Effects of Forest Roads on Habitat Pattern for Sables in Da Hinggan Mountains, Northeasten China显示文摘The anthropogenic managements of forest have created a network of roads resulting in the loss and alternation of habitat. To better understand road′s impact on animal habitats, we assessed the habitat pattern of sables(Martes zibellina), one of rodents within national first-class protected species, when roads are considered in Huzhong area in Da Hinggan Mountains, northeastern China. Employing published literatures about behavior ecology, aerial photographs and forest stand maps, we classified the study area into three habitat types including best-suitable, suitable and unsuitable habitats based on sable habitat requirements at the landscape scale including four variables derived from forest source map with attribute database. Results indicated the loss and significant fragmentation of best-suitable habitat and home range habitat when roads, especially 150 m avoidance distance of roads, were considered. The roads reduced and fragmented highly suitable habitats more significantly during earlier development period than the later development period. Additionally, the suitable area percentage increased with increasing distance to roads. This study helped to identify the suitable area for sables and location of sable population. Also, this study suggested the passage construction and road management involving road closure and removal will reduce the fragmentation functionally and benefit the sable population. | LI Yuehui WU Wen XIONG Zaiping HU Yuanman CHANG Yu XIAO Duning | 2014 | Chinese Geographical Science2014,24,5: | 4
Theoretical screening of the transition metal heteronuclear dimer anchored graphdiyne for electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction显示文摘Developing efficient electrocatalysts for nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)is crucial to replace the both energy-intensive and environment-malignant Haber-Bosch process. Here using density functional theory calculations,we systematically studied the potential of the heteronuclear 3 d transition metal dimers anchored graphdiyne monolayers(FeM@and NiM@GDY,M=Ti,V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,and Cu)as efficient NRR catalysts.Among all the studied double-atom catalysts(DACs),FeCo@and NiCo@GDY are the most promising with excellent NRR catalytic activity, high ability to suppress the competing hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),and good stability. For both FeCo@and NiCo@GDY,NRR prefers to the distal pathway with the calculated onset potentials of -0.44 and -0.36 V,respectively, which are comparable and even better than their homonuclear counterparts.Moreover,FeCo@and NiCo@GDY have higher ability to suppress HER than Fe_(2)@ and Co_(2)@GDY,which may result from the modulated d state electronic structure due to the synergy effect of the heteronuclear atoms in the DACs.Our work not only suggests that FeCo@and NiCo@GDY hold great promises as efficient,low-cost,and stable DACs for NRR,but also further provides a strategy,i.e.alloying the atomic metal catalysts,to improve the NRR catalytic activity and/or selectivity. | Dongwei Ma Zaiping Zeng Liangliang Liu Yu Jia | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3: | 3

Roadmap for rechargeable batteries:present and beyond显示文摘Rechargeable batteries currently hold the largest share of the electrochemical energy storage market, and they play a major role in the sustainable energy transition and industrial decarbonization to respond to global climate change.Due to the increased popularity of consumer electronics and electric vehicles,lithium-ion batteries have quickly become the most successful rechargeable batteries in the past three decades, yet growing demands in diversified application scenarios call for new types of rechargeable batteries.Tremendous efforts are made to developing the next-generation post-Li-ion rechargeable batteries, which include, but are not limited to solid-state batteries, lithium–sulfur batteries,sodium-/potassium-ion batteries, organic batteries,magnesium-/zinc-ion batteries, aqueous batteries and flow batteries.Despite the great achievements, challenges persist in precise understandings about the electrochemical reaction and charge transfer process, and optimal design of key materials and interfaces in a battery. This roadmap tends to provide an overview about the current research progress, key challenges and future prospects of various types of rechargeable batteries.New computational methods for materials development, and characterization techniques will also be discussed as they play an important role in battery research. | Sen Xin Xu Zhang Lin Wang Haijun Yu Xin Chang Yu-Ming Zhao Qinghai Meng Pan Xu Chen-Zi Zhao Jiahang Chen Huichao Lu Xirui Kong Jiulin Wang Kai Chen Gang Huang Xinbo Zhang Yu Su Yao Xiao Shu-Lei Chou Shilin Zhang Zaiping Guo Aobing Du Guanglei Cui Gaojing Yang Qing Zhao Liubing Dong Dong Zhou Feiyu Kang Hu Hong Chunyi Zhi Zhizhang Yuan Xianfeng Li Yifei Mo Yizhou Zhu Dongfang Yu Xincheng Lei Jianxiong Zhao Jiayi Wang Dong Su Yu-Guo Guo Qiang Zhang Jun Chen Li-Jun Wan | 2024 | Science China Chemistry2024,67,1: | 0
Synergistic effect of lithiophilic Zn nanoparticles and N-doping for stable Li metal anodes显示文摘Li metal is the most ideal anode material for next-generation high energy lithium-ion batteries. The uncontrollable growth of Li dendrites, however, hinders its practical application.Herein,we propose the adoption of Zn nanoparticles uniformly embedded in N-doped carbon polyhedra homogeneously built on carbon cloth(Zn@NC@CC)to prevent the formation of Li dendrites.Based on theoretical calculation and experimental observation, lithiophilic Zn nanoparticles and N-doping inside of the assynthesized Zn@NC play a synergistic role in enhancing the adsorption capacity with Li,thus resulting in uniform Li deposition and complete suppression of Li dendrites. Moreover, the porous N-doped carbon polyhedras uniformly distributed on carbon cloth effectively relieves the volume change of Li upon repeated Li stripping/plating process, which contributes to preserving the structural integrity of the whole electrode and hence enhancing its long-term cycling stability.Benefiting from these synergistic effects, the Li-Zn@NC@CC electrode delivers a prolonged lifespan of over 1200 h at 1 mA cm^(-2) with an areal capacity of 1 mA h cm^(-2) in symmetric cells and high Coulombic efficiencies of 95.4%under an ultrahigh capacity of 12 mA h cm^(-2).Remarkably,Li-Zn@NC@CC//LiFePO_(4) full cells deliver a high reversible capacity of 110.2 mA h g^(-1) at 1 C over 200 cycles. | Lei You Shunlong Ju Jianwen Liu Guanglin Xia Zaiping Guo Xuebin Yu | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2: | 0
Spatial patterns and influencing factors of intraurban particulate matter in the heating season based on taxi monitoring显示文摘Urbanization has introduced a series of environmental problems worldwide, and particulate matter(PM)is one of the main threats to human health.Due to the lack of high-resolution,large-scale monitoring data, few studies have analyzed the intraurban spatial distribution pattern of PM at a fine scale. In this study, portable air monitors carried by five taxis were used to collect the concentrations of PM1,PM2.5 and PM10 for five months in Shenyang during the heating season. The results showed that high concentrations of PM were distributed in the suburbs, while relatively low concentration areas were found in the central area.Agricultural, industrial and development zones had higher concentration values among the eight observed types. The PM concentration exhibited strong spatial autocorrelation based on Moran’s I index analysis.Meteorological factors were the most important influencing factors of the three pollutants, and their total contribution rate accounted for more than 80%among the 13 factors according to boosted regression trees analysis. The taxi monitoring method we proposed was a more efficient and feasible method for monitoring urban air pollution and could obtain higher spatial-temporal resolution data at a lower cost to elucidate the region’s dynamic air pollution distribution patterns. | Chong Liu Yuanman Hu Yu Chang Miao Liu Zaiping Xiong Tan Chen Chunlin Li | 2022 | Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2022,8,1: | 0
