Breast cancer development and progression:Risk factors, cancer stem cells, signaling pathways, genomics, and molecular pathogenesis显示文摘As the most commonly occurring cancer in women worldwide, breast cancer poses a formidable public health challenge on a global scale.Breast cancer consists of a group of biologically and molecularly heterogeneous diseases originated from the breast. While the risk factors associated with this cancer varies with respect to other cancers, genetic predisposition, most notably mutations in BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene,is an important causative factor for this malignancy.Breast cancers can begin in different areas of the breast, such as the ducts, the lobules,or the tissue in between.Within the large group of diverse breast carcinomas, there are various denoted types of breast cancer based on their invasiveness relative to the primary tumor sites. It is important to distinguish between the various subtypes because they have different prognoses and treatment implications. As there are remarkable parallels between normal development and breast cancer progression at the molecular level,it has been postulated that breast cancer may be derived from mammary cancer stem cells.Normal breast development and mammary stem cells are regulated by several signaling pathways, such as estrogen receptors(ERs),HER2,and Wnt/b-catenin signaling pathways, which control stem cell proliferation, cell death, cell differentiation, and cell motility.Furthermore, emerging evidence indicates that epigenetic regulations and noncoding RNAs may play important roles in breast cancer development and may contribute to the heterogeneity and metastatic aspects of breast cancer, especially for triple-negative breast cancer. This review provides a comprehensive survey of the molecular, cellular and genetic aspects of breast cancer. | Yixiao Feng Mia Spezia Shifeng Huang Chengfu Yuan Zongyue Zeng Linghuan Zhang Xiaojuan Ji Wei Liu Bo Huang Wenping Luo Bo Liu Yan Lei Scott Du Akhila Vuppalapati Hue H.Luu Rex C.Haydon Tong-Chuan He Guosheng Ren | 2018 | Genes & Diseases2018,5,2: | 24
Adenovirus-mediated gene delivery:Potential applications for gene and cell-based therapies in the new era of personalized medicine显示文摘With rapid advances in understanding molecular pathogenesis of human diseases in the era of genome sciences and systems biology,it is anticipated that increasing numbers of therapeutic genes or targets will become available for targeted therapies.Despite numerous setbacks, efficacious gene and/or cell-based therapies still hold the great promise to revolutionize the clinical management of human diseases. It is wildly recognized that poor gene delivery is the limiting factor for most in vivo gene therapies. There has been a long-lasting interest in using viral vectors, especially adenoviral vectors,to deliver therapeutic genes for the past two decades.Among all currently available viral vectors, adenovirus is the most efficient gene delivery system in a broad range of cell and tissue types. The applications of adenoviral vectors in gene delivery have greatly increased in number and efficiency since their initial development. In fact, among over 2000 gene therapy clinical trials approved worldwide since 1989,a significant portion of the trials have utilized adenoviral vectors. This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview on the characteristics of adenoviral vectors, including adenoviral biology, approaches to engineering adenoviral vectors, and their applications in clinical and preclinical studies with an emphasis in the areas of cancer treatment, vaccination and regenerative medicine.Current challenges and future directions regarding the use of adenoviral vectors are also discussed. It is expected that the continued improvements in adenoviral vectors should provide great opportunities for cell and gene therapies to live up to its enormous potential in personalized medicine. | Cody S.Lee Elliot S.Bishop Ruyi Zhang Xinyi Yu Evan M.Farina Shujuan Yan Chen Zhao Zongyue Zeng Yi Shu Xingye Wu Jiayan Lei Yasha Li Wenwen Zhang Chao Yang Ke Wu Ying Wu Sherwin Ho Aravind Athiviraham Michael J.Lee Jennifer Moriatis Wolf Russell R.Reid Tong-Chuan He | 2017 | Genes & Diseases2017,4,2: | 19
