2Energy measurement system of a large-aperture high power laser experiment platform显示文摘An energy measurement system in a large-aperture high power laser experiment platform is introduced. The entire measurement system includes five calorimeters, which carry out the energy measurement of the fundamental frequency before the frequency conversion unit, remaining fundamental frequency, remaining second-harmonics, third-harmonics,as well as the energy balance measurement after the frequency conversion unit. Combinational indirect calibration and direct calibration are employed to calibrate the sampling coefficients of the calorimeters. The analysis of the data showed that, regarding the energy balance coefficients, combinational calibration approach gives a higher precision, and leads to an energy balance with 1%; and regarding the energy sampling coefficients for the various wavelengths after the frequency conversion, the results from direct and combinational calibration are consistent. 3Measurement of Raman scattering gain coefficient in large-aperture DKDP crystals irradiated by 351 nm pulses显示文摘Transverse stimulated Raman scattering (TSRS) gain coefficient in a large aperture 65% deu terated potassium dihydrogen phosphate (DKDP) is measured at 351 nm. The measurement involves the use of an optical fiber sensor system to detect Raman scattering light in the DKDP crystal. A Raman scattering gain coefficient of 0. 109 cm/GW is obtained and will be used to set upper limit of the DKDP crystals in our laser fa cility to avoid the TSRS induced energy loss and laser damage. The effect of bulk damage on growth behavior of TSRS is also examined and it is found that bulk damage has little impact on the TSRS growth.
