1Velocity Modeling and Inversion Techniques for Locating Microseismic Events in Unconventional Reservoirs显示文摘A velocity model is an important factor influencing microseismic event locations.We review the velocity modeling and inversion techniques for locating microseismic events in exploration for unconventional oil and gas reservoirs.We first describe the geological and geophysical characteristics of reservoir formations related to hydraulic fracturing in heterogeneity,anisotropy,and variability,then discuss the influences of velocity estimation,anisotropy model,and their time-lapse changes on the accuracy in determining microseismic event locations,and then survey some typical methods for building velocity models in locating event locations.We conclude that the three tangled physical attributes of reservoirs make microseismic monitoring very challenging.The uncertainties in velocity model and ignoring its anisotropies and its variations in hydraulic fracturing can cause systematic mislocations of microseismic events which are unacceptable in microseismic monitoring.So,we propose some potential ways for building accurate velocity models.Jianzhong Zhang Han Liu Zhihui Zou Zhonglai Huang 2015Journal of Earth Science2015,26,4:7
2A novel solid-gas process to synthesize LaMnO_3 perovskite with high surface area and excellent activity for methane combustion显示文摘A novel solid-gas route to prepare LaMnO3 perovskite catalysts for methane combustion has been developed. The method was carried out using a polyvinylpyrrolidone-metal complex as precursor via a solid-gas process to obtain the target materials. The structure and properties of the precursor and the catalysts were characterized by FT-IR, TG-DSC, XRD and N2 adsorption-desorption techniques. 3A Layer-Stripping Method for 3D Near-Surface Velocity Model Building Using Seismic First-Arrival Times显示文摘In order to improve the efficiency of 3D near-surface velocity model building,we develop a layer-stripping method using seismic first-arrival times.The velocity model within a Common Mid-Point(CMP) gather is assumed to be stratified into thin layers,and the velocity of each layer varies linearly with depth.The thickness and velocity of the top layer are estimated using minimum-offset first-arrival data in a CMP gather.Then the top layer is stripped and the second layer becomes a new top layer.After removing the effect of the top layer from the former first-arrival data,the new first-arrival data are obtained and then used to estimate the parameters of the second layer.In this manner,the velocity model,being regarded as that at a CMP location,is built layer-by-layer from the top to the bottom.A 3D near-surface velocity model is then formed using the velocity models at all CMP locations.The tests on synthetic and observed seismic data show that the layer-stripping method can be used to build good near-surface velocity models for static correction,and its computation speed is approximately hundred times faster than that of grid tomography.Taikun Shi Jianzhong Zhang Zhonglai Huang Changkun Jin 2015Journal of Earth Science2015,26,4:6
4PREPARATION OF WC-Co POWDER BY DIRECT REDUCTION AND CARBONIZATION显示文摘A new approach to produce superfine WC-Co powder by direct reduction and carbonization is proposed.Water-soluble salts containing W and Co were used as raw materials. Tungsten and cobalt oxide powder (CoWO4/WO3)was first formed by a spray-pyrolysis technique, which was then mixed with carbon black and converted to WC-Co composite powder at 950℃ for 4 h in N2 atmosphere. 5Time-Variant Reliability-Based Multi-Objective Fuzzy Design Optimization for Anti-Roll Torsion Bar of EMU显示文摘Although various types of anti-roll torsion bars have been developed to inhibit excessive roll angle of the electric multiple unit(EMU)car body,it is critical to ensure the reliability of structural design due to the complexity of the problems involving time and uncertainties.To address this issue,amulti-objective fuzzy design optimization model is constructed considering time-variant stiffness and strength reliability constraints for the anti-roll torsion bar.A hybrid optimization strategy combining the design of experiment(DoE)sampling and non-linear programming by quadratic lagrangian(NLPQL)is presented to deal with the design optimization model.To characterize the effect of time on the structural performance of the torsion bar,the continuous-time model combined with Ito lemma is proposed to establish the time-variant stiffness and strength reliability constraints.Fuzzy mathematics is employed to conduct uncertainty quantification for the design parameters of the torsion bar.A physical programming approach is used to improve the designer’s preference and to make the optimization results more consistent with engineering practices.Moreover,the effectiveness of the proposed method has been validated by comparing with current methods in a practical engineering case.Pengpeng Zhi Zhonglai Wang Bingzhi Chen Ziqiang Sheng 2022Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,5:5
