1Biofunctional magnesium coated Ti6Al4V scaffold enhances osteogenesis and angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo for orthopedic application显示文摘The insufficient osteogenesis and osseointegration of porous titanium based scaffold limit its further application.Early angiogenesis is important for scaffold survival.It is necessary to develop a multifunctional surface on titanium scaffold with both osteogenic and angiogenic properties.In this study,a biofunctional magnesium coating is deposited on porous Ti6Al4V scaffold.For osseointegration and osteogenesis analysis,in vitro studies reveal that magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V co-culture with MC3T3-E1 cells can improve cell proliferation,adhesion,extracellular matrix(ECM)mineralization and ALP activity compared with bare Ti6Al4V cocultivation.Additionally,MC3T3-E1 cells cultured with magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V show significantly higher osteogenesisrelated genes expression.In vivo studies including fluorochrome labeling,micro-computerized tomography and histological examination of magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V scaffold reveal that new bone regeneration is significantly increased in rabbits after implantation.For angiogenesis studies,magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V improve HUVECs proliferation,adhesion,tube formation,wound-healing and Transwell abilities.HUVECs cultured with magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V display significantly higher angiogenesis-related genes(HIF-1αand VEGF)expression.Microangiography analysis reveal that magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V scaffold can significantly enhance the blood vessel formation.This study enlarges the application scope of magnesium and provides an optional choice to the conventional porous Ti6Al4V scaffold with enhanced osteogenesis and angiogenesis for further orthopedic applications.Peng Gao Bo Fan Xiaoming Yu Wenwen Liu Jie Wu Lei Shi Di Yang Lili Tan Peng Wan Yulin Hao Shujun Li Wentao Hou Ke Yang Xiaokang Li Zheng Guo 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,3:15

3Magnetic granulometry of recent sediments from the Huguang Maar and its implication for provenience显示文摘To understand the origin and its climatic implications of the Huguang Maar sediments, we conducted laser grain size analysis and rock mangtic measurement for the recent deposits from the Huguang Maar and for the volcanic rocks of the caldera for comparison. The grain size distributions are dominated by clayey silts for both the bulk sediments and magnetic separates. Acquisition of isothermal remanent magnetization (IRM) and thermal demagnetization of IRM suggest (titano) magnetite as the dominating magnetic mineral in the sediments; high coercivity minerals are not detected. Therefore, the ratio of the susceptibility of anhysteretic remanent magnetization (kARM) to the weak field magnetic susceptibility (k), kARM/k can be used to estimate the grain size of magnetite. The sediments and volcanic rocks yield values of 13.7 and 11.8 for the kARM/k, respectively, corresponding to grain size values of ~0.03 μm and ~0.05 μm. The magnetic granulometry of lake sediments is distinctive from one of the Chinese loess, in which published data suggest a value of 6.0 for kARM/k, and grain size of ~0.1 μm, but is akin to the nearby volcanic rocks. Although a Loess Plateau source of the lake sediments cannot be fully ruled out, the catchment is most probably the main source. We explain the slightly finer magnetite grain size in sediments than in the volcanic rocks as being disintegrated of particles during erosion and transportation. 4Cretaceous synfolding remagnetization components revealing tectonic rotation of the middle Yangtze fold belt显示文摘To reveal the deformation process of the middle Yangtze fold belt, we conducted a paleomagnetic study on Middle Triassic limestones and Middle to Late Jurassic sandstones from Wanzhou, Chongqing. Stepwise thermal and alternating field demagnetization were used to isolate the multi-component re- manent magnetizations. The Jurassic samples were overprinted by recent geomagnetic field, while three magnetization components were isolated from the Middle Triassic samples. A low temperature component (LTC) was isolated at temperatures below 200℃, an intermediate temperature component (ITC) at 200―360℃ and a high temperature component (HTC) at 400―460℃. The LTC is distributed around the present-day Earth magnetic field, probably a viscous component. Stepwise unfolding indi- cates that the maximum precision parameters of ITC and HTC components are achieved at 33±8% and 50±27% (with 95% confidence) unfolding, respectively. The best-clustered ITC mean direction, Dec = 11.2°, Inc = 45.2° (α95 = 4.5°, N = 34), corresponding to a paleopole at 79.3°N, 219.5°E (dp = 3.6°, dm = 5.7°), is consistent with the Cretaceous reference direction of the South China Block (SCB). The best-clustered HTC mean direction (taking 70% unfolding), Dec = 24.2°, Inc =49.0° (α95 = 3.6°, N = 23), corresponding to a paleopole at 69.2°N, 195.5°E (dp =3.1°, dm = 4.8°), suggests a clockwise rotation of 12.8°±3.5°. These synfolding remagnetization components clearly reveal that a clockwise rotation happened at the middle stage of folding, thus supporting that at least part of the variation in fold axis strikes is due to orocline rotation. Combined with published data, our analysis indicates that the Wan- zhou-Xiangxi segment of the middle Yangtze fold belt experienced oroclinal bending. Furthermore, a published post-folding component isolated from the Middle Triassic Puqi Formation suggests a 27.5°±5.8° clockwise rotation, confirming that at least 50% of the observed clockwise rotations in the eastern middle Yangtze fold belt can be attributed to oroclinal bending. 