1Flow Instability of a Centrifugal Pump Determined Using the Energy Gradient Method显示文摘The stability of the centrifugal pump has not been well revealed because of the complexity of internal flow. To analyze the flow characteristics of a centrifugal pump operating at low capacity, methods of numerical simulation and experimental research were adopted in this paper. Characteristics of the inner flow were obtained. Standard k–ε turbulence models were used to calculate the inner flow of the pump under off-design conditions. The distribution of the energy gradient function K was obtained by three-dimensional numerical simulation at different flow rates. The relative velocity component was acquired from the absolute velocity obtained in particle image velocimetry. By comparing with experimental results, it was found that flow instability occurs at the position of maximum K. The flow stability reduces with an increasing flow rate. 2Surface disorder engineering in ZnCdS for cocatalyst free visible light driven hydrogen production显示文摘Metal chalcogenide solid solution,especially ZnCdS,has been intensively investigated in photocatalytic H_(2) generation due to their cost-effective synthetic procedure and adjustable band structures.In this work,we report on the defect engineering of ZnCdS with surface disorder layer by simple room temperature Li-ethylenediamine(Li-EDA)treatment.Experimental results confirm the formation of unusual Zn and S dual vacancies,where rich S vacancies(Vs)served as electron trapping sites,meanwhile Zn vacancies(Vzn)served as hole trapping sites.The refined structure significantly facilitates the photo charge carrier transfer and improves photocatalytic properties of ZnCdS.The disordered ZnCdS shows a highest photocatalytic H_(2) production rate of 33.6 mmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1) under visible light with superior photocatalytic stabilities,which is 7.3 times higher than pristine ZnCdS and 7 times of Pt(1 wt.%)loaded ZnCdS.Enna Ha Shuhong Ruan Danyang Li Yuanmin Zhu Yanping Chen Jiangyuan Qiu Zhaohui Chen Tingting Xu Jingyun Su Luyang Wang Junqing Hu 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:3

4Wavelength-Dependent Solar N_(2) Fixation into Ammonia and Nitrate in Pure Water显示文摘Solar-driven N_(2) fixation using a photocatalyst in water presents a promising alternative to the traditional Haber-Bosch process in terms of both energy efficiency and environmental concern.At present,the product of solar N_(2) fixation is either NH_(4)^(+)or NO_(3)^(-).Few reports described the simultaneous formation of ammonia(NH_(4)^(+))and nitrate(NO_(3)^(-))by a photocatalytic reaction and the related mechanism.In this work,we report a strategy to photocatalytically fix nitrogen through simultaneous reduction and oxidation to produce NH_(4)^(+)and NO_(3)^(-)byW18O49 nanowires in pure water.The underlying mechanism of wavelength-dependent N_(2) fixation in the presence of surface defects is proposed,with an emphasis on oxygen vacancies that not only facilitate the activation and dissociation of N_(2) but also improve light absorption and the separation of the photoexcited carriers.Both NH_(4)^(+)and NO_(3)^(-)can be produced in pure water under a simulated solar light and even till the wavelength reaching 730 nm.The maximum quantum efficiency reaches 9%at 365 nm.Theoretical calculation reveals that disproportionation reaction of the N_(2) molecule is more energetically favorable than either reduction or oxidation alone.It is worth noting that the molar fraction of NH_(4)^(+)in the total product(NH_(4)^(+)plus NO_(3)^(-))shows an inverted volcano shape from 365nm to 730 nm.The increased fraction of NO_(3)^(-)from 365 nm to around 427 nm results from the competition between the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)at W sites without oxygen vacancies and the N_(2) oxidation reaction(NOR)at oxygen vacancy sites,which is driven by the intrinsically delocalized photoexcited holes.From 427nm to 730 nm,NOR is energetically restricted due to its higher equilibrium potential than that of OER,accompanied by the localized photoexcited holes on oxygen vacancies.Full disproportionation of N_(2) is achieved within a range of wavelength from~427nm to~515 nm.This work presents a rational strategy to efficiently utilize the photoexcited carriers and optimize the photocatalyst for practical nitrogen fixation.Wenju Ren Zongwei Mei Shisheng Zheng Shunning Li Yuanmin Zhu Jiaxin Zheng Yuan Lin Haibiao Chen Meng Gu Feng Pan 2020Research2020,,1:1

