| 3 | Influence of substrate temperature on growth of a-Si:H films by reactive facing target sputtering deposition显示文摘Hydrogenated amorphous silicon(a-Si:H) films were deposited by reactive facing target sputtering(FTS) technique with a mixture of Ar and H2 reaction gas.Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) absorption,Raman scattering and ultraviolet-visible optical absorption are used to investigate the microstructure and optical properties of the deposited films.The decrease of the concentration of bonded hydrogen,especially that of(Si-H2)n with increasing substrate temperature(Ts),was observed in FTIR spectra,suggesting the atomic density increases and the concentration of microvoids decrease in a-Si:H films.The increase of both the short range order and the intermediate range order of amorphous network for a-Si:H films were verified by Raman scattering spectra,in which increasing Ts decreasing the band width of TO and the scattering intensity ratio ITA/ITO were obtained.All above results clarify the effect of increasing Ts on the microstructure amelioration for a-Si:H films.The reduction of disordered domains is correlated with the film growing process,where the increased surface diffusion mobility and etching of weak bonds is induced by increasing Ts.Furthermore,analysis of optical absorption indicates that the films with a lower optical band gap and a narrower band edge can be obtained by this FTS technique. | YU Wei,MENG LingHai,YUAN Jing,LU HaiJiang,WU ShuJie & FU GuangSheng College of Physics Science and Technology,Hebei University,Baoding 071002,China | 2010 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,5: | 3 |

| 11 | Study and innovation of a flexible blade turbine,a new type of tidal current generating device显示文摘Utilization of tidal current is becoming a focus of marine energy research and development field. In this paper, a new type of tidal current power generating device which was called flexible blade turbine was put forward. A scale model testing was carried out, and results show that the models performed as expected with good hydrodynamic characteristics. Based on analysis of the results, a scale model turbine with a rated power of 5 kW was constructed, which was an optimal scheme of the flexible blade turbine having higher coefficient of power and power generation capacity. Sea trials were carried out in the Zhaitang Island Channel to evaluate the performance of the turbine. | 18 | Identification of Convective and Stratiform Clouds Based on the Improved DBSCAN Clustering Algorithm显示文摘A convective and stratiform cloud classification method for weather radar is proposed based on the density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise(DBSCAN)algorithm.To identify convective and stratiform clouds in different developmental phases,two-dimensional(2D)and three-dimensional(3D)models are proposed by applying reflectivity factors at 0.5°and at 0.5°,1.5°,and 2.4°elevation angles,respectively.According to the thresholds of the algorithm,which include echo intensity,the echo top height of 35 dBZ(ET),density threshold,andεneighborhood,cloud clusters can be marked into four types:deep-convective cloud(DCC),shallow-convective cloud(SCC),hybrid convective-stratiform cloud(HCS),and stratiform cloud(SFC)types.Each cloud cluster type is further identified as a core area and boundary area,which can provide more abundant cloud structure information.The algorithm is verified using the volume scan data observed with new-generation S-band weather radars in Nanjing,Xuzhou,and Qingdao.The results show that cloud clusters can be intuitively identified as core and boundary points,which change in area continuously during the process of convective evolution,by the improved DBSCAN algorithm.Therefore,the occurrence and disappearance of convective weather can be estimated in advance by observing the changes of the classification.Because density thresholds are different and multiple elevations are utilized in the 3D model,the identified echo types and areas are dissimilar between the 2D and 3D models.The 3D model identifies larger convective and stratiform clouds than the 2D model.However,the developing convective clouds of small areas at lower heights cannot be identified with the 3D model because they are covered by thick stratiform clouds.In addition,the 3D model can avoid the influence of the melting layer and better suggest convective clouds in the developmental stage. | Yuanyuan ZUO Zhiqun HU Shujie YUAN Jiafeng ZHENG Xiaoyan YIN Boyong LI | 2022 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2022,39,12: | 1 |
