1Regeneration performance and carbon consumption of semi-coke and activated coke for SO_2 and NO removal显示文摘To decrease the operating cost of flue gas purification technologies based on carbon-based materials, the adsorption and regeneration performance of low-price semi-coke and activated coke were compared for SO2 and NO removal in a simulated flue gas. The functional groups of the two adsorbents before and after regeneration were characterized by a Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectrometer, and were quantitatively assessed using temperature programmed desorption(TPD) coupled with FTIR and acid–base titration. The results show that semi-coke had higher adsorption capacity(16.2% for SO2 and 38.6% for NO) than activated coke because of its higher content of basic functional groups and lactones. After regeneration, the adsorption performance of semi-coke decreased because the number of active functional groups decreased and the micropores increased. Semi-coke had better regeneration performance than activated coke. Semi-coke had a larger SO2 recovery of 7.2% and smaller carbon consumption of 12% compared to activated coke. The semi-coke carbon-based adsorbent could be regenerated at lower temperatures to depress the carbon consumption, because the SO2 recovery was only reduced a small amount.Song Ding Yuran Li Tingyu Zhu Yangyang Guo 2015Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,8:17

3Adsorption and desorption of SO_2, NO and chlorobenzene on activated carbon显示文摘Activated carbon(AC) is very effective for multi-pollutant removal; however, the complicated components in flue gas can influence each other's adsorption. A series of adsorption experiments for multicomponents, including SO_2, NO, chlorobenzene and H2 O,on AC were performed in a fixed-bed reactor. For single-component adsorption, the adsorption amount for chlorobenzene was larger than for SO_2 and NO on the AC. In the multi-component atmosphere, the adsorption amount decreased by 27.6% for chlorobenzene and decreased by 95.6% for NO, whereas it increased by a factor of two for SO_2,demonstrating that a complex atmosphere is unfavorable for chlorobenzene adsorption and inhibits NO adsorption. In contrast, it is very beneficial for SO_2 adsorption. The temperature-programmed desorption(TPD) results indicated that the binding strength between the gas adsorbates and the AC follows the order of SO_2> chlorobenzene > NO. The adsorption amount is independent of the binding strength. The presence of H2 O enhanced the component effects, while it weakened the binding force between the gas adsorbates and the AC. AC oxygen functional groups were analyzed using TPD and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) measurements. The results reveal the reason why the chlorobenzene adsorption is less affected by the presence of other components. Lactone groups partly transform into carbonyl and quinone groups after chlorobenzene desorption. 5Evaluation of sulfur trioxide detection with online isopropanol absorption method显示文摘Measurement of the SO_3 concentration in flue gas is important to estimate the acid dew point and to control corrosion of downstream equipment. SO_3 measurement is a difficult question since SO_3 is a highly reactive gas, and its concentration is generally two orders of magnitude lower than the SO_2 concentration. The SO_3 concentration can be measured online by the isopropanol absorption method; however, the reliability of the test results is relatively low. This work aims to find the error sources and to evaluate the extent of influence of each factor on the measurement results. The test results from a SO_3 analyzer showed that the measuring errors are mainly caused by the gas–liquid flow ratio, SO_2 oxidation, and the side reactions of SO_3. The error in the gas sampling rate is generally less than 13%. The isopropanol solution flow rate decreases 3% to 30% due to the volatilization of isopropanol, and accordingly, this will increase the apparent SO_3 concentration. The amount of SO_2 oxidation is linearly related to the SO_2 concentration. The side reactions of SO_3 reduce the selectivity of SO_4^(2-) to nearly 73%. As sampling temperature increases from180 to 300°C, the selectivity of SO_4^(2-) decreases from 73% to 50%. The presence of H2 O in the sample gas helps to reduce the measurement error by inhibiting the volatilization of the isopropanol and weakening side reactions. 