1Hydroxyl radical electrochemically generated with water as the complete atom source and its environ-mental application显示文摘The most reactive hydroxyl radical (°OH) was generated by electrochemical approach with safe water as the complete atom source. The direct evidence for °OH formation was obtained by electron spin resonance method. The powerful °OH electrochemically generated could effectively degrade organic pollutants and reduce the toxicity of wastewater. Electrochemical disinfection by °OH was considerably efficient even without the aid of active chlorine. Bacteria inactivation of 99.99% was achieved for contact time of 30 min and current density of 5 mA·cm-2. In comparison with active chlorine, °OH is rather attractive as a promising environmentally benign disinfectant and opens a new route for microbial inactivation.CONG YanQing WU ZuCheng LI YuQiong 2007Chinese Science Bulletin2007,52,10:4
2Spatial and temporal variabilities of rainstorms over China under climate change显示文摘Rainstorms are one of the extreme rainfall events that cause serious disasters,such as urban flooding and mountain torrents.Traditional studies have used rain gauge observations to analyze rainstorm events,but relevant information is usually missing in gauge-sparse areas.Satellite-derived precipitation datasets serve as excellent supplements or substitutes for the gauge observations.By developing a grid-based rainstorm-identification tool,we used the Tropical Rainfall Measurement Mission(TRMM)Multi-satellite Precipitation Analysis(TMPA)time series product to reveal the spatial and temporal variabilities of rainstorms over China during 1998–2017.Significant patterns of both increasing and decreasing rainstorm occurrences were detected,with no spatially uniform trend being observed across the whole country.There was an increase in the area being affected by rainstorms during the 20-year period,with rainstorm centers shifting along the southwest–northeast direction.Rainstorm occurrence was found to be correlated with local total precipitation.By comparing rainstorm occurrence with climate variables such as the El Ni?o-Southern Oscillation and Pacific Decadal Oscillation,we also found that climate change was likely to be the primary reason for rainstorm occurrence in China.This study complements previous studies that used gauge observations by providing a better understanding of the spatiotemporal dynamics of China’s rainstorms.HUANG Chang ZHANG Shiqiang DONG Linyao WANG Zucheng LI Linyi CUI Luming 2021Journal of Geographical Sciences2021,31,4:3

11Vapor phase growth of two-dimensional PdSe2 nanosheets for high-photoresponsivity near-infrared photodetectors显示文摘Palladium diselenide(PdSe2),a stable layered material with pentagonal structure,has attracted extensive interest due to its excellent electrical and optoelectronic performance.Here,we report a reliable process to synthesize PdSe2 via chemical vapor deposition(CVD)method.Through systematic regulation of temperature in the growth process,we can tune the thickness,size,nucleation density and morphology of PdSe2 nanosheets.Field-effect transistors based on PdSe2 nanosheets exhibit n-type behavior and present a high electron mobility of 105 cm^2·V^−1·s^−1.The electrical property of the devices after 6 months keeping in the air show little change,implying outstanding air-stability of PdSe2.In addition,PdSe2 near-infrared photodetector shows a photoresponsivity of 660 A·W^−1 under 914 nm laser.These performances are better than those of most CVD-grown 2D materials,making ultrathin PdSe2 a highly qualified candidate material for next-generation optoelectronic applications.Weiting Xu Jiayang Jiang Huifang Ma Zhengwei Zhang Jia Li Bei Zhao Ruixia Wu Xiangdong Yang Hongmei Zhang Bailing Li Weining Shu Zucheng Zhang Bo Li Yuan Liu Lei Liao Xidong Duan 2020Nano Research2020,13,8:1

16Synthesis of two-dimensional/one-dimensional heterostructures with tunable width显示文摘Two-dimensional/one-dimensional(2D/1D)heterostructures as a new type of heterostructure have been studied for their unusual properties and promising applications in electronic and optoelectronic devices.However,the studies of 2D/1D heterostructures are mainly focused on vertical heterostructures,such as MoS_(2) nanosheet-carbon nanotubes.The research on lateral 2D/1D heterostructures with a tunable width of 1D material is still scarce.In this study,bidirectional flow chemical vapor deposition(CVD)was used to accurately control the width of the WS_(2)/WSe2(WS_(2)/MoS_(2))heterostructures by controlling reacting time.WSe2 and MoS_(2) with different widths were epitaxially grown at the edge of WS_(2),respectively.Optical microscope,atomic force microscope(AFM),and scanning electron microscope(SEM)images show the morphology and width of the heterostructures.These results show that the width of the heterostructures can be as low as 10 nm by using this method.The interface of the heterostructure is clear and smooth,which is suitable for application.This report offers a new method for the growth of 1D nanowires,and lays the foundation for the future study of the physical and chemical properties of 2D/1D lateral heterostructures.Di Wang Zucheng Zhang Bo Li Xidong Duan 2021Journal of Semiconductors2021,42,9:1
