| 1 | SNP-based QTL mapping for panicle traits in the japonica super rice cultivar Liaoxing 1显示文摘Panicle traits directly associated with yield are a target of selection in rice breeding.Although abundant QTL for panicle traits have been identified, there is little information about the genetic basis of panicle traits in japonica super rice(JSR)cultivars. In this study,we identified QTL for panicle traits in three environments using a population of recombinant inbred lines(RILs)derived from the JSR cultivar Liaoxing 1.A total of 197 RILs were genotyped with 285 polymorphic SNP markers.Phenotypic data and best linear unbiased prediction(BLUP)value of primary branch number(BNP),secondary branch number(BNS),grain number on primary branch(GNP),grain number on secondary branch(GNS),grain number per panicle(GN),panicle length(PL)and grain density(GD)were used for QTL mapping.A total of 105 QTL for seven panicle traits were detected in single environments using their BLUP values.Individual QTL explained 0.51%–52.22%of the phenotypic variation.Of the 105,49 were also detected by joint multi-environment analyses.Five stable QTL:qGD9,qPL9,qGNP9,qGN6,and qBNS6.2 were identified in multiple environments.qGD9,qGNP9,and qPL9,co-localizing on chromosome 9,likely correspond to the known gene DEP1.Importantly,qGN6 and qBNS6.2 in a co-localization region were identified as novel QTL,and their Liaoxing 1 alleles had a positive effect.Several RILs with the QTL allele combinations qGD9/qPL9/qGNP9 and qGN6/qBNS6.2 showed greater GN.Further investigation of the putative gene underlying qGN6/qBNS6.2 would shed light on the molecular mechanism of JSR. | Mingzhu Zhao Zuobin Ma Lili Wang Zhiqiang Tang Ting Mao Chuanbin Liang Hong Gao Liying Zhang Na He Liang Fu Changhua Wang Guomin Sui Wenjing Zheng | 2020 | The Crop Journal2020,8,5: | 4 |
| 2 | Adaptively secure ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption with dynamic policy updating显示文摘Attribute-Based Encryption(ABE) is a promising new cryptographic technique which guarantees fine-grained access control of outsourced encrypted data in the cloud. With the help of ABE, the majority of security issues in accessing cloud data can be solved. However, a key limitation remains, namely policy updating.Whenever the access policy is updated, a common approach is to have the data owner retrieve the data and reencrypt it with new policy, before sending the new ciphertext back to the cloud. This straight-forward approach will lead to heavy computation and communication overhead. Although a number of other approaches have been proposed in this regard, they suffer from two limitations; namely, supporting only limited update-policy types or having weak security models. In order to address these limitations, we propose a novel solution to the attribute-based encryption access control system by introducing a dynamic policy-updating technique which we call DPU-CP-ABE. The scheme is proved to be adaptively secure under the standard model and can support any type of policy updating. In addition, our scheme can significantly reduce the computation and communication costs of updating ciphertext. | Zuobin YING Hui LI Jianfeng MA Junwei ZHANG Jiangtao CUI | 2016 | Science China(Information Sciences)2016,59,4: | 3 |
| 3 | Scoring the collective effects of SNPs: association of minor alleles with complex traits in model organisms显示文摘It has long been assumed that most parts of a genome and most genetic variations or SNPs are non-functional with regard to reproductive fitness. However, the collective effects of SNPs have yet to be examined by experimental science. We here developed a novel approach to examine the relationship between traits and the total amount of SNPs in panels of genetic reference populations. We identified the minor alleles(MAs)in each panel and the MA content(MAC)that each inbred strain carried for a set of SNPs with genotypes determined in these panels.MAC was nearly linearly linked to quantitative variations in numerous traits in model organisms, including life span, tumor susceptibility, learning and memory, sensitivity to alcohol and anti-psychotic drugs, and two correlated traits poor reproductive fitness and strong immunity. These results suggest that the collective effects of SNPs are functional and do affect reproductive fitness. | YUAN DeJian ZHU ZuoBin TAN XiaoHua LIANG Jie ZENG Chen ZHANG JieGen CHEN Jun MA Long DOGAN Ayca BROCKMANN Gudrun GOLDMANN Oliver MEDINA Eva RICE Amanda D. | 4 | Analysis of parental genetic diversity and its impact on grain yield and quality of japonica hybrid rice in northern China显示文摘The relationship between parental genetic differences and the quality and yield of japonica hybrid rice strongly influences japonica hybrid rice breeding. In this study,137 parental lines of japonica hybrid rice were genotyped using 8 K rice SNP-Chips to characterize their genetic diversity, population structure, and indica-genotype proportion. The genetic diversity of total parental lines averaged 0.264,with values of0.287 for restorer lines and 0.148 for the sterile lines. The introduction of indica lineage increased the genetic diversity of restorer lines relative to that of sterile lines.By model-based population structure analysis, the 137 lines were divided into 14 groups.According to the grouping results, eight restorer lines and five sterile lines were selected from different groups for cross breeding, yielding 40 japonica hybrid rice combinations(F1).Investigation of the yield and quality of these combinations showed that highyield combinations could be obtained by increasing parental genetic distance to 0.8–0.9,a result accomplished largely by the introduction of indica genomic components of restorer lines. To further improve grain quality, the genetic distance between parents should be reduced to 0.4–0.5,suggesting an indicagenotype proportion of 30%–40%for restorer lines. This study may provide a reference for breeding of japonica hybrid rice. | Hong Gao Zuobin Ma Yuanzheng Wang Manli Zhang Xianju Wang Changhua Wang Zhiqiang Tang Liying Zhang Liang Fu Na He Hui Wang Yongan Yin Yuanjun Bai Guomin Sui Wenjing Zheng | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,3: | 1 |

| 6 | P2HBT:Partially Policy Hidden E-Healthcare System with Black-Box Traceability显示文摘Electronic health record(EHR),as the core of the e-healthcare system,is an electronic version of patient medical history, which records personal healthrelated information.EHR embodies the value of disease monitoring through large-scale sharing via the Cloud service provider(CSP).However, the health data-centric feature makes EHR more preferable to the adversaries compared with other outsourcing data. Moreover, there may even be malicious users who deliberately leak their access privileges for benefits. An e-healthcare system with a black-box traceable and robust data security mechanism is presented for the first time.Specifically,we propose an effective P2 HBT,which can perform fine-grained access control on encrypted EHRs,prevent the leakage of privacy contained in access policies, and support tracing of traitors.Under the standard model, the scheme is proved fully secure.Performance analysis demonstrates that P2HBT can achieve the design goals and outperform existing schemes in terms of storage and computation overhead. | YING Zuobin SI Yuanping MA Jianfeng JIANG Wenjie XU Shengmin LIU Ximeng | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2021,30,2: | 0 |
