1A 23 GHz high-temperature superconducting microstrip filter for radio astronomy显示文摘This paper reports a 6-pole high-temperature superconducting (HTS) microstrip bandpass filter for radio astronomy applications. The filter has a center frequency of 23 GHz and a bandwidth the 2 GHz. We have made many efforts, such as adopting 0.25-mm-thick substrate, carefully designing the housing box and filter layout, to solve the problems in realizing a K-band planar filter. A special straight-line half-wavelength resonator (center-widen resonator) was also designed to reduce the insertion loss of the filter. The measured results showed a midband insertion loss of 0.11 dB with a ripple of 0.4 dB, and a return loss better than 11.5 dB. 3Effects of Forest Roads on Habitat Pattern for Sables in Da Hinggan Mountains, Northeasten China显示文摘The anthropogenic managements of forest have created a network of roads resulting in the loss and alternation of habitat. To better understand road′s impact on animal habitats, we assessed the habitat pattern of sables(Martes zibellina), one of rodents within national first-class protected species, when roads are considered in Huzhong area in Da Hinggan Mountains, northeastern China. Employing published literatures about behavior ecology, aerial photographs and forest stand maps, we classified the study area into three habitat types including best-suitable, suitable and unsuitable habitats based on sable habitat requirements at the landscape scale including four variables derived from forest source map with attribute database. Results indicated the loss and significant fragmentation of best-suitable habitat and home range habitat when roads, especially 150 m avoidance distance of roads, were considered. The roads reduced and fragmented highly suitable habitats more significantly during earlier development period than the later development period. Additionally, the suitable area percentage increased with increasing distance to roads. This study helped to identify the suitable area for sables and location of sable population. 5Simulating Impact of Larch Caterpillar(Dendrolimus superans)on Fire Regime and Forest Landscape in Da Hinggan Mountains,Northeast China显示文摘Larch caterpillar (Dendrolimus superans) is very common in the Da Hinggan Mountains, Northeast China, affecting fire regime and forest ecosystem change at large spatio-temporal scales. In this study, we used a spatially explicit landscape model, LANDIS, to simulate the changes of fire regime and forest landscape under four larch caterpillar disturbance intensity levels scenarios in Huzhong forest area, northern of Da Hinggan Mountains. The results indicate that larch caterpillar disturbances would decrease fine fuel load and increase coarse fuel load in the 300 simulation years. Larch caterpillar disturbances would decrease fire frequency in the first 200 years, and the disturbances also decrease fire intensity and fire risk in the early and late stage of simulation. Larch caterpillar disturbances would decrease the area percent of larch cohorts and increase the proportion of white birch, and increase the degree of aggregation of white birch as a result of its strong seed dispersal and colonization ability. Disturbances would also decrease the mature and over-mature larch cohorts and increase all cohorts of white birch, especially the mature and over-mature cohorts. 7Precursor compound enabled formation of aqueous-phase CdSe magic-size clusters at room temperature显示文摘The formation pathway of aqueous-phase colloidal semiconductor magic-size clusters(MSCs)remains unrevealed.In the present work,we demonstrate,for the first time,a precursor compound(PC)-enabled formation pathway of aqueous-phase CdSe MSCs exhibiting a sharp absorption peaking at about 420 nm(MSC-420).The CdSe MSC-420 is synthesized with CdCl2 and selenourea as the respective Cd and Se sources,and with 3-mercaptopropionic acid or L-cysteine as a ligand.Absorption featureless CdSe PCs form first in the aqueous reaction batches,which transform to MSC-420 in the presence of primary amines.The coordination between primary amine and Cd^(2+)on PCs may be responsible to the PC-to-MSC transformation.Upon increasing the reactant concentrations or decreasing the CdCl_(2)-ligand feed molar ratios,the Cd precursor self-assembles into large aggregates,which may encapsulate the resulting CdSe PCs and inhibit their transformation to MSC-420.The present study sheds essential light on the syntheses and formation mechanisms of nanocrystals.Min Zhao Qingyuan Chen Yongcheng Zhu Yuehui Liu Chunchun Zhang Gang Jiang Meng Zhang Kui Yu 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:1