6A new global land productivity dynamic product based on the consistency of various vegetation biophysical indicators显示文摘Changes in land productivity have been endorsed by the Inter Agency Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goals(IAEGSDGs)as key indicators for monitoring SDG 15.3.1.Multiple vegeta-tion parameters from optical remote sensing techniques have been widely utilized across different land productivity decline processes and scales.However,there is no consensus on indicator selection and their effectiveness at representing land productivity declining at different scales.This study proposes a fusion framework that incorporates the trends and consistencies within the four com-monly used remote sensing-based vegetation indicators.We ana-lyzed the differences among the four vegetation parameters in different land cover and climate zones,finally producing a new global land productivity dynamics(LPD)product with confidence level degrees.The LPD classes indicated by the four vegetation indicators(VIs)showed that all three levels(low,medium,and high confidence)of increasing area account for 23.99%of the global vegetated area and declining area account for 7.00%.The Increase high-confidence(HC)area accounted for 2.77%of the total area,and the Decline-HC accounted for 0.35%of the total area.This study demonstrates the accuracy of the high-confidence(HC)area for the evaluation of land productivity decline and increase.The“forest”landcover type and“humid”climate zone had the largest increasing and declining area but had the lowest high-confidence proportion.The data product provides an important and optional reference for the assessment of SDG 15.3.1 at global and regional scales according to the specific application target.Yuran Cui Xiaosong Li 2022Big Earth Data2022,6,1:3
7Enabling Argyrodite Sulfides as Superb Solid-State Electrolyte with Remarkable Interfacial Stability Against Electrodes显示文摘While argyrodite sulfides are getting more and more attention as highly promising solid-state electrolytes(SSEs)for solid batteries,they also suffer from the typical sulfide setbacks such as poor electrochemical compatibility with Li anode and high-voltage cathodes and serious sensitivity to humid air,which hinders their practical applications.Herein,we have devised an effective strategy to overcome these challenging shortcomings through modification of chalcogen chemistry under the guidance of theoretical modeling.The resultant Li_(6.25)PS_(4)O_(1.25)Cl_(0.75)delivered excellent electrochemical compatibility with both pure Li anode and high-voltage LiCoO_(2)cathode,without compromising the superb ionic conductivity of the pristine sulfide.Furthermore,the current SSE also exhibited highly improved stability to oxygen and humidity,with further advantage being more insulating to electrons.The remarkably enhanced compatibility with electrodes is attributed to in situ formation of helpful electrolyte–electrode interphases.The formation of in situ anode–electrolyte interphase(AEI)enabled stable Li plating/stripping in the Li|Li_(6.25)PS_(4)O_(1.25)Cl_(0.75)|Li symmetric cells at a high current density up to 1 mA cm^(-2)over 200 h and 2 mA cm^(-2)for another 100 h.The in situ amorphous nano-film cathode–electrolyte interphase(CEI)facilitated protection of the SSE from decomposition at elevated voltage.Consequently,the synergistic effect of AEI and CEI helped the LiCoO_(2)|Li_(6.25)PS_(4)O_(1.25)Cl_(0.75)|Li full-battery cell to achieve markedly better cycling stability than that using the pristine Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl as SSE,at a high area loading of the active cathode material(4 mg cm^(-2))in type-2032 coin cells.This work is to add a desirable SSE in the argyrodite sulfide family,so that high-performance solid battery cells could be fabricated without the usual need of strict control of the ambient atmosphere.Hongjie Xu Guoqin Cao Yonglong Shen Yuran Yu Junhua Hu Zhuo Wang Guosheng Shao 2022Energy & Environmental Materials2022,5,3:3
8Coupling mechanism of activated carbon mixed with dust for flue gas desulfurization and denitrification显示文摘To clarify the effect of coking dust, sintering dust and fly ash on the activity of activated carbon for various industrial flue gas desulfurization and denitrification, the coupling mechanism of the mixed activated carbon and dust was investigated to provide theoretical reference for the stable operation. The results show that coking dust had 34% desulfurization efficiency and 10% denitrification efficiency;correspondingly, sintering dust and fly ash had no obvious desulfurization and denitrification activities. For the mixture of activated carbon and dust, the coking dust reduced the desulfurization and denitrification efficiencies by blocking the pores of activated carbon, and its inhibiting effect on activated carbon was larger than its own desulfurization and denitrification activity. The sintering dust also reduced the desulfurization efficiency on the activated carbon while enhancing the denitrification efficiency. Fly ash blocked the pores of activated carbon and reduced its reaction activity. The reaction activity of coking dust mainly came from the surface functional groups, similar to that of activated carbon. The reaction activity of sintering dust mainly came from the oxidative property of Fe_2O _3, which oxidized NO to NO_2 and promoted the fast selectively catalytic reduction(SCR) of NO to form N_2. Sintering dust was activated by the joint action of activated carbon, and both had a coupling function. 