Consensus on the application of negative pressure wound therapy of diabetic foot wounds显示文摘Because China is becoming an aging society, the incidence of diabetes and diabetic foot have been increasing.Diabetic foot has become one of the main health-related killers due to its high disability and mortality rates.Negative pressure wound therapy(NPWT)is one of the most effective techniques for the treatment of diabetic foot wounds and great progress, both in terms of research and its clinical application, has been made in the last 20 years of its development. However, due to the complex pathogenesis and management of diabetic foot, irregular application of NPWT often leads to complications, such as infection, bleeding and necrosis, that seriously affect its treatment outcomes. In 2020,under the leadership of Burns,Trauma and Tissue Repair Committee of the Cross-Straits Medicine Exchange Association, the writing group for‘Consensus on the application of negative pressure wound therapy of diabetic foot wounds’was established with the participation of scholars from the specialized areas of burns, endocrinology, vascular surgery, orthopedics and wound repair.Drawing on evidence-based practice suggested by the latest clinical research, this consensus proposes the best clinical practice guidelines for the application and prognostic evaluation of NPWT for diabetic foot. The consensus aims to support the formation of standardized treatment schemes that clinicians can refer to when treating cases of diabetic foot. | Shizhao Ji Xiaobin Liu Jie Huang Junmin Bao Zhaohong Chen Chunmao Han Daifeng Hao Jingsong Hong Dahai Hu Yufeng Jiang Shang Ju Hongye Li Zongyu Li Guangping Liang Yan Liu Gaoxing Luo Guozhong Lv Xingwu Ran Zhongmin Shi Juyu Tang Aiping Wang Guangyi Wang Jiangning Wang Xin Wang Bing Wen Jun Wu Hailin Xu Maojin Xu Xiaofei Ye Liangxi Yuan Yi Zhang Shichu Xiao Zhaofan Xia | 2021 | Burns & Trauma2021,9,1: | 17
The origin and geological significance of lunar ridges显示文摘Lunar ridges are a kind of familiar linear structures developed on the lunar surface. The distribution pattern, formation mechanism and research significance of lunar ridges are discussed in this paper. Single lunar ridges are usually distributed in the form of broken lineation, and, as whole, lunar ridges are trapezoidal or annular in shape around the maria. As to the formation mechanism, only volcanism or tectonism was emphasized in the past, but the two processes are seldom taken into combined consideration. On the basis of detailed analyses, the authors thought that tectonism is a prerequisite for the formation of lunar ridges, while volcanism is the key factor controlling their particular shapes. Finally, the authors pointed out that it is very significant in the study of lunar ridges to link the course of lunar structure evolution with the stress state in the lunar crust. | YUE Zongyu OUYANG Ziyuan LI Haobin LIU Jianzhong WU Ganguo | 2007 | Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2007,26,4: | 11
Clearance Influence on Dynamic Response of Intermittent Roller Chain Drive显示文摘The clearances appear in chain link hinges induced by manufacturing tolerance or wear of components are the most important factor that influences the dynamic performance of the intermittent roller chain drives.Due to the existence of the clearances in chain link hinges, the serious impact vibration phenomenon which influences the stability and the position accuracy of the chain drive system would be caused in the intermittent motion. But,the problem may be that a reasonable modeling on the chain with clearances is difficult due to the large clearance's number in chain system and the fact that the clearance' size are different.Currently, the studies on the dynamics of the intermittent roller chain considering the multi-clearance' joints are rare. Most research works have only focused on the constant moving chains.Taking the intermittent roller chain system as an object, this paper designs and builds the experimental device of this kind of mechanical system. The Longitudinal vibration response of the intermittent chain under the different motion laws was tested. The experimental study shows that the clearances presented in chain link hinges can cause severe impact vibration in the intermittent motion of chain. In subsequent work, the dynamic model of the intermittent roller chain system with the multi-clearance' joints was established.By calculating the dynamic response of this kind of mechanical system under the different motion laws, the effect of the clearances on the dynamic response of the intermittent chain drive system was analyzed. The theoretical simulation shows that the serious impact vibration phenomenon of the chain system can be caused by the clearances at the start accelerating period, and the chain drive system is often accompanied by the severe shock and vibration at the moment that the chain moves from the acceleration period to deceleration period. The research conclusions made by the experimental and theoretical studies indicate that the use of motion laws with small and continuous jerk at conversion point can effectively suppress the impact vibration at this point caused by clearances' effect.Additionally, the use of nonsymmetrical motion laws with small jerk approaching the end of the indexing period can obtain a smaller residual vibration. The presented motion law can provide an important reference for the improvement of the dynamic performance of the intermittent chain drive systems. | XU Lixin YANG Yuhu CHANG Zongyu SHEN Zhaoguang LIU Jianping | 2010 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,6: | 11