6Discrete Stress-strength Interference Model of Reliability Analysis under Multi-operating Conditions显示文摘The conventional stress-strength interference(SSI) model is a basic model for reliability analysis of mechanical components. In this model, the component reliability is defined as the probability of the strength being larger than the stress, where the component stress is generally represented by a single random variable(RV). But for a component under multi-operating conditions, its reliability can not be calculated directly by using the SSI model. The problem arises from that the stress on a component under multi-operating conditions can not be described by a single RV properly. Current research concerning the SSI model mainly focuses on the calculation of the static or dynamic reliability of the component under single operation condition. To evaluate the component reliability under multi-operating conditions, this paper uses multiple discrete RVs based on the actual stress range of the component firstly. These discrete RVs have identical possible values and different corresponding probability value, which are used to represent the multi-operating conditions of the component. Then the component reliability under each operating condition is calculated, respectively, by employing the discrete SSI model and the universal generating function technique, and from this the discrete SSI model under multi-operating conditions is proposed. Finally the proposed model is applied to evaluate the reliability of a transmission component of the decelerator installed in an aeroengine. The reliability of this component during taking-off, cruising and landing phases of an aircraft are calculated, respectively. 7Impact and Solutions of Seawater Heterogeneity on Wide-Angle Tomographic Inversion of Crustal Velocities in Deep Marine Environments—Numerical Studies显示文摘The seawater column is typically taken as a homogeneous velocity layer in wide-angle crustal seismic surveys in marine environments. However, heterogeneities in salinity and temperature throughout the seawater layer result insignificant lateral variations in its seismic velocity, especially in deep marine environments. Failure to compensate for these velocity inhomogeneities will introduce significant artifacts in constructing crustal velocity models using seismic tomography. In this study, we conduct numerical experiments to investigate the impact of heterogeneous seismic velocities in seawater on tomographic inversion for crustal velocity models. Experiments that include lateral variation in seawater velocity demonstrated that the modeled crustal velocities were contaminated by artifacts from tomographic inversions when assuming a homogeneous water layer. To suppress such artifacts, we propose two strategies:(1) simultaneous inversion of water velocities and the crustal velocities;(2) layer-stripping inversion during which to first invert for seawater velocity and then correct the travel times before inverting for crustal velocities. The layer-stripping inversion significantly improves the modeling of variation in seawater velocity when preformed with seismic sensors deployed on the ocean bottom and in the water column. 8Oxidative coupling of methane over BaCl_2-TiO_2-SnO_2 catalyst显示文摘The performance of BaCl2-TiO2-SnO2 composite catalysts in oxidative coupling of methane reaction has been investigated. A series of BaCl2-TiO2, BaCl2-SnO2, TiO2-SnO2, and BaCl2-TiO2-SnO2 catalysts were prepared, and characterized by BET, XRD, XPS, CO2-TPD and H2-TPR, respectively. The synergistic effect among BaCl2, SnO2 and TiO2 compositions enhances the catalytic performance. The best C2 selectivity and ethylene yield are obtained on the catalyst with the equal molar amount of the three compositions (BaCl2 : TiO2 : SnO2 molar ratio of 1 : 1 : 1). 10Effects of Ultraviolet Radiation,High Temperature and Alkaline Chemicals on Ageing of Silicone Sealants Used in Ballastless Track Expansion Joints显示文摘Expansion joints silicone sealants used in high speed railway construction suffer from ultraviolet radiation(UV), high temperature combined with the alkaline environment. To evaluate the durability and analyse the ageing mechanism, six one-component silicone sealants from different companies were selected and subjected to accelerated ageing tests including UV, thermal and alkali ageing treatments. The ageing effects on the performance of the sealants were evaluated via the appearance and the mechanical property changes. The changes in molecular structure were studied by means of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and thermogravimetry(TG). This study revealed that different materials displayed different sensibilities to the ageing methods, in which 15 %-20 % decreases of mechanical properties could be observed under UV radiation test, owning the most significant effects. Structure analysis showed that the physical changes of aggregative states were the principal factors to the performance, along with the chemical slight changes. 