1Hes1 Knockdown Exacerbates Ischemic Stroke Following tMCAO by Increasing ER Stress-Dependent Apoptosis via the PERK/ eIF2a/ATF4/CHOP Signaling Pathway显示文摘Apoptosis induced by endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress plays a crucial role in mediating brain damage after ischemic stroke.Recently,Hes1(hairy and enhancer of split 1)has been implicated in the regulation of ER stress,but whether it plays a functional role after ischemic stroke and the underlying mechanism remain unclear.In this study,using a mouse model of ischemic stroke via transient middle cerebral artery occlusion(tMCAO),we found that Hes1 was induced following brain injury,and that siRNA-mediated knockdown of Hes1 increased the cerebral infarction and worsened the neurological outcome,suggesting that Hes1 knockdown exacerbates ischemic stroke.In addition,mechanistically,Hes1 knockdown promoted apoptosis and activated the PERK/eIF2a/ATF4/CHOP signaling pathway after tMCAO.These results suggest that Hes1 knockdown promotes ER stress-induced apoptosis.Furthermore,inhibition of PERK with the specific inhibitor GSK2606414 markedly attenuated the Hes1 knockdown-induced apoptosis and the increased cerebral infarction as well as the worsened neurological outcome following tMCAO,implying that the protection of Hes1 against ischemic stroke is associated with the amelioration of ER stress via modulating the PERK/eIF2a/ATF4/CHOP signaling pathway.Taken together,these results unveil the detrimental role of Hes1 knockdown after ischemic stroke and further relate it to the regulation of ER stress-induced apoptosis,thus highlighting the importance of targeting ER stress in the treatment of ischemic stroke.Yueyong Li Yingjun Zhang Huangde Fu Huadong Huang Qifeng Lu Houji Qin Yingning Wu Huatuo Huang Guizhen Mao Zhongheng Wei Pinhu Liao 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,2:12

5Survey of Occurrence and Damage of Xylotrechus quadripes Chevr on Simao Coffee in Pu'er City显示文摘The occurrence and damage of Xylotrechus quadripes Chevr were investigated in different time points and micro environments in Simao south island river coffee test demonstration field. The results showed that X. quadripes mainly damaged 5-year-old coffee trees. X. quadripes occurred one generation per year in Simao region,and the larval stage lasted 296-322 d. The adult could be found in four seasons because of different development progress and overlapping generations. In different micro environments,X. quadripes were mainly distributed in mixed forests and the coffee land in sunny slope. The adult enjoyed sunshine on the coffee trees at noon. 10A single nucleotide polymorphism in XRCC4 gene is associated with reduced colorectal cancer susceptibility in female显示文摘Objective:To investigate the association of XRCC4 polymorphic variants at G-1394T(rs6869366) with colorectal cancer susceptibility.Methods:In this hospital-based case-control study,the association of XRCC4 polymorphism with colorectal cancer risk in Chinese population was investigated.In total,171 patients with colorectal cancer and 171 healthy individuals matched for age and gender were selected.The genomic DNAs of the patients and controls were extracted from peripheral blood and the 300 bp target DNA was amplified with Polymerase Chain Reaction.The products were then digested with restriction endonuclease HincII,followed by agarose electrophoresis to identify the genotype.Results:We found a significant difference in the frequency of the XRCC4 G-1394T genotype between the colorectal cancer and control groups in female(1/127 vs 8/122,P<0.05).Those with G/T at XRCC4 G-1394T showed a decreased risk of colorectal cancer susceptibility compared with those with T/T(OR 0.113,95%CI 0.014-0.932).However,in overall population or in male,there was no significant difference of the distribution between the colorectal cancer and control groups.Conclusion:Our findings suggested that the G allele of XRCC4 G-1394T were associated with decreased risk of colorectal cancer susceptibility in female.Zhang Zhongheng Hu Weiling 2011Journal of Medical Colleges of PLA(China)2011,26,2:1

13Hydrothermal-treated Pt/Al_(2)O_(3) as an excellent catalyst for toluene total oxidation显示文摘The preparation of highly active supported noble metal catalysts with a low noble metal loading has always been the ultimate goal of researchers working on catalysis.Hydrothermally treated Pt/Al_(2)O_(3)(Pt/Al_(2)O_(3)-H)exhibits better catalytic activity than that(Pt/Al_(2)O_(3)-C)treated via the conventional calcination approach.At the high space velocity of100,000 m L/(g·hr),the temperature that correspond to 50%toluene conversion(T50)of Pt/Al_(2)O_(3)-H is 115℃ lower than that of Pt/Al_(2)O_(3)-C,and the turnover frequency(TOF)value can reach 0.0756 sec-1.The mechanism by which the hydrothermal approach enhances Pt/Al_(2)O_(3) activity has been investigated.The structure associated with the high catalytic activity of Pt nanoparticles(NPs)can be retained via hydrothermal treatment.Furthermore,the support is transformed to AlO(OH)with numerous surface hydroxyl groups,which in turn can facilitate the adsorption of toluene.And the synergistic effects of Pt NPs and AlO(OH)increases the contents of Pt in oxidation state and active oxygen,which are beneficial for toluene oxidation.Xiao Chen Yong Wang Jianyu Li Zhongheng Hu Ying Zhou Huayan Liu Hanfeng Lu 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,6:1