Transcriptomic landscape regulated by the 14 types of bone morphogenetic proteins(BMPs)in lineage commitment and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)显示文摘Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are ubiquitously-existing multipotent progenitors that can self-renew and differentiate into multiple lineages including osteocytes, chondrocytes, adipocytes, tenocytes and myocytes.MSCs represent one of the most commonly-used adult progenitors and serve as excellent progenitor cell models for investigating lineagespecific differentiation regulated by various cellular signaling pathways, such as bone morphogenetic proteins(BMPs).As members of TGFb superfamily,BMPs play diverse and important roles in development and adult tissues. At least 14 BMPs have been identified in mammals.Different BMPs exert distinct but overlapping biological functions.Through a comprehensive analysis of 14 BMPs in MSCs,we demonstrated that BMP9 is one of the most potent BMPs in inducing osteogenic differentiation of MSCs.Nonetheless,a global mechanistic view of BMP signaling in regulating the proliferation and differentiation of MSCs remains to be fully elucidated. Here,we conducted a comprehensive transcriptomic profiling in the MSCs stimulated by 14 types of BMPs.Hierarchical clustering analysis classifies 14 BMPs into three subclusters:an osteo/chondrogenic/adipogenic cluster,a tenogenic cluster, and BMP3 cluster. We also demonstrate that six BMPs(e.g.,BMP2,BMP3,BMP4,BMP7,BMP8,and BMP9)can induce ISmads effectively, while BMP2,BMP3,BMP4,BMP7,and BMP11 up-regulate Smad-independent MAP kinase pathway.Furthermore,we show that many BMPs can upregulate the expression of the signal mediators of Wnt,Notch and PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathways. While the reported transcriptomic changes need to be further validated, our expression profiling represents the first-of-its-kind to interrogate a comprehensive transcriptomic landscape regulated by the 14 types of BMPs in MSCs. | Linghuan Zhang Qing Luo Yi Shu Zongyue Zeng Bo Huang Yixiao Feng Bo Zhang Xi Wang Yan Lei Zhenyu Ye Ling Zhao Daigui Cao Lijuan Yang Xian Chen Bin Liu William Wagstaff Russell R*Reid Hue H*Luu Rex C*Haydon Michael J*Lee Jennifer Moriatis Wolf Zhou Fu Tong-Chuan He Quan Kang | 2019 | Genes & Diseases2019,6,3: | 11
Process optimization of neodymium chloride solutions precipitated by magnesium bicarbonate显示文摘Rare earths(REs) are of vital importance for the development of new materials and green energy.Magnesium bicarbonate is one of the most recyclable and environmental-friendly precipitant for REs recovery from leaching solutions. Nd_2(CO_3)_3 has difficulties in industrial production. So in this study, the precipitation of neodymium from chloride solution by magnesium bicarbonate are investigated. The effects of feeding method, [HCO_3^-]/[Nd^(3+)] mole ratio, feeding speed and reaction temperature on yield and impurity(magnesia) content are systematically studied. Results show that the impurity(magnesia)content decreases to 0.010 wt% with a yield approaching to 100% obtained under the conditions of[HCO_3^-]/[Nd^(3+)] = 3.00 by parallel flow addition at 50 ℃. The major impurity(magnesia) in rare earth carbonates mainly presents in the form of physical absorption, which can be easily removed by scrubbing. Therefore, it offers a promising green process that uses magnesium bicarbonate to produce neodymium carbonate due to its cycling of carbon dioxide, magnesium salt and waste water. | Yannan Yan Yang Xu Xiaowei Huang Zongyu Feng Yongke Hou Kai Li Liangshi Wang Yihanna Hu | 2019 | Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,4: | 10
