6Proton accumulation accelerated by heavy chemical nitrogen fertilization and its long-term impact on acidifying rate in a typical arable soil in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain显示文摘Cropland productivity has been significantly impacted by soil acidification resulted from nitrogen(N) fertilization, especially as a result of excess ammoniacal N input. With decades' intensive agricultural cultivation and heavy chemical N input in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain, the impact extent of induced proton input on soil p H in the long term was not yet clear. In this study, acidification rates of different soil layers in the soil profile(0–120 cm) were calculated by p H buffer capacity(p HBC) and net input of protons due to chemical N incorporation. Topsoil(0–20 cm) p H changes of a long-term fertilization field(from 1989) were determined to validate the predicted values. The results showed that the acid and alkali buffer capacities varied significantly in the soil profile, averaged 692 and 39.8 mmolc kg–1 p H–1, respectively. A significant(P<0.05) correlation was found between p HBC and the content of calcium carbonate. Based on the commonly used application rate of urea(500 kg N ha–1 yr–1), the induced proton input in this region was predicted to be 16.1 kmol ha–1 yr–1, and nitrification and plant uptake of nitrate were the most important mechanisms for proton producing and consuming, respectively. The acidification rate of topsoil(0–20 cm) was estimated to be 0.01 unit p H yr–1 at the assumed N fertilization level. From 1989 to 2009, topsoil p H(0–20 cm) of the long-term fertilization field decreased from 8.65 to 8.50 for the PK(phosphorus, 150 kg P2O5 ha–1 yr–1; potassium, 300 kg K2 O ha–1 yr–1; without N fertilization), and 8.30 for NPK(nitrogen, 300 kg N ha–1 yr–1; phosphorus, 150 kg P2O5 ha–1 yr–1; potassium, 300 kg K2 O ha–1 yr–1), respectively. Therefore, the apparent soil acidification rate induced by N fertilization equaled to 0.01 unit p H yr–1, which can be a reference to the estimated result, considering the effect of atmospheric N deposition, crop biomass, field management and plant uptake of other nutrients and cations. 7Experimental investigation on breaching of embankments显示文摘Breaching of embankments has recently drawn more and more attention due to its importance in the development of early warning systems for embankment failures,in the evacuation plans of people at risk,in the design method of embankments based on a risk-approach,etc. The erosion process observed during embankment breaching tests in the laboratory and the analysis of the results are described in this paper. Five embankments,one constructed with pure sand,four with different sand-silt-clay mixtures were tested. The height of the embankments was 75 cm and the width at the crest was 60 cm. Examination of the data from these tests indicated that headcut erosion played an important role in the process of breach growth in the embankments made of cohesive soil mixtures. Flow shear erosion,fluidization of the headcut slope surface,undermining of the headcut due to impinging jet scour and discrete soil mechanical slope mass failure from the headcut were all observed during these tests. For the embankment constructed with pure sand,the breach erosion process was dominated by shear erosion,which led to a gradual and relatively uniform retreat of the downstream slope. 11TOLERANCE ANALYSIS OF A PLANETARY GEAR REDUCER UNDER CAD CIRCUMSTANCE显示文摘Tolerance analysis of a planetary reducer is conducted. By focusing the serially-arrangedparts in the central line and setting an appropriate dimension as a 'gap', worst-case tolerance analysismethod and statistical (RSS) tolerance analysis are used, and then a tolerance-analyzing tool CE/TOLis introduced. The acceptable value range of the 'gap' is from 1.5 mm to 3.5 mm. 14Microstructural Analysis of Ultrasonic Welded AA6061 by Electron Backscattered Diffraction显示文摘Ultrasonic welding can be used to join plastic and metal through high-frequency (more than 20 kHz) acoustic vibrations. Aluminium alloy is widely used in electronics, automotive and aerospace. The mechanical vibrations used during ultrasonic metal welding are introduced horizontally. During ultrasonic metal welding, a complex process is triggered involving static forces, oscillating shearing forces and a moderate temperature increase in the welding area. As the energy is introduced to the weld zone, there are three important phenomena occurring which are surface effect, volume effect and thermal effect. As it is known, microstructure is directly linked to the mechanical properties including fatigue resistance, fatigue life and fracture strength. So the microstructure analysis is important to evaluate the ultrasonically welded aluminium alloy’s properties. Also, mechanical properties of metal sheets, such as plastic anisotropy and formability, can be improved by a proper crystallographic texture control. That means the texture has great influence on the plastic anisotropy of the final recrystallized sheets. Optical microscopy (OM) can be used for showing the grain size and grain shape. However, to examine the relationship between mechanical behaviour and microstructure of the weldment, optical microscopy(OM) is not sufficient. OM cannot delineate a grain structure in the weld zone. The etched surface exhibited granularity at the micron level, but it was not clear if that reflected the grain structure. Electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) in an SEM has become the most widely used technique for determination of microtexture. In this research, high-resolution electron backscatter diffraction is used to study the effects of the vibration on the evolution of microstructure in AA6061. The orientation image maps (OIM), polar figures (PF), and orientation distribution functions (ODF) of the samples are obtained. The characteristics of the crystallographic orientation, the grain structure and the grain boundary are analysed to find the effect of ultrasonic vibration on the microstructure and texture of the bond. The ultrasonic vibration will lead to exceptional refinement of grains to a micron level along the bond area and affect the crystallographic orientation. The grain size of upper foil is much smaller than that of the lower foil. And ultrasonic vibration results in a very weak texture with some characteristic intensity of a rotated cube-orientation and the Brass-orientation and S-orientation.
