Association of the Late Cornified Envelope-3 Genes with Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis:A Systematic Review显示文摘Psoriasis(Ps)and psoriatic arthritis(Ps A)are genetically complex diseases with strong genetic evidence.Recently, susceptibility genes for Ps and Ps A have been identified within the late cornified envelop(LCE)gene cluster, especially the cluster 3(LCE3)genes.It is noteworthy that the deletion of LCE3B and LCE3C(LCE3C_LCE3B-del)is significantly associated with these two diseases.Gene-gene interactions between LCE3 genes and other genes are associated with Ps and Ps A.LCE3 genes also have pleiotropic effect on some autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, atopic dermatitis and systemic lupus erythematosus.Further studies need to focus on the potential function of LCE3 genes in the pathogenesis of Ps and Ps A in the future. | Changbing Shen Jing Gao Xianyong Yin Yujun Sheng Liangdan Sun Yong Cui Xuejun Zhang | 2015 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2015,42,2: | 4
Polysaccharide-based nanomedicines for cancer immunotherapy:A review显示文摘Cancer immunotherapy is an effective antitumor approach through activating immune systems to eradicate tumors by immunotherapeutics. However, direct administration of“naked”immunotherapeutic agents(such as nucleic acids, cytokines, adjuvants or antigens without delivery vehicles)often results in:(1)an unsatisfactory efficacy due to suboptimal pharmacokinetics;(2)strong toxic and side effects due to low targeting(or off-target)efficiency.To overcome these shortcomings,a series of polysaccharide-based nanoparticles have been developed to carry immunotherapeutics to enhance antitumor immune responses with reduced toxicity and side effects.Polysaccharides are a family of natural polymers that hold unique physicochemical and biological properties,as they could interact with immune system to stimulate an enhanced immune response.Their structures offer versatility in synthesizing multifunctional nanocomposites, which could be chemically modified to achieve high stability and bioavailability for delivering therapeutics into tumor tissues. This review aims to highlight recent advances in polysaccharide-based nanomedicines for cancer immunotherapy and propose new perspectives on the use of polysaccharide-based immunotherapeutics. | Yujun Zeng Yufan Xiang Ruilong Sheng Helena Tomás João Rodrigues Zhongwei Gu Hu Zhang Qiyong Gong Kui Luo | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,10: | 3

Influence of pulse polarity on electron emission property of antiferroelectric ceramic显示文摘The electron emission property of a novel antiferroelectric cathode material lanthanum-doped lead zirconate stannate titanate (PLZST) on the application of positive or negative triggering voltage pulses has been investigated. All experiments were performed in a vacuum of 10^(-5) Torr and at room tempera-ture. It was discovered that there were two electron emission pulses when low positive triggering voltage was applied to the rear electrode, and three electron emission pulses when high positive trig-gering voltage was applied. However there were always two electron emission pulses when negative triggering pulses were applied. This phenomenon is proposed to be a result of both field electron emission at triple junctions and electron emission caused by polarization reversal. The experimental observations indicate that domain movement in the vicinity close to the triple junction under applica-tion of the triggering voltage pulse may be a primary origin of electron emission from PLZST. | SHENG ZhaoXuan FENG YuJun CUI Jie HUANG Xuan XU Zhuo SUN XinLi | 2008 | Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,12: | 1
Electron emission from La-doped Pb(Zr,Sn,Ti)O_3 antiferroelectrics by pulse electric field and the relevant physical mechanism显示文摘We investigate the characteristics of emission current waves of antiferroelectric cathode material lanthanum-doped lead zirconate stannate titanate (PLZST) triggered by pulse field, and analyze the relationship of the emission current waveforms with the extraction voltage. The close correlation between the triggering pulse polarity and emission current waveform observed evidences the relevant physical process of electron emission. We speculate that the primary emission may result from local phase transition and field emission in the vicinity of triple junctions, and the plasma formation may enhance the electron emission. | ZHANG LinLi FENG YuJun XU Zhuo SHENG ZhaoXuan | 2009 | Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,19: | 1