Highly expressed BMP9/GDF2 in postnatal mouse liver and lungs may account for its pleiotropic effects on stem cell differentiation, angiogenesis, tumor growth and metabolism显示文摘Bone morphogenetic protein 9(BMP9)(or GDF2)was originally identified from fetal mouse liver cDNA libraries.Emerging evidence indicates BMP9 exerts diverse and pleiotropic functions during postnatal development and in maintaining tissue homeostasis. However, the expression landscape of BMP9 signaling during development and/or in adult tissues remains to be analyzed. Here,we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the expression landscape of BMP9 and its signaling mediators in postnatal mice.By analyzing mouse ENCODE transcriptome datasets we found Bmp9 was highly expressed in the liver and detectable in embryonic brain, adult lungs and adult placenta. We next conducted a comprehensive qPCR analysis of RNAs isolated from major mouse tissues/organs at various ages.We found that Bmp9 was highly expressed in the liver and lung tissues of young adult mice, but decreased in older mice.Interestingly,Bmp9 was only expressed at low to modest levels in developing bones.BMP9-associated TGFβ/BMPR type I receptor Alk1 was highly expressed in the adult lungs.Furthermore, the feedback inhibitor Smads Smad6 and Smad7 were widely expressed in mouse postnatal tissues. However, the BMP signaling antagonist noggin was highly expressed in fat and heart in the older age groups,as well as in kidney, liver and lungs in a biphasic fashion. Thus, our findings indicate that the circulating BMP9 produced in liver and lungs may account for its pleiotropic effects on postnatal tissues/organs although possible roles of BMP9 signaling in liver and lungs remain to be fully understood. | Wei Liu Zhongliang Deng Zongyue Zeng Jiaming Fan Yixiao Feng Xi Wang Daigui Cao Bo Zhang Lijuan Yang Bin Liu Mikhail Pakvasa William Wagstaff Xiaoxing Wu Huaxiu Luo Jing Zhang Meng Zhang Fang He Yukun Mao Huiming Ding Yongtao Zhang Changchun Niu Rex C.Haydon Hue H.Luu Jennifer Moriatis Wolf Michael J.Lee Wei Huang Tong-Chuan He Yulong Zou | 2020 | Genes & Diseases2020,7,2: | 9
Dynamic Analysis of Propulsion Mechanism Directly Driven by Wave Energy for Marine Mobile Buoy显示文摘Marine mobile buoy(MMB) have many potential applications in the maritime industry and ocean science.Great progress has been made, however the technology in this area is far from maturity in theory and faced with many difficulties in application.A dynamic model of the propulsion mechanism is very necessary for optimizing the parameters of the MMB,especially with consideration of hydrodynamic force. The principle of wave-driven propulsion mechanism is briefly introduced. To set a theory foundation for study on the MMB,a dynamic model of the propulsion mechanism of the MMB is obtained. The responses of the motion of the platform and the hydrofoil are obtained by using a numerical integration method to solve the ordinary differential equations.A simplified form of the motion equations is reached by omitting terms with high order small values. The relationship among the heave motion of the buoy, stiffness of the elastic components, and the forward speed can be obtained by using these simplified equations. The dynamic analysis show the following:The angle of displacement of foil is fairly small with the biggest value around 0.3 rad;The speed of mobile buoy and the angle of hydrofoil increased gradually with the increase of heave motion of buoy; The relationship among heaven motion, stiffness and attack angle is that heave motion leads to the angle change of foil whereas the item of speed or push function is determined by vertical velocity and angle, therefore, the heave motion and stiffness can affect the motion of buoy significantly if the size of hydrofoil is kept constant. The proposed model is provided to optimize the parameters of the MMB and a foundation is laid for improving the performance of the MMB. | YU Zhenjiang ZHENG Zhongqiang YANG Xiaoguang CHANG Zongyu | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2016,29,4: | 8
Microvesicles(MIVs)secreted from adipose-derived stem cells(ADSCs)contain multiple microRNAs and promote the migration and invasion of endothelial cells显示文摘Extracellular vesicles(EVs)such as microvesicles(MIVs)play an important role in intercellular communications.MIVs are small membrane vesicles sized 100e1000 nm in diameter that are released by many types of cells, such as mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs),tumor cells and adipose-derived stem cells(ADSC).As EVs can carry out autocrine and paracrine functions by controlling multiple cell processes,it is conceivable that EVs can be used as delivery vehicles for treating several clinical conditions, such as to improve cardiac angiogenesis after myocardial infarction(MI).Here,we seek to investigate whether ADSC-derived MIVs contain microRNAs that regulate angiogenesis and affect cell migration of endothelial