9Dynamic Analyses of a Simply Supported Double-Beam System Subject to a Moving Mass with Fourier Transform Technique显示文摘In order to study the dynamic characteristics of a simply supported double-beam system under a moving mass,the system of fourth-order dynamic partial differential equations of a simply supported double-beam system was transformed into a system of second-order dynamic ordinary differential equations relative to time coordinates by performing the finite sin-Fourier Transform relative to space coordinates.And the analytical solution of the dynamic response of the simply supported double-beam system under a moving mass was obtained by solving the system of dynamic ordinary differential equations.The analytical method and ANSYS numerical method were used to calculate the dynamic responses of several simply supported double-beam systems under a moving mass at different speeds.The influences of inertial effect,mass movement speed,and Winkler-layer spring stiffness and damping on the dynamic responses of simply supported double-beam systems were analyzed.According to the study results,the analytical calculation results in this paper fit well with the ANSYS finite element numerical calculation results,demonstrating the rationality of the analytical method.The inertial effect has a significant influence on the dynamic response characteristics of the simply supported double-beam system.The simply supported double-beam system underwent several resonant speeds under a moving mass,and the Winkler-layer spring stiffness has a relatively significant effect on the vibration of the first beam.Lizhong Jiang Xilin Chai Zhihua Tan Wangbao Zhou Yulin Feng Zhipeng Lai Lan Zheng 2019Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2019,,10:1
10Crystallography,Packing Mode,and Aggregation State of Chlorinated Isomers for Efficient Organic Solar Cells显示文摘Revealing the molecular packing,intermolecular interactions,and aggregation behaviors in the nanocrystalline bulk heterojunction(BHJ)domains undertake the tasks for future materials design for efficient solar cells,especially in understanding the structure–property relationship of isomeric non-fullerene acceptors(NFAs).Theoretical calculations reveal that 2ClIC-βδ,withβ-andδ-chlorine-substituted terminal groups,achieves a relatively higher dipole moment for enhanced intermolecular interactions.More importantly,when comparing the single-crystal X-ray diffraction patterns of three isomeric NFAs,BTIC-BO4Cl-βδ,BTIC-BO4Cl-βγ,and BTIC-BO4Cl,the synergistic effect of chlorine atoms at theβ-andδ-positions endows BTIC-BO4Cl-βδbetter molecular planarity with a dihedral angle of 1.14°.In turn,this creates the shortestπ∙∙∙πdistance(3.28Å)and smallest binding energies(−51.66 kcal mol^(−1))of the three NFAs,resulting in the tightest three-dimensional network packing structure with a framework of L_(x)=14.0Åand L_(y)=13.6Å.Such a structure has multiple intermolecular interactions for better charge transfer.However,the chlorine atomat theγ-position in the other two isomers contributes to non-intermolecular interactions with subordinate packing arrangements.Subsequently,the red-shifted UV-absorption and higher electron mobility observed in neat films of BTIC-BO4Cl-βδagree well with its more ordered crystallinity.This leads to a more suitable fiber-like phase separation in the corresponding active blend,ultimately improving the device performance with superior charge transport.As a result,the highest power conversion efficiency of 17.04%with a current density of 26.07 mA cm^(−2)was obtained with the BTIC-BO4Cl-βδ-based device.The carrier dynamics test and grazing incidence wide-angle X-ray scattering measurement indicate that the packing arrangement of molecules in the nanocrystalline BHJ domains is consistent with their crystallinity.This work investigates the structure–property differences in three acceptors and emphasizes the effect of isomeric chlorine substitution,which suggests that changes in the crystal packing arrangement,especially the size of the framework,have a considerable influence on charge carrier transport and ultimately are reflected on the device efficiency elevation.Hanjian Lai Xue Lai Zi-Yi Chen Yulin Zhu Hengtao Wang Hui Chen Pu Tan Yiwu Zhu Yuanzhu Zhang Feng He 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,5:1

14Puerarin mediated miR-30b-5p targeting fibroblast activation protein against oral submucous fibrosis显示文摘Background:Puerarin(Pue)has been reported to be a natural active ingredient with multiple antifibrotic properties.This work aimed at exploring the function of Pue in oral submucousfibrosis(OSF)treatment.Methods:Human oral mucosafibroblasts(hOMF)were induced with transforming growth factor beta1(TGF-β1)and intervened with Pue.Expressions offibrosis-related markers were analyzed by Western blot and IF staining.Cell viability was characterized by the CCK-8 assay.Expressions of miR-30 family members were quantified by qRT-PCR.The correlation betweenfibroblast activation protein(FAP)and miR-30 family expression was evaluated by the Pearson correlation coefficient.Bioinformatics prediction and dual-luciferase reporter assay were employed to verify the regulation between FAP and miR-30b-5p.The specific mechanism of Pue on OSF was explored through the promotion or inhibition of miR-30b-5p.Results:After induction by TGF-β1,hOMF showed upregulated Collagen I,Collagen III,and FAP expressions,while miR-30 family expression was downregulated with miR-30b-5p being the most significant.Pue intervention inhibited the excessive proliferation of TGF-β1-induced hOMF,downregulated FAP,collagen type 3(COL3A1),collagen type 1(COL1A1),matrix metalloproteinase 1(MMP1),and matrix metalloproteinase 3(MMP3)expressions,and restored miR-30 family expression.Bioinformatics prediction and dual-luciferase reporter assay revealed that miR-30b-5p selectively inhibited FAP expression.Mechanistically,miR-30b-5p mimic suppressed the excessive proliferation of TGF-β1-induced hOMF and declinedfibrosis levels.Pue intervention significantly reversed the promotion of TGF-β1-induced OSF by miR-30b-5p inhibition.Conclusion:Pue mediated miR-30b-5p targeting FAP against OSF,which provided a theoretical basis for the pathogenesis research and Pue application in OSF.SAIFEI XIE HUI XIE JINCAI GUO JIN TAN YULIN YU MINYI ZHANG SHANG WEN 2024BIOCELL2024,48,4:0
