1Microbubble resonators combined with a digital optical frequency comb for high-precision air-coupled ultrasound detectors显示文摘Fast and sensitive air-coupled ultrasound detection is essential for many applications such as radar,ultrasound imaging,and defect detection.Here we present a novel approach based on a digital optical frequency comb(DOFC)technique combined with high-Q optical microbubble resonators(MBRs).DOFC enables precise spectroscopy on resonators that can trace the ultrasound pressure with its resonant frequency shift with femtometer resolution and sub-microsecond response time.The noise equivalent pressure of air-coupled ultrasound as low as 4.4 m Pa∕pHz is achieved by combining a high-Q(~3×10~7)MBR with the DOFC method.Moreover,it can observe multi-resonance peaks from multiple MBRs to directly monitor the precise spatial location of the ultrasonic source.This approach has a potential to be applied in 3 D air-coupled photoacoustic and ultrasonic imaging.JINGSHUN PAN BIN ZHANG ZHENGYONG LIU JIAXIN ZHAO YUANHUA FENG LEI WAN ZHAOHUI LI 2020Photonics Research2020,8,3:6
2Tuning Superhydrophobic Materials with Negative Surface Energy Domains显示文摘Hydrophobic/superhydrophobic materials with intrinsic water repellence are highly desirable in engineering fields including antiicing in aerocrafts,antidrag and anticorrosion in ships,and antifog and self-cleaning in optical lenses,screen,mirrors,and windows.However,superhydrophobic material should have small surface energy(SE)and a micro/nanosurface structure which can reduce solid-liquid contact significantly.The low SE is generally found in organic materials with inferior mechanical properties that is undesirable in engineering.Intriguingly,previous theoretical calculations have predicted a negative SE forθ-alumina(θ-Al_(2)O_(3)),which inspires us to use it as a superhydrophobic material.Here,we report the experimental evidence of the small/negative SE ofθ-Al_(2)O_(3) and aθ-Al_(2)O_(3)-based superhydrophobic coating prepared by one-step scalable plasma arcing oxidation.The superhydrophobic coating has complete ceramic and desired micro/nanostructure and therefore exhibits excellent aging resistance,wear resistance,corrosion resistance,high-temperature tolerance,and burning resistance.Owing to the rarity of the small/negative SE in inorganic materials,the concept to reduce SE byθ-Al_(2)O_(3) may foster a blowout to develop robust superhydrophobicity by complete inorganic materials.Zhongzhen Wu Liangliang Liu Shunning Li Shunping Ji Pinghu Chen Suihan Cui Zhengyong Ma Yuchang Weng Qian Huang Zhongcan Wu Hao Wu Yuan Lin Ricky KYFu Hai Lin Xiubo Tian Paul KChu Feng Pan 2019Research2019,,1:6
3Industrial and medical applications of fiber Bragg gratings(Invited Paper)显示文摘The uses of optical fibers are numerous, and over the past few decades, they have extended from optical fiber communications to a wide variety of sensing applications. In particular, fiber Bragg grating(FBG) sensors inscribed in single-mode optical fibers offer significant advantages over more conventional electrical sensors and have been successfully deployed in many different industries. 5Contactless vital signs monitoring based on few‐mode and multi‐core fibers显示文摘Few-mode and multi-core fibers are proposed and demonstrated for contactless vital signs monitoring in this paper.In-line optical fiber interferometers using few-mode and multi-core fibers are designed and offset splicing is utilized for mode excitation.Extinction ratio and insertion loss are analyzed experimentally under different offset distances.The fabricated in-line interferometers are packaged under the mattress to realize contactless vital signs signals collection.By using filtering techniques,both respiration and heartbeat signals can be recovered successfully,and respiration as well as heartbeat ratio are obtained.Mode excitation and interference are theoretically analyzed in few-mode fiber while curvature sensing experiments using multi-core fiber interferometer are performed to verify its excellent performance on vital signs monitoring.The successful demonstration on contactless vital signs monitoring makes few-mode and multi-core fibers promising candidates for healthcare applications.Fengze Tan Weimin Lyu Shuyang Chen Zhengyong Liu Changyuan Yu 2020Opto-Electronic Advances2020,3,5:2
6Fusing Fixed and Hint Landmarks on Crowd Paths for Automatically Constructing Wi-Fi Fingerprint Database显示文摘In typical Wi-Fi based indoor positioning systems employing fingerprint model,plentiful fingerprints need to be trained by trained experts or technician,which extends labor costs and restricts their promotion.In this paper,a novel approach based on crowd paths to solve this problem is presented,which collects and constructs automatically fingerprints database for anonymous buildings through common crowd customers.However,the accuracy degradation problem may be introduced as crowd customers are not professional trained and equipped.Therefore,we define two concepts:fixed landmark and hint landmark,to rectify the fingerprint database in the practical system,in which common corridor crossing points serve as fixed landmark and cross point among different crowd paths serve as hint landmark.Machinelearning techniques are utilized for short range approximation around fixed landmarks and fuzzy logic decision technology is applied for searching hint landmarks in crowd traces space.Besides,the particle filter algorithm is also introduced to smooth the sample points in crowd paths.We implemented the approach on off-the-shelf smartphones and evaluate the performance.Experimental results indicate that the approach can availably construct WiFi fingerprint database without reduce the localization accuracy.HUANG Zhengyong XIA Jun YU Hui GUAN Yunfeng GAN Xiaoying LIU Jing 2015China Communications2015,12,1:2