73D P-wave Velocity Structure and Active Tectonics in the Xinfengjiang Area of Guangdong显示文摘In this paper,we determined an earthquake sequence location in the Xingfengjiang area from June,2007 to July,2014 and the 3 D P-wave velocity structure by a simultaneous inversion method. On that basis,we studied the occurrence features of active tectonics and the earthquake source mechanism. The results show that the reservoir fracture system has a tendency to increase with gradual depth from southeast to northwest,consistent with gravitational field research results. There are 4 high velocity zones( HVZ) under the depth of the 7 km-12 km crust between the Xinfengjiang Reservoir dam and Xichang District,Dongyuan. The max velocity of the biggest HVZ which is under Xichang is 6. 3 km/s. Under the reservoir dam there is a strong tectonic deformation zone,as the center exit Renzishi fault( F_2),Nanshan-Aotou faults( F_4),Heyuan fault( F_1) and Shijiao-Xingang-Baitian fault( F_5),7 earthquakes with M_L≥ 5. 0( including M 6. 1 in March,1962) occurred at the high gradient zone of the HVZ Ⅲ and HVZ Ⅳ edge which has been under the reservoir dam since 1960, with relativity energy releasing more thoroughly. 10A novel strategy of fabricated flexible ITO electrode by liquid metal ultra-thin oxide film显示文摘Flexible transparent conductive films are gaining attention day by day over the last few years due to it is a key component of next generation flexible electronics and optoelectronic devices.Indium tin oxide(ITO)as one of the most widely used transparent conductive material is limited by the traditional deposition approach cannot be achieve ultra-thin,which results in its brittle nature.Herein,a novel strategy for fabricating highly transparent conductive films by liquid metal interface phase separation technique based on low-melting liquid metal of InxSn100-x alloy is reported,during the solid-to-liquid phase transition of alloy,the monolayer of surface oxide film segregated with the bulk phase and was printed on the flexible polyethylene-naphthalate(PEN)substrate under the van der Waals.This novel strategy can directly print the ultra-thin self-oxide with the structure of ITO on PEN substrate,with the resulting of transparency over 97.5%and resistivity as low as 0.21 kU cm,providing a new way of lowcost raw ITO material as well as the personalized preparation strategy.The desirable highly transparent conductive films are comparable to recently reported ITO film,together with advantages of pretty steady,make them attractive as various flexible transparent conductive electrodes,for example,an ultra-thin ITO film is developed for luminescent devices.Yunhui Wu Xufeng Liu Wenjian Wu Yuanmin Zhu Kunquan Li Xiaojing Su Huali Xie Xiaofan Zhang Haitao Xu Kang Wang Zhi-Min Dang 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,6:1

15Advances in experiments and numerical simulations on the effects of stress perturbations on fault slip显示文摘Laboratory experiments and numerical simulations on rock friction perturbations,an important means for understanding the mechanism and influencing factors of stress-triggered earthquakes,are of great significance for studying earthquake mechanisms and earthquake hazard analysis.We reviews the experiments and numerical simulations on the effects of stress perturbations on fault slip,and the results show that stress perturbations can change fault stress and trigger earthquakes.The Coulomb failure criterion can shed light on some questions about stress-triggering earthquakes but cannot explain the time dependence of earthquake triggering nor be used to investigate the effect of heterogeneous stress perturbations.The amplitude and period are important factors affecting the correlation between stress perturbation and fault instability.The effect of the perturbation period on fault instability is still controversial,and the effect of the high-frequency perturbation on earthquakes may be underestimated.Normal and shear stress perturbation can trigger fault instability,but their effects on fault slip differ.It is necessary to distinguish whether the stress perturbation is dominated by shear or normal stress change when it triggers fault instability.Fault tectonic stress plays a decisive effect on the mode of fault instability and earthquake magnitude.Acoustic emission activity can reflect the changes in fault stress and the progression of fault nucleation,and identify the meta-instability stage and precursor of fault instability,providing a reference for earthquake prediction.Yuanmin Huang Shengli Ma Xiaohui Li Ye Shao 2023Earthquake Research Advances2023,3,3:0
16Insights into the mechanism of multiple Cu-doped Co Fe_(2)O_(4)nanocatalyst activated peroxymonosulfate for efficient degradation of Rhodamine B显示文摘The multiple metal catalyst as a promising nanomaterial has shown excellent activity in the peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation for pollutant degradation.However,the role of special sites and in-depth understanding of the PMS activation mechanism are not fully studied.In this study,a Cu-doped CoFe_(2)O_(4)nanocatalyst(0.5CCF)was synthesized by a sol-gel and calcination method,and used for PMS activation to remove Rhodamine B(RhB).The results showed that the Cu doping obviously enhanced the catalytic performance of CoFe_(2)O_(4),with 99.70%of RhB removed by 0.5CCF while 74.91%in the CoFe_(2)O_(4)within 15 min.Based on the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and electrochemical analysis,this could be ascribed to the more low valence of Co and Fe species generated on the 