MANF brakes TLR4 signaling by competitively binding S100A8 with S100A9 to regulate macrophage phenotypes in hepatic fibrosis显示文摘The mesencephalic astrocyte-derived neurotrophic factor(MANF)has been recently identified as a neurotrophic factor, but its role in hepatic fibrosis is unknown. Here,we found that MANF was upregulated in the fibrotic liver tissues of the patients with chronic liver diseases and of mice treated with CCl4.MANF deficiency in either hepatocytes or hepatic mono-macrophages,particularly in hepatic mono-macrophages,clearly exacerbated hepatic fibrosis.Myeloid-specific MANF knockout increased the population of hepatic Ly6C^(high)macrophages and promoted HSCs activation.Furthermore,MANF-sufficient macrophages(from WT mice)transfusion ameliorated CCl4-induced hepatic fibrosis in myeloid cells-specific MANF knockout(MKO)mice.Mechanistically,MANF interacted with S100A8 to competitively block S100A8/A9 heterodimer formation and inhibited S100A8/A9-mediated TLR4-NF-κB signal activation.Pharmacologically, systemic administration of recombinant human MANF significantly alleviated CCl_(4)-induced hepatic fibrosis in both WT and hepatocytes-specific MANF knockout(HKO)mice. This study reveals a mechanism by which MANF targets S100A8/A9-TLR4 as a“brake”on the upstream of NF-κB pathway, which exerts an impact on macrophage differentiation and shed light on hepatic fibrosis treatment. | Chao Hou Dong Wang Mingxia Zhao Petek Ballar Xinru Zhang Qiong Mei Wei Wang Xiang Li Qiang Sheng Jun Liu Chuansheng Wei Yujun Shen Yi Yang Peng Wang Juntang Shao Sa Xu Fuyan Wang Yang Sun Yuxian Shen | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,10: | 0
Study on Pollination Compatibility of Superior Lonicera caerulea Individuals显示文摘In order to solve the problems including low fruit-bearing rate and low yield caused by blind plantation in production, the medium formula for pollen germination of Lonicera caerulea L. var. edulis Turcz. ex Herd.,its pollination habit,self-compatibility and open pollination compatibility between different superior individuals were investigated with superior individuals from superior wild individuals of L. caerulea in Changbai Mountains as experimental materials. Self-compatibility and open pollination compatibility among different fine plants provide theoretical basis for its further application and further selection of new varieties. The results showed the optimal medium for germination of L. caerulea pollen was 27. 5% sucrose + 100 PPM boric acid with a pH value of 6. 0. On this medium, the superior individuals L1,L2 and L3 had the pollen germination rates of 53. 4%,50. 9% and 51. 6%,respectively. The three superior individuals had no significant differences in the quantity of germinated pollen tubes, which ranged from 1 to 4. The three excellent single plants were the most likely to germinate a single pollen tube, accounting for 83. 3% of the pollen germinated and 89. 6% of the pollen germinated. Therefore,in production,it is necessary to plant L1 with a certain amount of pollination trees or plant it together with multiple species,to improve its yield. On the contrary,L2 and L3 have no need for pollination trees theoretically, but whether the fruits obtained by self-pollination and outcrossing differ in quality still needs further study. | Mengjing SUN Hounan CAO Yu YAO Yujun SHENG Chengwen ZONG | 2018 | Agricultural Biotechnology2018,7,5: | 0
Spatio-temporal variation of water salinity in mangroves revealed by continuous monitoring and its relationship to floristic diversity显示文摘Salinity is among the most critical factors limiting the growth and species distribution of coastal plants.Water salinity in estuarine ecosystems varies temporally and spatially, but the variation patterns across different time scales and salinity fluctuation have rarely been quantified. The effects of salinity on floristic diversity in mangroves are not fully understood due to the temporal and spatial heterogeneity of salinity. In this study,we monitored water salinity at an interval of 10-min over one year in three mangrove catchment areas representing the outer part, middle part, and inner part respectively of Dongzhai Bay,Hainan,China. The number of mangrove community types and dominant mangrove species of the three catchment areas were also investigated. We found that the diurnal variation and dry-season intra-month variation in water salinity were driven by tidal cycles. The seasonal variation in water salinity was mainly driven by rainfall with higher salinity occurring in the dry season and lower salinity occurring in the wet season.Spatially, water salinity was highest at the outer part, intermediate at the middle part, and lowest at the inner part of the bay.The intra-month and annual fluctuations of water salinity were highest at the middle part and lowest at the outer part of the bay.The number of mangrove community types and dominant species were lowest at the outer part, intermediate at the middle part, and highest at the inner part of the bay. These results suggest that the temporal variation of water salinity in mangroves is driven by different factors at different time scales and therefore it is necessary to measure water salinity at different time scales to get a complete picture of the saline environment that mangroves experience.Spatially, lower salinity levels benefit mangrove species richness within a bay landscape, however, further research is needed to distinguish the effects of salinity fluctuation and salinity level in affecting mangrove species richness. | Wei Wang Kun Xin Yujun Chen Yuechao Chen Zhongmao Jiang Nong Sheng Baowen Liao Yanmei Xiong | 2024 | Plant Diversity2024,46,1: | 0