13Spatiotemporal variation of land surface temperature and its driving factors in Xinjiang,China显示文摘Land surface temperature(LST) directly affects the energy balance of terrestrial surface systems and impacts regional resources, ecosystem evolution, and ecosystem structures. Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is located at the arid Northwest China and is extremely sensitive to climate change. There is an urgent need to understand the distribution patterns of LST in this area and quantitatively measure the nature and intensity of the impacts of the major driving factors from a spatial perspective, as well as elucidate the formation mechanisms. In this study, we used the MOD11C3 LST product developed on the basis of Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS) to conduct regression analysis and determine the spatiotemporal variation and differentiation pattern of LST in Xinjiang from 2000 to 2020. We analyzed the driving mechanisms of spatial heterogeneity of LST in Xinjiang and the six geomorphic zones(the Altay Mountains, Junggar Basin, Tianshan Mountains, Tarim Basin, Turpan-Hami(Tuha) Basin, and Pakakuna Mountain Group) using geographical detector(Geodetector) and geographically weighted regression(GWR) models. The warming rate of LST in Xinjiang during the study period was 0.24℃/10a, and the spatial distribution pattern of LST had obvious topographic imprints, with 87.20% of the warming zone located in the Gobi desert and areas with frequent human activities, and the cooling zone mainly located in the mountainous areas. The seasonal LST in Xinjiang was at a cooling rate of 0.09℃/10a in autumn, and showed a warming trend in other seasons. Digital elevation model(DEM), latitude, wind speed, precipitation, normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI), and sunshine duration in the single-factor and interactive detections were the key factors driving the LST changes. The direction and intensity of each major driving factor on the spatial variations of LST in the study area were heterogeneous. The negative feedback effect of DEM on the spatial differentiation of LST was the strongest. Lower latitudes, lower vegetation coverage, lower levels of precipitation, and longer sunshine duration increased LST. Unused land was the main heat source landscape, water body was the most important heat sink landscape, grassland and forest land were the land use and land cover(LULC) types with the most prominent heat sink effect, and there were significant differences in different geomorphic zones due to the influences of their vegetation types, climatic conditions, soil types, and human activities. 15Sedimentary architecture and distribution of intra-platform shoal in sequence framework of Permian Changxing Formation in central Sichuan Basin,SW China显示文摘Based on the comprehensive analysis of core, thin section, logging and seismic data, this study carried out the identification and comparison of Permian Changxing Formation sequences, clarified the typical sedimentary architectures of intra-platform shoal, investigated the vertical and horizontal development and distribution of intra-platform shoal in each sequence, and thus established the sedimentary evolution model of shoal body. The study results are reflected in four aspects.First, there are two complete third-order sequences(SQ1 and SQ2) in Changxing Formation in central Sichuan Basin. SQ1 is generally thick in the north and thin in the south, and SQ2 shows a thickness differentiation trend of “two thicknesses and three thinnesses”. Second, the Changxing Formation in central Sichuan Basin mainly develops intra-platform shoal, inter-shoal sea and intra-platform depression subfacies. In the vertical direction, the intra-platform shoal mainly presents two typical sedimentary sequences: stable superposed and high-frequency interbedded. Third, the stable superimposed sedimentary sequence is developed in the shoal belt at the edge of intra-platform depression, which is composed of two shoal-forming periods and located in the highstand systems tracts(HSTs) of SQ1 and SQ2. The high-frequency interbedded sedimentary sequence is developed in the southern shoal belt of intra-platform depression, which is composed of four shoal-forming periods and mainly located in the HST of SQ2. Fourth, during the SQ1 deposition, the intra-platform shoal was mainly developed at the edge of the intra-platform depression on the north side of the study area, and the inter-shoal sea subfacies was mainly developed on the south side. During the SQ2 deposition, the intra-platform shoal was widely developed in the area, forming two nearly parallel intra-platform shoal belts.
