1Prediction of air flow, methane, and coal dust dispersion in a room and pillar mining face显示文摘In underground coal mines, uncontrolled accumulation of methane and fine coal dust often leads to serious incidents such as explosion. Therefore, methane and dust dispersion in underground mines is closely monitored and strictly regulated. Accordingly, significant efforts have been devoted to study methane and dust dispersion in underground mines. In this study, methane emission and dust concentration are numerically investigated using a computational fluid dynamics(CFD) approach. Various possible scenarios of underground mine configurations are evaluated. The results indicate that the presence of continuous miner adversely affects the air flow and leads to increased methane and dust concentrations.Nevertheless, it is found that such negative effect can be minimized or even neutralized by operating the scrubber fan in suction mode. In addition, it was found that the combination of scrubber fan in suction mode and brattice results in the best performance in terms of methane and dust removal from the mining face.Lu Yueze Akhtar Saad Sasmito Agus P. 2MiR-135a biogenesis and regulation in malignancy:a new hope for cancer research and therapy显示文摘MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are evolutionarily conserved small non-coding RNAs that affect posttranscriptional regulation by binding to the 3′-untranslated region of target messenger RNAs.MiR-135a is a critical miRNA that regulates gene expression,and many studies have focused on its function in cancer research.MiR-135a is dysregulated in various cancers and regulates cancer cell proliferation and invasionvia several signaling pathways,such as the MAPK and JAK2/STAT3 pathways.MiR-135a has also been found to promote or inhibit the epithelial-mesenchymal transition and chemoresistance in different cancers.Several studies have discovered the value of miR-135a as a novel biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis.These studies have suggested the potential of therapeutically manipulating miR-135a to improve the outcome of cancer patients.Although these findings have demonstrated the role of miR-135a in cancer progression and clinical applications,a number of questions remain to be answered,such as the dual functional roles of miR-135a in cancer.In this review,we summarize the available studies regarding miR-135a and cancer,including background on the biogenesis and expression of miR-135a in cancer and relevant signaling pathways involved in miR-135a-mediated tumor progression.We also focus on the clinical application of miR-135a as a biomarker in diagnosis and as a therapeutic agent or target in cancer treatment,which will provide a greater level of insight into the translational value of miR-135a.Zhe Cao Jiangdong Qiu Gang Yang Yueze Liu Wenhao Luo Lei You Lianfang Zheng Taiping Zhang 2020Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,3:4

13Assessing the cost reduction potential of CCUS cluster projects of coal-fired plants in Guangdong Province in China显示文摘Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) have garnered extensive attention as a target of carbon neutrality in China. The development trend of international CCUS projects indicates that the cluster construction of CCUS projects is the main direction of future development. The cost reduction potential of CCUS cluster projects has become a significant issue for CCUS stakeholders. To assess the cost reduction potential of CCUS cluster projects, we selected three coal-fired power plants in the coastal area of Guangdong as research targets. We initially assessed the costs of building individual CCUS projects for each plant and subsequently designed a CCUS cluster project for these plants. By comparing individual costs and CCUS cluster project costs, we assessed the cost reduction potential of CCUS cluster projects. The results show that the unit emission reduction cost for each plant with a capacity of 300 million tonnes per year is 392.34, 336.09, and 334.92 CNY/tCO_(2). By building CCUS cluster project, it could save 56.43 CNY/tCO_(2) over the average cost of individual projects (354.45 CNY/tCO_(2)) when the total capture capacity is 9 million tonnes per year (by 15.92%). Furthermore, we conducted a simulation for the scenario of a smaller designed capture capacity for each plant.