11Pre-and post-zygotic reproductive isolation between co-occurring Mussaenda pubescens var.alba and M. shikokiana(Rubiaceae)显示文摘Reproductive isolation is a fundamental requirement for speciation and includes several sequential stages.Few studies have determined the relative contributions of pre-and post-zygotic reproductive isolation in plants,especially between relative species with clear differentiation in flower form.To investigate the mechanisms responsible for reproductive isolation in sympatric Mussaenda pubescens var.alba and Mussaenda shikokiana(Rubiaceae)in Guangxi Province,China,we made observations of flowering phenology,patterns of insect visitation,and conducted pollination experiments,including artificial hybridization.The two species had overlapping flowering times and were pollinated by overlapping pollinators;however,their relative importance differed significantly with M.pubescens visited more commonly by bees and M.shikokiana more frequently by butterflies.Using vegetative and floral characters and molecular evidence based on nuclear ribosomal internal and external transcribed spacer regions we detected seven naturally occurring hybrids among a sample of approximately 125 individuals.Hybrids werecharacterized by morphologies that most closely resembled their maternal parents based on chloroplast evidence.Studies of artificially synthesized and natural hybrids demonstrated that hybrid seed had very low germination rates and naturally occurring hybrids exhibited pollen sterility.Post-zygotic reproductive isolating mechanisms play a primary role in limiting gene exchange between co-occurring species and maintaining species integrity in areas of sympatry.Shi Chen Zhonglai Luo Dianxiang Zhang 2014Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2014,56,4:2

13Mutagenesis reveals that the rice OsMPT3 gene is an important osmotic regulatory factor显示文摘Plant mitochondrial phosphate transporters regulate phosphate transport and ATP synthesis. Determining whether they function in abiotic stress response process would shed light on their response to salt stress. We used the CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing system to mutagenize two mitochondrial phosphate transporters, OsMPT3;1 and OsMPT3;2, to investigate their regulatory roles under salt stress. Two cas9(CRISPR-associated protein9)-free homozygous mutants, mpt33 and mpt30, were confirmed to be stable. Both OsMPT3;1 and OsMPT3;2 were markedly induced by salt stress, and their mutagenesis strongly inhibited growth and development, especially under salt stress. Mutagenesis sharply reduced the accumulation of ATP, phosphate, calcium, soluble sugar, and proline and increased osmotic potential, malondialdehyde, and Na^+ /K^+ ratio under salt stress. Both mutants demonstrate normal growth and development in the presence of ATP, revealing high sensitivity to exogenous ATP under salt stress. The mutants showed lowered rates of Na^+ efflux but also of K^+ and Ca^(2+) influx under salt stress. Mutagenesis of OsMPT3;2 altered the enrichment profiles of differentially expressed genes involved mainly in synthesis of secondary metabolites, metabolism of glycolysis, pyruvate, tricarboxylic acid cycle, in response to salt stress. The mutant displayed significant accumulation differences in 14 metabolites involved in 17 metabolic pathways, and strongly up-regulated the accumulation of glutamine, a precursor in proline synthesis, under salt stress. These findings suggest that the OsMPT3 gene modulates phosphate transport and energy supply for ATP synthesis and triggers changes in accumulation of ions and metabolites participating in osmotic regulation in rice under salt stress, thus increasing rice salt tolerance. 20Reproductive isolation between sympatric sister species, Mussaenda kwangtungensis and M. pubescens var. alba显示文摘Reproductive isolation de fi nes the biological species concept and plays a key role in the formation and maintenance of species. The relative contributions of different isolating stages has been suggested to be closely associated with phylogenetic relatedness. Few studies have focused on the relative contributions of pre- versus postzygotic mechanisms, and even fewer have been conducted under strict phylogenetic frameworks. Pre- and post-zygotic reproductive isolation stages have been investigated in the sister species Mussaenda kwangtungensis and M. pubescens var. alba. The two species have partly overlapping distribution ranges and fl owering times, while the principal pollinators differed strikingly for them, demonstrating strong pre-zygotic isolations. Natural hybrids were detected by simple sequence repeat markers and their maternal parents were identi fi ed based on chloroplast gene sequences. Five out of 81 individuals were suggested to be hybrids that fall into the categories F2, BC1, and BC2 by theNew Hybrids analysis. Interspeci fi c crossings resulted in signi fi cantly reduced fruit set and seed germination rates.Phylogenetic analysis revealed short Kimura-2-parameter distance between M. kwangtungensis and M. pubescens var.alba.