0.5CCF and faster electron transfers occurred in the 0.5CCF due to the Cu doping.In addition,Cu doping could provide more reaction sites for the 0.5CCF to activate PMS for RhB removal.The metal species and the surface hydroxyl were the reaction sites of PMS activation,and the surface hydroxyl played an important role in surface-bound reactive species generation.During the PMS activation,the Cu not only activated PMS to produce reactive oxygen species(ROS),but also regenerated Co^(2+)and Fe^(2+)to accelerate the PMS activation.The non-radical of ^(1)O_(2)was the main ROS with a 99.35%of contribution rate,and the SO_(5)^(·–)self-reaction was its major source.This study provides a new insight to enhance the PMS activation performance of multiple metal catalysts by Cu doping in wastewater treatment.Yuanmin Mo Xiaoping Zhang 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,3:0
17A high-precision multi-dimensional microspectroscopic technique for morphological and properties analysis of cancer cell显示文摘Raman and Brillouin scattering are sensitive approaches to detect chemical composition and mechanical elasticity pathology of cells in cancer development and their medical treatment researches.The application is,however,suffering from the lack of ability to synchronously acquire the scattering signals following three-dimensional(3D)cell morphology with reasonable spatial resolution and signal-to-noise ratio.Herein,we propose a divided-aperture laser differential confocal 3D Geometry-Raman-Brillouin microscopic detection technology,by which reflection,Raman,and Brillouin scattering signals are simultaneously in situ collected in real time with an axial focusing accuracy up to 1 nm,in the height range of 200μm.The divided aperture improves the anti-noise capability of the system,and the noise influence depth of Raman detection reduces by 35.4%,and the Brillouin extinction ratio increases by 22 dB.A high-precision multichannel microspectroscopic system containing these functions is developed,which is utilized to study gastric cancer tissue.As a result,a 25%reduction of collagen concentration,42%increase of DNA substances,17%and 9%decrease in viscosity and elasticity are finely resolved from the 3D mappings.These findings indicate that our system can be a powerful tool to study cancer development new therapies at the sub-cell level.Lirong Qiu Yunhao Su Ke-Mi Xu Han Cui Dezhi Zheng Yuanmin Zhu Lin Li Fang Li Weiqian Zhao 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,6:0
18Effect of fault jogs on frictional behavior: An experimental study显示文摘Studying the effect of geometrically irregular bodies on the mechanical behavior of fault activity is of significance in understanding the seismic activity along a fault zone. By using rock mechanics ex- periment with medium-scale samples, we have studied the effect of fault jogs, the most common irregularity along fault zones, on frictional behavior. The research indicates that extensional fault jog can be easily fractured because of its low strength and the fractured jog has no obvious resistance to fault sliding, and the micro-fractures occurring in the jog are indicative of stick-slip along the faults. The fault zone containing extensional jogs is characterized by velocity weakening and can be described by rate and state friction law. Compressional fault jog makes fault sliding more difficult because of its high fracturing strength, but the micro-fractures occurring in the tensile areas around fault ends at higher stress level can provide necessary condition for occurrence of stick-slip along the faults before the jog is fractured and thus act as precursors of fault instability. 20Rayleigh Wave Group Velocity Maps of East Guangdong and Its Surrounding Regions from Ambient Seismic Noise Tomography显示文摘We perform Rayleigh wave tomography in east Guangdong and its surrounding regions by applying the ambient noise method to broadband data recorded at 26 stations from Guangdong,Fujian and Jiangxi Digital Seismic Networks.Cross-correlations of verticalcomponent ambient noise data are computed in one-day segments and stacked over seven months from March to September,2011.Then Rayleigh wave group dispersion curves are measured using the frequency-time analysis method.Group velocity maps at periods from5s to 15s are inverted.The resulting group velocity maps generally show good correlation with tectonic features,reflecting the velocity variations in the shallow crust.The basin areas are clearly resolved with lower group velocities at the short periods due to thick sedimentary layers,and the mountain areas with higher group velocities due to thin sedimentary layers.The variations of group velocity on the map can draw out the distribution of basins and mountains in study areas.The geothermal field can change the group velocity obviously,and lower group velocities are always found in high geothermal areas.The velocity maps indicate that a low-velocity layer may be found in the study areas.Huang Yuanmin Shen Yusong Yang Maling 2013Earthquake Research in China2013,27,4:0