cells. We first characterized the ADSC-derived MIVs and found that the MIVs had a size range of 100 e300 nm,and expressed the MIV marker protein Alix.We then analyzed the microRNAs in ADSCs and ADSC-derived MIVs and demonstrated that ADSC-derived MIVs selectively released a panel of microRNAs,several of which were related to angiogenesis, including two members of the let-7 family.Furthermore,we demonstrated that ADSC-derived MIVs promoted the cell migration and invasion of the HUVEC endothelial cells. The PKH26-labeled ADSC-derived MIVs were effectively uptaken into the cytoplasm of HUVEC cells.Collectively, our results demonstrate that the ADSC-derived MIVs can promote migration and invasion abilities of endothelial cells, suggesting pro-angiogenetic potential.Future studies should focus on investigating the roles and mechanisms through which ADSC-derived MIVs regulate angiogenesis. | Bo Huang Lin-Feng Huang Ling Zhao Zongyue Zeng Xi Wang Daigui Cao Lijuan Yang Zhenyu Ye Xian Chen Bin Liu Tong-Chuan He Xiaozhong Wang | 2020 | Genes & Diseases2020,7,2: | 8
Dynamic Modeling of a Roller Chain Drive System Considering the Flexibility of Input Shaft显示文摘Roller chain drives are widely used in various high-speed, high-load and power transmission applications, but their complex dynamic behavior is not well researched. Most studies were only focused on the analysis of the vibration of chain tight span, and in these models, many factors are neglected. In this paper, a mathematical model is developed to calculate the dynamic response of a roller chain drive working at constant or variable speed condition. In the model, the complete chain transmission with two sprockets and the necessary tight and slack spans is used. The effect of the flexibility of input shaft on dynamic response of the chain system is taken into account, as well as the elastic deformation in the chain, the inertial forces, the gravity and the torque on driven shaft. The nonlinear equations of movement are derived from using Lagrange equations and solved numerically. Given the center distance and the two initial position angles of teeth on driving and driven sprockets corresponding to the first seating roller on each side of the tight span, dynamics of any roller chain drive with two sprockets and two spans can be analyzed by the procedure. Finally, a numerical example is given and the validity of the procedure developed is demonstrated by analyzing the dynamic behavior of a typical roller chain drive. The model can well simulate the transverse and longitudinal vibration of the chain spans and the torsional vibration of the sprockets. This study can provide an effective method for the analysis of the dynamic characteristics of all the chain drive systems. | XU Lixin YANG Yuhu1 CHANG Zongyu LIU Jianping | 2010 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,3: | 7
An Overview of Finite/Fixed-Time Control and Its Application in Engineering Systems显示文摘The finite/fixed-time stabilization and tracking control is currently a hot field in various systems since the faster convergence can be obtained. By contrast to the asymptotic stability, the finite-time stability possesses the better control performance and disturbance rejection property. Different from the finite-time stability, the fixed-time stability has a faster convergence speed and the upper bound of the settling time can be estimated. Moreover, the convergent time does not rely on the initial information. This work aims at presenting an overview of the finite/fixed-time stabilization and tracking control and its applications in engineering systems. Firstly, several fundamental definitions on the finite/fixed-time stability are recalled. Then, the research results on the finite/fixed-time stabilization and tracking control are reviewed in detail and categorized via diverse input signal structures and engineering applications. Finally, some challenging problems needed to be solved are presented. | Yang Liu Hongyi Li Zongyu Zuo Xiaodi Li Renquan Lu | 2022 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2022,9,12: | 6