9Correlating the electronic structures of metallic/semiconducting MoTe_(2)interface to its atomic structures显示文摘Contact interface properties are important in determining the performances of devices that are based on atomically thin two-dimensional(2D)materials,especially for those with short channels.Understanding the contact interface is therefore important to design better devices.Herein,we use scanning transmission electron microscopy,electron energy loss spectroscopy,and first-principles calculations to reveal the electronic structures within the metallic(1T)-semiconducting(2H)MoTe_(2)coplanar phase boundary across a wide spectral range and correlate its properties to atomic structures.We find that the 2 H-MoTe_(2)excitonic peaks cross the phase boundary into the 1 T phase within a range of approximately 150 nm.The1 T-MoTe_(2)crystal field can penetrate the boundary and extend into the 2H phase by approximately two unit-cells.The plasmonic oscillations exhibit strong angle dependence,that is a red-shift ofπ+σ(approximately 0.3–1.2 e V)occurs within 4 nm at 1 T/2 H-MoTe_(2)boundaries with large tilt angles,but there is no shift at zero-tilted boundaries.These atomic-scale measurements reveal the structure–property relationships of the 1 T/2 H-MoTe_(2)boundary,providing useful information for phase boundary engineering and device development based on 2 D materials.Bo Han Chen Yang Xiaolong Xu Yuehui Li Ruochen Shi Kaihui Liu Haicheng Wang Yu Ye Jing Lu Dapeng Yu Peng Gao 2021National Science Review2021,8,2:0
10Atomic origin of spin-valve magnetoresistance at the SrRuO3 grain boundary显示文摘Defects exist ubiquitously in crystal materials, and usually exhibit a very different nature from the bulk matrix.Hence, their presence can have significant impacts on the properties of devices.Although it is well accepted that the properties of defects are determined by their unique atomic environments, the precise knowledge of such relationships is far from clear for most oxides because of the complexity of defects and difficulties in characterization.Here, we fabricate a 36.8°Sr RuO3 grain boundary of which the transport measurements show a spin-valve magnetoresistance.We identify its atomic arrangement, including oxygen,using scanning transmission electron microscopy and spectroscopy.Based on the as-obtained atomic structure, the density functional theory calculations suggest that the spin-valve magnetoresistance occurs because of dramatically reduced magnetic moments at the boundary.The ability to manipulate magnetic properties at the nanometer scale via defect control allows new strategies to design magnetic/electronic devices with low-dimensional magnetic order.Xujing Li Li Yin Zhengxun Lai Mei Wu Yu Sheng Lei Zhang Yuanwei Sun Shulin Chen Xiaomei Li Jingmin Zhang Yuehui Li Kaihui Liu Kaiyou Wang Dapeng Yu Xuedong Bai Wenbo Mi Peng Gao 2020National Science Review2020,7,4:0

13Changes of forest fire regime and landscape pattern under different harvesting modes in a boreal forest of Northeast China显示文摘Forest management such as timber harvesting shapes fire regimes and landscape patterns, and these patterns often differ significantly from those under natural disturbances. Our objective was to examine the effects of timber harvesting modes on fire regimes and landscape patterns in a boreal forest of Northeast China. We used a spatially explicit landscape model, LANDIS, to simulate the changes of forest landscape in the Huzhong forest region of the Great Khingan Mountains under no-cutting, clear-cutting, gradual-cutting and selective-cutting modes. Results showed that:(1) the fine fuel loadings generally decreased while the coarse fuel loadings increased with the increase of timber harvesting intensity;(2) the potential burn area significantly varied among different cutting modes, but the potential fire frequency had no obvious difference. Moreover, timber harvesting generally increased the potential fire risk;(3) clear-cutting mode significantly decreased the mean patch size and the aggregation of larch forests and increased the mean patch size and the aggregation of white birch forests. 14Influence of Al-doping on electroluminescence of silicon-based films显示文摘A series of Al-doped silicon-rich silica (AlSiO) composite films have been prepared by a dual ion beam co-sputtering method with a Al, Si and SiO2 composite target. The content of Al and Si in the films can be adjusted by changing the surface area of Al and Si of the target. Visible electroluminescence (EL) from the samples is found to have only one luminescence band peaked at 510 nm (2.4 eV).