9A Multifunctional Airfow Sensor Enabled by Optical Micro/nanofber显示文摘Fiber-optic anemometers have attracted an increasing attention over the past decade owing to their high sensitivity,wide dynamic range,low power consumption,and immunity to electromagnetic interference.However,expensive instruments may limit their practical applications.Herein,a new type of airfow sensor based on optical micro/nanofber(MNF)is proposed and realized.The sensing element is a fexible polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)cantilever embedded with a U-shaped MNF.Upon exposure to airfow,the induced defection of the cantilever results in a bending-dependent transmittance variation of the embedded MNF.The performance of the sensor can be engineered by tuning the cantilever thickness and/or the MNF diameter.When four cantilevers are arranged in two orthogonal directions,the transmittance of each cantilever will be dependent on both fow speed and direction.By analysing the output signals of the four cantilevers,omnidirectional airfow with fow speed within 15 m/s were experimentally measured.In addition,a variety of voice and respiratory signals can be monitored and distinguished in real-time using an optimized cantilever with a resolution of 0.012 m/s,presenting great potential for health monitoring applications.Zhang Zhang Yuran Kang Ni Yao Jing Pan Wen Yu Yao Tang Yue Xu Liqiang Wang Lei Zhang Limin Tong 2021Advanced Fiber Materials2021,3,6:2

16Effects of degree of substitution on stearic acid-modified Bletilla striata polysaccharides nanoparticles and interactions between nanoparticles and bovine serum albumin显示文摘Three kinds of stearic acid(SA)-modified Bletilla striata polysaccharides(BSPs-SA) conjugates with different degrees of substitution(DS) values of SA moiety were synthesized. The impacts of the DS values on the properties of BSPs-SA self-aggregated nanoparticles were determined. The interactions between bovine serum albumin(BSA) and the BSPs-SA nanoparticles were characterized using spectroscopic observations. The cytotoxicity was measured through 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide(MTT) method. The critical aggregation concentration and the average particle sizes reduced from 16.81 μg/mL to 3,09 μg/mL and 192.70 nm to 125.29 nm when the DS values of SA segment increased from 4.98% to 12.94%, respectively. The cumulative release percentage of docetaxel in BSPs-SA nanoparticles decreased whereas encapsulation efficiency and loading capacity increased along with the DS increase of SA moiety. The fluorescence and ultraviolet results demonstrated that the conformation of BSA did not show significant change after incubating with BSPs-SA nanoparticles.Besides, the mass ratio of BSA/BSPs-SA affected their affinity intensity. 17Targeting RAS phosphorylation in cancer therapy:Mechanisms and modulators显示文摘RAS,a member of the small GTPase family,functions as a binary switch by shifting between inactive GDP-loaded and active GTP-loaded state.RAS gain-of-function mutations are one of the leading causes in human oncogenesis,accounting for w19%of the global cancer burden.As a well-recognized target in malignancy,RAS has been intensively studied in the past decades.Despite the sustained efforts,many failures occurred in the earlier exploration and resulted in an‘undruggable’feature of RAS proteins.Phosphorylation at several residues has been recently determined as regulators for wild-type and mutated RAS proteins.Therefore,the development of RAS inhibitors directly targeting the RAS mutants or towards upstream regulatory kinases supplies a novel direction for tackling the anti-RAS difficulties.A better understanding of RAS phosphorylation can contribute to future therapeutic strategies.In this review,we comprehensively summarized the current advances in RAS phosphorylation and provided mechanistic insights into the signaling transduction of associated pathways.Importantly,the preclinical and clinical success in developing anti-RAS drugs targeting the upstream kinases and potential directions of harnessing allostery to target RAS phosphorylation sites were also discussed.Yuran Qiu Yuanhao Wang Zongtao Chai Duan Ni Xinyi Li Jun Pu Jie Chen Jian Zhang Shaoyong Lu Chuan Lv Mingfei Ji 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,11:1