Convolution without multiplication:A general speed up strategy for CNNs显示文摘Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)have achieved great success in many computer vision tasks. However,it is difficult to deploy CNN models on low-cost devices with limited power budgets, because most existing CNN models are computationally expensive. Therefore,CNN model compression and acceleration have become a hot research topic in the deep learning area.Typical schemes for speeding up the feed-forward process with a slight accuracy loss include parameter pruning and sharing,low-rank factorization, compact convolutional filters and knowledge distillation. In this study,we propose a general acceleration scheme that replaces the floating-point multiplication with integer addition. To this end,we propose a general accelerate scheme, where the floating point multiplication is replaced by integer addition. The motivation is based on the fact that every floating point can be replaced by the summation of an exponential series. Therefore, the multiplication between two floating points can be converted to the addition among exponentials. In the experiment section,we directly apply the proposed scheme to AlexNet,VGG,ResNet for image classification, and Faster-RCNN for object detection. The results acquired from ImageNet and PASCAL VOC show that the proposed quantized scheme has a promising performance, even with only one item of exponential. Moreover,we analyzed the eciency of our method on mainstream FPGAs.The experimental results show that the proposed quantized scheme can achieve acceleration on FPGA with a slight accuracy loss. | CAI GuoRong YANG ShengMing DU Jing WANG ZongYue HUANG Bin GUAN Yin SU SongJian SU JinHe SU SongZhi | 2021 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,12: | 5
Establishment and functional characterization of the reversibly immortalized mouse glomerular podocytes(imPODs)显示文摘Glomerular podocytes are highly specialized epithelial cells and play an essential role in establishing the selective permeability of the glomerular filtration barrier of kidney.Maintaining the viability and structural integrity of podocytes is critical to the clinical management of glomerular diseases, which requires a thorough understanding of podocyte cell biology. As mature podocytes lose proliferative capacity,a conditionally SV40 mutant tsA58-immortalized mouse podocyte line(designated as tsPC)was established from the Immortomouse over 20 years ago. However, the utility of the tsPC cells is hampered by the practical inconvenience of culturing these cells. In this study,we establish a user-friendly and reversibly-immortalized mouse podocyte line(designated as imPOD),on the basis of the tsPC cells by stably expressing the wildtype SV40 T-antigen,which is flanked with FRT sites. We show the imPOD cells exhibit long-term high proliferative activity, which can be effectively reversed by FLP recombinase. The imPOD cells express most podocyte-related markers, including WT-1,Nephrin,Tubulin and Vinculin, but not differentiation marker Synaptopodin. The imPOD cells do not form tumor-like masses in vivo.We further demonstrate that TGFb1 induces a podocyte injury-like response in the FLP-reverted imPOD cells by suppressing the expression of slit diaphragm-associated proteins P-Cadherin and ZO-1 and upregulating the expression of mesenchymal markers,a-SMA,Vimentin and Nestin,as well as fibrogenic factors CTGF and Col1a1.Collectively,our results strongly demonstrate that the newly engineered im-POD cells should be a valuable tool to study podocyte biology both under normal and under pathological conditions. | Xinyi Yu Liqun Chen Ke Wu Shujuan Yan Ruyi Zhang Chen Zhao Zongyue Zeng Yi Shu Shifeng Huang Jiayan Lei Xiaojuan Ji Chengfu Yuan Linghuan Zhang Yixiao Feng Wei Liu Bo Huang Bo Zhang Wenping Luo Xi Wang Bo Liu Rex C.Haydon Hue H.Luu Tong-Chuan He Hua Gan | 2018 | Genes & Diseases2018,5,2: | 5
Mechanics of Aquitard Drainage by Aquifer-System Compaction and Its Implications for Water-Management in the North China Plain显示文摘The deformation of aquitard is the main contribution to land subsidence in the North China Plain, and the water released from aquitard compaction may be a large portion of the exploited groundwater. In this study, the consolidation test was employed to understand the mechanics on the drainage and deformation of aquitard. The results suggested the strain of aquitard mainly resulted from the difference of hydraulic head between aquifers. And it was decreased with depth of aquitard at the same hydrodynamic pressure. In contrast with the interbed within aquifers, the aquitard was deformable when it was compressed. The weakly bound water was significantly released when the void ratio was about 0.44–0.45, and the EC of water released from the aquitard was decreased with the compacting process. The data from the consolidation test suggested that the pumping of groundwater from aquifer III might be less contribution to the land subsidence with respect to other aquifers in the future. | Chen Su Zongyu Chen Jiang Chen Yuhong Fei Jingsheng Chen Baoqian Duan | 2014 | Journal of Earth Science2014,25,3: | 5
