1Ionic liquids for high performance lithium metal batteries显示文摘The pursuit of high energy density has promoted the development of high-performance lithium metal batteries.However,it faces a serious security problem.Ionic liquids have attracted great attention due to their high ionic conductivity,non-flammability,and the properties of promoting the formation of stable SEI films.Deeply understanding the problems existing in lithium metal batteries and the role of ionic liquids in them is of great significance for improving the performance of lithium metal batteries.This article reviews the effects of the molecular structure of ionic liquids on ionic conductivity,Li^(+)ion transference number,electrochemical stability window,and lithium metal anode/electrolyte interface,as well as the application of ionic liquids in Li-high voltage cathode batteries,Li-O_(2) batteries and Li-S batteries.The molecular design,composition and polymerization will be the main strategies for the future development of ionic liquid-based electrolytes for high performance lithium metal battery.Kexin Liu Zhuyi Wang Liyi Shi Siriporn Jungsuttiwong Shuai Yuan 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,8:4

3Advances of high-performance LiNi_(1-x-y)Co_(x)M_(y)O_(2) cathode materials and their precursor particles via co-precipitation process显示文摘Layered LiNi_(1-x-y)Co_(x)M_(y)O_(2)(M=Mn or Al)is a promising cathode material for lithium-ion batteries due to its high specific capacity and acceptable manufacturing cost.However,the polycrystalline LiNi_(1-x-y)Co_(x)M_(y)O_(2) cathode material suffers from disordered orientation of primary particles and poor geometric symmetry of secondary particles,which severely hampers the migration of Lit ions.Furthermore,the resulting anisotropy accelerates the disintegration of the secondary particle structure,significantly affecting the electrochemical performance of the polycrystalline cathode.In spite of less grain boundary,the single-crystal LiNi_(1-x-y)Co_(x)M_(y)O_(2) cathodes still suffer from severe microcracks generated by repeated planar gliding during cycling,which poses a great challenge to the cycling stability of single-crystal materials.It's worth noting that the microstructure of the cathode material is mainly inherited from its precursor.Therefore,it is necessary to deeply understand the influence of the microstructure of Ni_(1-x-y)Co_(x)M_(y)(OH)2 on the electrochemical properties of LiNi_(1-x-y)Co_(x)M_(y)O_(2) cathode materials,so as to optimize the production process of preparing high-performance cathode precursors.In this review,we summarize recent advances in the research and development of Ni-rich cathode precursor materials.Firstly,the challenges faced by the Ni-rich hydroxide precursor materials are presented,including the effect of primary particle morphology and arrangement on the electrochemical performance of cathode materials,the influence of secondary particle morphology on lithium insertion reactions in cathode,and the effect of particle size on the microcracking of single-crystal particles.Secondly,the presentation of the conventional co-precipitation reactor,the mechanism of precursor particle growth,and the influence of coprecipitation parameters are described in detail.Finally,the strategies are systematically discussed to solve the challenges of hydroxide precursors,such as the innovation and optimization on reactants,synthesis processes,and reaction equipment.To obtain satisfactory high-quality precursor materials,future work will require an in-depth understanding of the reaction mechanism,combined with simulation techniques such as flow field theory calculations to guide the synthesis of precursors.This review provides a comprehensive analysis of the current progresses on the producing technologies of highperformance cathode precursors and offers prospects for future industry developments.Wenbiao Liang Yin Zhao Liyi Shi Zhuyi Wang Yi Wang Meihong Zhang Shuai Yuan 2024Particuology2024,86,3:1

12A cation-dipole-reinforced elastic polymer electrolyte enabling long-cycling quasi-solid-state lithium metal batteries显示文摘The application of ionic liquids(IL)in polymer electrolytes represents a safer alternative to the currently used organic solvents in lithium batteries due to their nonflammability and thermal stability.However,as a plasticizer,it is generally agreed that the introduction of ionic liquid usually leads to a trade-off between ion transport and mechanical properties of polymer electrolyte.Here we report the synthesis of an IL-embedded polymer electrolyte with both high ionic conductivity(2.77×10^(-4)S cm^(-1)at room temperature)and excellent mechanical properties(high tensile strength up to 11.4 MPa and excellent stretchability of 387%elongation at break)achieved by strong ion–dipole interactions between polymer electrolyte components,which was unveiled by the DFT calculation.Moreover,this polymer electrolyte also exhibits nonflammability,good thermal stability and the ability to recover reversibly from applied stress,i.e.,excellent elasticity.This highly viscoelastic polymer electrolyte enables tight interfacial contact and good adaptability with electrodes for stable lithium stripping/plating for 2000 h under a current density of 0.1 mA cm^(-2).By coupling with this polymer electrolyte,the LiFePO_(4)/Li cells exhibit outstanding cycling stability at room temperature as well as the reliability under extreme environmental temperature or being abused.Zhuyi Wang Yiming Wang Pan Zhai Preeyaporn Poldorn Siriporn Jungsuttiwong Shuai Yuan 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,,12:1

19Coexistence of superconductivity and antiferromagentic order in Er_(2)O_(2)Bi with anti-ThCr_(2)Si_(2) structure显示文摘We investigated the coexistence of superconductivity and antiferromagnetic order in the compound Er_(2)O_(2)Bi with anti-ThCr_(2)Si_(2)-type structure through resistivity,magnetization,specific heat measurements and first-principle calculations.The superconducting transition temperature Tc of 1.23 K and antiferromagnetic transition temperature TN of 3 K are observed in the sample with the best nominal composition.The superconducting upper critical field H_(c2)(0)and electron-phonon coupling constantλe−ph in Er_(2)O_(2)Bi are similar to those in the previously reported non-magnetic superconductor Y_(2)O_(2)Bi with the same structure,indicating that the superconductivity in Er_(2)O_(2)Bi may have the same origin as in Y_(2)O_(2)Bi.The first-principle calculations of Er_(2)O_(2)Bi show that the Fermi surface is mainly composed of the Bi 6p orbitals both in the paramagnetic and antiferromagnetic state,implying minor effect of the 4f electrons on the Fermi surface.Besides,upon increasing the oxygen incorporation in Er_(2)O_(x)Bi,Tc increases from 1 to 1.23 K and TN decreases slightly from 3 K to 2.96 K,revealing that superconductivity and antiferromagnetic order may compete with each other.The Hall effect measurements indicate that hole-type carrier density indeed increases with increasing oxygen content,which may account for the variations of Tc and TN with different oxygen content.Lei Qiao Ning-hua Wu Tianhao Li Siqi Wu Zhuyi Zhang Miaocong Li Jiang Ma Baijiang Lv Yupeng Li Chenchao Xu Qian Tao Chao Cao Guang-Han Cao Zhu-An Xu 2021Frontiers of physics2021,16,6:0
