Luotian was 40.0%, 25.2%, and 54.1% of those for Lanceolata, respectively. 17Robust Transceiver Optimization for Multi-Antenna Multi-Carrier Multi-Hop Communications显示文摘Multi-hop communications are becoming more and more important due to its flexibility and potential to improve communication coverage and quality. In this paper, we discuss the robust transceiver optimization for multi-hop amplify-and-forward multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) systems. In general, we consider a three-dimensional robust beamforming design, i.e.,frequency, spatial and relay domains. With inevitable channel estimation errors, in our work both weighted mean square error(MSE) minimization and minimizing maximum MSE are adopted as the performance metrics to design robust transceivers. Following the Bayesian robust philosophy, a robust transceiver design is proposed. The design is based on convex optimization, and the involved optimization variables are optimized alternatively. The proposed transceiver optimization algorithms can be applied to the network with arbitrary hops, arbitrary antennas and arbitrary subcarriers. 18Molybdenum-doped titanium dioxide supported low-Pt electrocatalyst for highly efficient and stable hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘The Platinum(Pt)-based catalysts exhibit excellent catalytic performance for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) while suffering from poor stability due to the weak interaction between the carbon support and Pt.Herein,a molybdenum-doped titanium dioxide(Ti_(0.9)Mo_(0.1)O_(2)) supported low-Pt electrocatalyst with stronger interaction between catalyst and support is applied to tune the electrocatalytic performance of Pt.The Ti_(0.9)Mo_(0.1)O_(2) support can not only tolerate the corrosion environment in the catalytic system,but also generate strong metal-support inte raction(SMSI) between the oxide and catalyst.A facile solvothermal method is used to prepareTi_(0.9)Mo_(0.1)O_(2) as support to anchor Pt nanoparticles.The 5% Pt supported on Ti_(0.9)Mo_(0.1)O_(2) catalyst exhibits 4.4-fold mass activity(MA) at an overpotential of 50 mV and higher stability than 20% Pt/C with only 1/4 Pt loading.The SMSI between the Ti_(0.9)Mo_(0.1)O_(2) and Pt prevents the Pt aggregation to achieve excellent stability,and hydrogen spillover effect in the interface between Pt and support benefits the hydrogen production process.This work presents a novel sight for the fabrication and design of oxide supported catalysts in various catalytic system by reasonably employing support effect.Ke Chen Shaofeng Deng Yun Lu Mingxing Gong Yezhou Hu Tonghui Zhao Tao Shen Deli Wang 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,2:0

20Engineering titanium oxide-based support for electrocatalysis显示文摘The corrosion and weaker interaction with metal catalysts of common carbon supports during electrocatalysis push the development of alternative supports materials. Titanium oxide-based materials have been widely explored as electrocatalysts supports in consideration of their chemical stability, strong interactions with metal catalyst and wider applications in electrocatalytic reactions as well as the improved electronic conductivity. This review summarizes recent research advances in engineering titanium oxide-based supports for the catalysts in electrocatalysis field to provide guidance for designing high performance non-carbon supported electrocatalysts. Typically, the titanium oxide-based supports are classified into shaped TiO_(2), doped TiO_(2), titanium suboxide and TiO_(2)-carbon composites according to the modification methods and corresponding preparation methods. Then the engineering strategies and electrocatalytic applications are discussed in detail.