Alterations in gut microbiota and metabolites associated with altitude-induced cardiac hypertrophy in rats during hypobaric hypoxia challenge显示文摘The gut microbiota is involved in host responses to high altitude. However, the dynamics of intestinal microecology and their association with altitude-related illness are poorly understood. Here,we used a rat model of hypobaric hypoxia challenge to mimic plateau exposure and monitored the gut microbiome,short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs),and bile acids(BAs)over 28 d.We identified weight loss, polycythemia, and pathological cardiac hypertrophy in hypoxic rats, accompanied by a large compositional shift in the gut microbiota, which is mainly driven by the bacterial families of Prevotellaceae,Porphyromonadaceae, and Streptococcaceae. The aberrant gut microbiota was characterized by increased abundance of the Parabacteroides,Alistipes, and Lactococcus genera and a larger Bacteroides to Prevotella ratio.Trans-omics analyses showed that the gut microbiome was significantly correlated with the metabolic abnormalities of SCFAs and BAs in feces, suggesting an interaction network remodeling of the microbiome-metabolome after the hypobaric hypoxia challenge.Interestingly, the transplantation of fecal microbiota significantly increased the diversity of the gut microbiota, partially inhibited the increased abundance of the Bacteroides and Alistipes genera, restored the decrease of plasma propionate, and moderately ameliorated cardiac hypertrophy in hypoxic rats. Our results provide an insight into the longitudinal changes in intestinal microecology during the hypobaric hypoxia challenge.Abnormalities in the gut microbiota and microbial metabolites contribute to the development of high-altitude heart disease in rats. | Zhiyuan Pan Yichen Hu Zongyu Huang Ni Han Yan Li Xiaomei Zhuang Jiye Yin Hui Peng Quansheng Gao Wenpeng Zhang Yong Huang Yujun Cui Yujing Bi Zhenjiang Zech Xu Ruifu Yang | 2022 | Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,10: | 5
Ultrafast nonlinear absorption and nonlinear refraction in few-layer oxidized black phosphorus显示文摘We experimentally investigated the nonlinear optical response in few-layer oxidized black phosphorus(OBP) by the femtosecond Z-scan measurement technique, and found that OBP not only possesses strong ultrafast saturable absorption but also a nonlinear self-defocusing effect that is absent in black phosphorus(BP). The saturable absorption property originates mainly from the direct band structure, which is still maintained in OBP. The emergence of self-defocusing might originate from the combined consequences of the oxygen-induced defects in BP. Our experimental findings might constitute the first experimental evidence on how to dynamically tune its nonlinear property, offering an inroad in tailoring its optical properties through chemical modification(oxidation, introducing defects, etc.). Besides, the effects of stirring rate, temperature, specific interfacial area and concentration of Mg-HEH/EHP on the extraction rate of Nd(Ⅲ) were systematically investigated. Results show that, the rate of extraction is governed by both diffusion and chemical reaction, and the extraction reaction takes place at the interface. The apparent activation energy of the extraction reaction is 16.88 kJ/mol. The corresponding rate equation is deduced. | 20 | Grain boundary segregation and its influences on ionic conduction properties of scandia doped zirconia electrolytes显示文摘Solid oxide fuel cell is a promising energy conversion system which converts chemical energy into electrical energy directly. Electrolyte is the key component and determines the working temperature. In this paper, ceria and scandia co-doped zirconia electrolytes sintered from 1300 to 1550 ℃ were chosen as research objects. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy were performed to characterize the ceramic samples. The effects of grain size and grain boundary element segregation on the electrical conductivity were focused. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was used to calculate the bulk, grain boundary and specific grain boundary conductivity. Results show that the bulk and grain boundary ionic conductivity increases with the increasing grain size. However, the specific grain boundary conductivity decreases with the increasing grain size. This is explained by the fact that Sc^(3+) is segregated at the grain boundary, which leads to higher oxygen vacancy concentration when sintered at lower temperature. | Qiannan Xue Xiaowei Huang Jianxing Zhang He Zhang Zongyu Feng | 2019 | Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,6: | 4
